Phase 1 is easy, no issue here I assume.

Keep your eyes on the little flames in phase 2, right before jumping they make a sound and orient their bodies depending on whether or not they'll jump toward the left or the right. It should help you not get caught.

For phase 3 pick a gun with precise aiming to not accidentally shoots the fireballs. Play it safe and recognize the signs of the dragon's head turning into a flamethrower, stay at the middle or high when the big flame comes out.

I think I got it with basic attack for phase 1-3 and autoaim for phase 2

If you are having trouble with the dragon, good luck with the robot in island 3

Don't use the auto-aim weapon or the fireballs will split into four undodgeable balls.

Charge shot or Lobber

Are you having difficulty shooting and dodging at the same time?

Use the Lobber for it. It's easily the best weapon for that entire fight (save for the charged shot, which is getting nerfed anyway). The reason it's good is because it does more DPS than the Peashooter, its damage is consolidated into fewer, bigger shots (important for when you have to be moving away from the boss, as you're missing out on less damage over time since you don't have to focus fire a more rapidly-firing weapon), and the large vertical hitboxes of the boss make it very reliable to hit with.

Phase 1:
Just shoot him. Focus on making sure you dodge things. Parry the pink rings if you can, for free super.

Phase 2: Focus on platforming. When any of the flames moves out of sync with the other, get ready to jump to a new platform to avoid it. That's basically all that happens in the entire section.

Phase 3:
Try not to shoot the flames inside bubbles - they do a plus-shaped spread shot if you hit them. Try to stay toward the right side of the screen if you can.

Use EX shots whenever you can, as they're generally better for damage than waiting until you have a full Super.

Charge shot getting nerfed was confirmed on the official site. One of the devs also confirmed that they're looking at probably a 10% damage decrease, while adjusting all of the other weapons by a much smaller amount.

The idea is to get people to use all of the weapons, and to make all of them idea for different scenarios. As it turns out, the charge shot was too powerful in practice, so it was the right choice for almost every phase in the game - so they're nerfing it.

i switched to the charging power shot and beat him the first try aftr that. on the final stage, focus on dodging the projectiles; they only expand is they get hit. the stage 2 fire dudes seems to be all rng. ive had those fucks jump across the screen for no reason.
