Hacked yours yet? It has about 300 MB free space for extra games.

Nope. I have a rPi3.
I'd rather sell it for a higher price than I bought it for instead.
Good to know, I guess. Mine's still sealed in a storage container with the NES Classic. When the SNES Classic goes out of print I'll probably try to sell the pair as a bundle on Ebay for around a thousand.
why respond fag?
You don't get Nintendo's own emulator on that.
>playing games
As a Nintendo fag I really don't get the point of buying this. Most of the stuff on here I could just emulate it or install on the Wii U that I already own because there's not much else that I could buy on it.
>but Starfox 2
Cool a shitty furry game, what else?
Good. I like perfect emulation.
Were your parents understanding when you came out as a faggot?
how you you hack it?
European SNES you have to unzip the files, so it drastically cuts down the number of ROMS that can be stored.
Its a minor really, since theres only about 20 games max id put onto the system, but i always prefer having options as opposed to not.
I bought it for the two controllers mainly.
Wow, user, sure sounds...fun
youtube.com
its not perfect, so im waiting until its a simpler process, im in no rush to add ROMs
There is a beta version of hakchi available.
I think it handles gzip (.gz). Not certain but read about that format being accepted.
ahh nice suggestion user, will have a look now
Why the fuck would i want their emulator when it's worse than others widely and freely available?
This has a better interface and rewind. It just works and looks good. I'll be using it for my favourite games. The rest on my laptop.
I'm hoping hakchi will convert roms automatically to the wii u snes format and gzips them for efficiency.
Anyone knows if this works with patched games?
It has the Nintendo seal of quality on the box, stuck on with Miyamoto's own seminal fluid. That means emulation is 100% perfect, period. You insolence will not be tolerated here.
waiting for the official release
Can you gut the SNES Classic Mini's case and stick the rPi3 inside?
>Sailor Moon RPG
good taste
ofcourse
Don't know if it's been mentioned, but why would anyone buy this when you can just emulate for free. Pretty sure I'm the first person to mention this. And here's a bonus one: has anyone heard of Raspberry Pi? You can load full romsets from many retro systems onto an SD card. Just wanted to pop in here and make sure you guys are all aware of these points. Haven't seen any of them posted yet. To summarize: you can emulate all these games for free. Just a reminder in case anyone was unaware.
Peace.
I own a Raspberry Pi 3 and even have it resting in a NES case (a shitty 3D printed one, but still) and I think people might get these just for the novelty of owning one or a FOMO.
I posted some detail information as to why people might buy this or the mini NES here:
I'm pretty sure that everyone knows this so you're really just trying to make yourself sound smart.
Even buying these consoles for novelty isn't bad for the retail price since you get a sense that great care was taken in designing them. The mini SNES games will even run roms in gzip files. It's like some developer knew that people would turn these into emulator machines and made it easy for them.
Of all the posts to arbitrarily click for your quick reply
>"I'm retarded and pay 80 bucks to Nintendo for less data than the average Happy Meal toy, but because people keep telling me I'm retarded I'm going to make fun of them!"
Don't even buy a Raspberry Pi, that costs actual money, just emulate on PC.
Is it possible to install Linux on this thing?
>No translated Shin Megami Tensei on SNES Classic
Get your shit together Nintendo
>300MB
WOW
Site is not loading for me. I'll take your word.
That's 100+ games
100+ GAMES? HOLY SHIT!
Games are like 1 MB.
>tfw downloading a 48 gb demo on ps4
That interface looks like shit. Can't neckbeards design properly?
Do you work for EA or something?
Well...it is linux based.
And I can play roguelikes on it?
Yeah it's much better for half of it to be pixilated and half of it to be high res, right? At least my setup is clean and doesn't have anywhere near as much shit cluttering the screen as the SNES Mini.
>no translucent background behind white text to make it readable
Why can't these neckbeards get it right? The SNES mini interface is charming and very quick to use.
>paying $80 for backgrounds and shittier emulation
You can't possibly be this pathetic.
>unable to read white text on a dimmed background
LOL
>The SNES mini interface is charming and very quick to use.
>top third of the screen is taken buy by a gray bar containing system option icons in a retro style, empty space, then a bar containing the name of the highlighted game
>middle third of the screen shows the games in enormous boxes with vague icons around them
>bottom third shows horrible shrunken box art, tooltips for every button on the controller, and a big puke green bar
It's a fucking mess
I thought an HD version of the second best console of all time (first being the N64), would garner more commotion.
Guess time's are a changing.
Imagine being this guy and thinking emulation is some sort of big, recent development.
I am making an exquisite selection, mate
There's a difference between crappy PC emulation and a plug-n-play HD native player with multiplayer and all.
I'll give you a (You) for the effort, user.
But can it play PSP games and software? I want to run a PSP running a SNES emulator on my classic.
It's a novelty. I have an actual SNES, hooked up to a CRT, and in addition to my actual games I have a flash cart. Still bought a Classic.
>native player
Nope, it's emulation. Mediocre emulation at that.
>multiplayer
I have more than one controller lol
Is this a joke?
no
those are the games I want in mine
No but I'm playing LttP for the first time on it, coming near the end now at the swamp temple in the dark world. The dungeon design is pretty good overall but is it just me or are all the bosses just shit? Mainly the weird-ass hitboxes and generally annoying obstacles (looking at Mothman and Moldorm)
>tfw even the most underpowered phone can run any PSP game
The PSP was so ahead of its time. What an age we live in.
>no donkey kong country 2
You misunderstand. It's native because the console is designed only to emulate those games. PC's aren't and have to run a myriad of clients to remain on. Which adds to input latency.
2005 was 12 years ago man. Fuck. It was night and day having a PSP and DS.
I knew emulation fans we're annoying but the raspberry pi emulation fan club is a whole new level of annoyance.
the Nintendo classic series is just a cool item for collectors, it doesnt need 10k games across 24 systems or anything like that.
I am not making a selection of the best SNES games
I am making a salection of the games I want to play, which is a mixture of games I didn't have the opportunity back then, and gems I didn't emulate later
ie: skyblazer
Raspberry Pi 3 is a poor man's single board computer. There are better ones out there.
>it can hold a 64gb card
>play DOS games
>run doom
>play a ton of arcade games
>play almost every PSX game
>SNES emulator played like 90% of games almost perfectly if not perfect
>psp isos were simple to use
It really was a fantastic system.
>tfw sold mine and regretted it
Still got my demo disc because I found the box. I hate the fact Sony used and still uses proprietary media cards.
>Games are like 1 MB.
Actually, in general games are about 4-16mbs in size in regards to SNES roms.
Yeah it sucks but at least you can get an micro sd card adapter on eBay for $1. Micro SD cards are cheap.
Vita hacking should be at a psp level already. I want portable PS2 games.
Can it play Sufami Turbo games?
>They actually hack their consoles with more games
How does it feel to be a friendless virgin with too much time on their hands? You're JUST as bad as the raspberry pi emulation faggots.
Literally takes a few minutes to flash if you already have the roms.
>flash
>roms
Can you please speak English? I don't speak virgin.
>falling for the friends meme
I bet you have a girlfriend and aren't a virgin. Faggot.
>it's a novelty
New things that can do the exact same shit, but worse, than things you already own are not a 'novelty'
They can be. Novelty has more than one meaning.
>tfw my GF and I spent a week's vacation together playing all sorts of emulated shit together and doing dirty things, often at the same time
>tfw everybody in all of my college classes are actually impressed when I bring in my laptop and show off my 10,000 games, since they don't even know what emulation is
Who would be impressed when you walk in with 21 games? Faggot.
>that second definition
well fuck me that's retarded
I'm gonna wait for the official hakchi before I fuck up something.
That's nice, is a lot of trouble to set up? I already have a pi, the mini is just because I think it's cute so if it's a lot of work I'm not bothering.
No. You just download hakchi, back up the stock kernel, add your games and box art and flash it over usb.
>international superstar soccer
mah nigga, although deluxe is probably better
Ok, thanks for answering user.
The bottom line is, they're charging you $80 for a weak computer running an imperfect emulator that runs 20 roms downloaded off the internet and 1 rom they found themselves, coming with a stripped down variant of a Wii Classic Controller.
>but I can put more games on it by hacking it!
But if you're going to go that far, you can get a better computer, better controllers, and much more space for around the same price.
...
Is English your second language?
>Imperfect emulator
That's rich, if Nintendo can't run an emulator that's basically perfect by comparison, who can? Even if they half-ass it, their underlying knowledge is vastly superior.
Other than that, yes, you have a point.
Nintendo doesn't even dump their own ROMs.
Does establishing that make my statement less valid?
>Cool a shitty furry game, what else?
Remember the time when you weren't aware of furries and you didn't claim everything with cartoon animals was furry?
Those were good times. I miss those times.
>nintendo can't
They could but that would cost money. They rip roms off the internet after all. They don't need to expend any more than is neccesary. They haven't had an ambitious gaming project in a long time
Just curious
Why do I even bother?
The fans. Nintendo had to make an emulator that could work on a weak computer, so it couldn't be anywhere near as accurate as Snes9x or bsnes, of course.
Yeah I was playing SA2 and I was rouge wiggle her boobs and I was just reminded of Tomb Raider and how that game had better boob physics
yes
thank
>better controllers than the nintendo ones
Nope. The controllers are near-perfect.
Wait what? What's the diff between US and EU here
What if I want a controller I can use with anything else or for anything other than SNES?
