How do you figure out if a game is good before buying? We obviously cant trust journalists
How do you figure out if a game is good before buying? We obviously cant trust journalists
Watch Pewdiepie
What's the point of Assist Mode?
dab on them
ask someone who is not a game journalist, or failing that, pirate it and see for yourself
I don't know but if you look at a game and feel physical effects on your body like your eyes hurting then it's probably a bad sign
>How do you figure out if a game is good before buying? We obviously cant trust journalists
I honestly trust Steam reviews.
I read like 10 of them get the general feeling of the community ,and I know where I stand compared to the general community, so I'll know if I will like it.
Also, I watch a minute or so of gameplay.
Who would trust gamin' "journalists"? We all know they're corrupt as fuck.
Uncommented longplays on youtube.
1. Casuls
2. I reckon at some point Moons will be difficult to find once you uncover most of them in a level, even with Talkatoo. It works as a cheat for casuls.
watch a few gameplay videos/streams
pirate it if i'm still on the fence.
that's kinda it. if you have a good intuition on what games you like you don't need a whole lot more.
Like everyone here, I pirate the game, and if I like it, I buy it.
It's OBJECTIVELY the best way to determine if you like a game and if it's worth buying.
If you are not doing this, you're a filthy casual.
I actually started a youtube channel for that just yesterday. My first video is still uploading because it's long and my upspeed is shit.
Good answer
Link your channel so I can subscribe, nerd
buttmad goobergator lol
>someone (won't say who) CLAIMED to be from gamergate (allegedly)
>"SEE? NOW YOU HAVE TO AGREE WITH ME AND STAND AGAINST ETHICS IN GAMING JOURNALISM"
I only have my introduction video and a bloodborne video to show some people on /bbg/ something. Hopefully my videos get done uploading today.

Watch gameplay footage like this:

For most games, raw footage is the best way to go imo. Reviewers don't typically cover things I care about.
If I really needed to find an in depth analysis of a game, I guess I'd watch a speedrun.
Assist mode doesnt lead you to the side moons. It only points you towards the main story based moons.
It's a Nintendo Mario game, what could possibly go wrong with it based on what you've seen so far? I mean if you don't like platformers, that's one thing. But if you do and are wondering if this will be good or not, that's what the trailers and gameplay showcases are for.
shitlords are so easy to trigger lmao
metacritic score is -usually- pretty reliable, especially user score. that being said always do the following
>watch the trailer
>watch the gameplay
if its still interest and you're on PC:
>pirate to test it
>buy it.
Nintendo has said in the past that Japs can't handle 3D Mario games. This is for them
siliconera.com
>“As we see it, one reason why a number of people who love 2D Mario do not want to play 3D Mario appears to be because they are afraid to be lost in the 3D world by not knowing the exact directions, while they feel that they can play with 2D Mario with no such issues,” Iwata explained to investors, during a financial results briefing.
I watch DSP, unironically.
I have the same mentality as him, so it's easy to see if a game is littered by bullshit that would just piss me off or it's actually fun.
You can also omit the last part on PC :^)
