Best part of Sonic Heroes is how the music gets steadily worse as the game goes on.

It's okay. Team Chaotix ranges from decent to atrociously boring. Team Dark ranges from good to "jesus christ when will this level be over it's been 12 minutes." Team Rose is babbymode but fun. Team Sonic gets it just right, harder and longer levels than Rose but not as much of a slog as Dark.

being a little 19 year old faggot, Sonic Heroes is very nostalgic for me and I like it but it really isn't good. The levels are good until the jungle and then they shit the bed, rail canyon might be the worst level in Sonic history. There are a ton of weird, awful design choices that bog the game down.

Rail Canyon is unironically my favorite level.

at best you essentially sit there doing nothing the whole time, at worst (95% of the time) you press the button to switch rails and go flying to your death

I have fun pulling manual rail jumps as demonstrated in the webm.

The worst level is actually Mystic Mansion as Chaotix, and the second worst level is Final Fortress as Dark

I don't know, I guess they thought it was silly how Sonic and Shadow could almost stand horizontally on the rail if you slowed down or turned a direction too much.

Went back and replayed Sonic Heroes again for the first time in years. I completely forgot about this. So is the current Shadow a clone or a robot? In the ending Rouge made it sound like he's a robot but the E123 mentioned clones and which made me confused.

Shadow's the real deal, his spinoff game cleared up that plot thread.

I've noticed this game had a really bad localization. The dialogue sounds very unnatural, like it was sloppily translated.

Been forever since I replayed Shadow, I don't remember shit and I beat it twice.

It had nice music and nice Special Stages. The rest of the game is garbage.

I miss having to balance yourself on rails. I also hated how you would sometimes fly off the rails while trying to switch in that level. It was really annoying.

How strong is Cream to be able to lift Big and Amy like they are nothing and launch them like cannons?

Basically they leave it ambiguous through Heroes and Shadow if he is a robot or not (in some shadow endings he accepts being a robot but in others he rejects it)

In the true ending Shadow is revealed to be real by Eggman who claims he found him after the events of SA2 and healed and cloned him

Bought this when it originally released. Soon as the theme song came on, I knew it was a mistake.

Shadow The Hedgehog was a mistake

It would've been far cooler if Shadow just showed up from time to time after Heroes, and it was never elaborated on if he was a clone robot or the real deal. It would add a bit more mystique to the character, and Shadow surviving the fall to Earth in the first place kind of kills the SA2 ending.

Big is 280kg/616 lb and Amy's weight is unknown but the best guess is that she's slightly lighter than Sonic who is 35kg/77 lb. So I guess Cream can lift roughly 300 kilograms or close to 700 lbs.

It's really nothing compared to Rouge though, Omega alone is 1230kg/2712lb.

I never liked how the characters felt like they had no weight to them no matter the team or the character.

I never figured out holding the fly button with yellow characters until after i 100% the game. I just mashed the button instead

I know people generally hate the robot and gem finding levels of SA2, but I preferred that to having all 3 characters in a clunky team.

Why aren't you using the POWER characters? They literally one-shot most of the enemies and the level-up orbs for both the SPEED and AERIAL/FLYING characters negate this argument anyway.

Not really. It's just one button press to select the intended formation.

I agree that this is tedious. However, you can see the purpose through the developers perspective which intended for the players to build some form of familiarity with the mechanics.

Sonic Heroes is one of the worst games in the series. The physics are awful, the controls feel like ass, the team mechanic adds nothing fun to the formula, the combat in general is tedious, Sonic baddies really shouldn't have health bars, and the story is incredibly cringey.
