Would have been awesome.

Who made these?
...
How does this manage to look so much better than the 3DS games?
holy shit this looks incredible
That's not the N64 drawing distance at all lmao
>/vp/fags would kill for a game like this even now, 20 years later
What a punished fanbase.
F.
Because Pokemon works effortlessly with the N64 aesthetic
also nostalgia
I kinda want this now but it's obvious nintendo would have none of it if someone made a fangame

What's going on in this thread? What am I looking at here?
is this that old ass pokemon fan game from like 2005 or before?
>FApUs
some fake screenshots of a game
...
It's painfully obvious how fake this is Zero effort was put in to mimic N64 graphics.
only a nerd like you would notice or care
they're just mockups, calm yourself
I wish this was an actual game. looks really cool
>high resolution UI
F- see me after class

>FapUs
Anyway, these are neat.

Frankly, I'm surprised noone ever made a 3d Red/Blue hack that looks like the stuff in this thread.
I assume I underestimate the workload, but you'd think there'd be enough interested individuals out there to do it. Ofc it'd be killed by Nintendo, but that's beyond the point.

>hacking a 2d gameboy game into 3d
HOLY SHIT HE'S A WUNDERKIND
Considering how so many faggots love to spew the hasn't aged well meme I think I am glad they never made a N64 Pokemon adventure game. I remember everyone wanting one including myself. I always figured it was the inevitable logical direction for the series as a kid back then. I wonder how well this idea would sell for the Switch. Would definitely sell a lot but would it be a game changer in the industry? I doubt it.
>le ebin 3D pokemon RPG meme
Don't kid yourself, hardly anyone cared about TWO Gamecube rpgs with both battling and capture mechanics and a good plot. Just admit that the charm of pokemon is all about the hand-held adventure.
there's nothing fun about a 3d pokemon adventure when 90% of it takes place in a fucking sand pit
That isn't the issue and you know. Hoenn was all fucking water with nothing but Pellipers and Tentacools.
>Just admit that the charm of pokemon is all about the hand-held adventure.
user above your post here, I agree. However I think these games need limited graphics. The appeal to me gets lost when the graphics got too good. Gen 3 was already pushing it too far. After that I just lost all interest in the series.
Sort of similar to Mega Man series. The NES games graphics are good. The later games not so much. I put the X games in the same category. SNES/PS1 sprite graphics were good. When they tried to make it 3D it went to shit.
>hoenn all water meme
nigga that was the last 20% of the game and just buy repels lmao what else you gonna spend all that fucking money on
fuck if they would have actually released this when i was a kid i would have gone nuts. and this shit still looks better than the modern pokemon 3ds games
>The appeal to me gets lost when the graphics got too good.
you mean shit artstyle, because thats the worst part of most games nowadays, they all go for realism and same shit filters
This is a fucking PC game. Where the hell are the jaggies?
I tried playing XD again recently, and besides it being a boring sand-pit, it is also a complete slog to play through in general. It's just not a good game, and I understand now why its largely forgotten. If it had the team building freedom of an actual Pokemon game it would've been a lot better.
'Hack' being a loose choice of word. I know it'd have to be built from the ground up in an entirely different engine. My original point stands as it was.
I agree with you even though Platinum is my favorite game of the series. The overworld 2.5D element did detract a bit, but the in-battle sprites made up for it.
I don't care what everyone says HG/SS were fucking BORING and shitty specifically because it was brought into the modern era and lost its charm. Both times I tried to do another play-through I dropped it half-way through Kanto.
There is nothing realistic looking about any of the handheld Pokemon games. It is simply that I prefer the sprite graphics to look as simple as possible. I think the sprites were too well done with gen 4. Don't like that overworld either. The third generation I feel is borderline. Ideally my favorite look of Pokemon is the first two gens. That to me is what Pokemon is supposed to "look" like. Not saying I'm right here or anything like that. I mean if they were going to make a better looking mainline Pokemon game then they might as well have went all the way with it rather than half ass it like I've seen with those 3D games. They look so awful. Pretty sure N64 and PS1 games looked better.
0/10
not enough cutscenes
too much freedom
I admit that the battle sprites did look better than the overworld graphics but it was still too well done. I get that the series had to evolve with the times though.
>shitty graphics makes pokemon better
what the fuck logic is this
I wouldn't be surprised if sprites were reintroduced again in some form in future installments. Game Freak knows more than anyone how powerful nostalgia can be for Pokemon, and they certainly have proven that they can't handle 3d so it would be a win-win.
clean artstyle
Just play Pixelmon.
It's the perfect Pokemon experience.
>perfect pokemon experience
>glitchy
>shitty mechanics
>fucking fagcraft
I'll stick to my Drayano hacks, thanks.
It isn't shitty graphics you child. Sprites give a game a look that 3D can never replicate. If you want graphics you should just exclusively play modern PC games anyways. Not all games need state of the art graphics to be good looking.
>Drayano hacks
I can't wait until he gets his hands on USM, oh my god
>glitchy
Like old Pokemon games
>Shitty mechanics
Emulated almost perfectly from the games except for the breeding which was adjusted to real time
>fucking fagcraft
Allows for freedom for players to do anything from their own leagues, towns, battle facilities, etc.
>cant catch every pokemon
I think only gen7 is missing.
Who thought it would be a good idea to build on that beach? There's a fucking ship in the middle. Everything will flood.
Because it looks like shit, the genre Sup Forums loves the most
My dad works at Sega, he said this game sucks
>XD
Get out redittor.
damnit...you heard it here folks. thread over
And my dad showed me this picture from a new sonic game they're working on
wouldn't the safari zone be struggling for how freely you can move in a 3D area? unless they have time limit or increase step limit
Could have a timer that counts down any time you're moving.
ew gross, no wonder why sonicfags are filled with furfags
looks great but they should use the font from the game boy game and screentext format
I just ordered pokemon snap from gamestop's last sale. Too bad my tv can't display anything on the n64 correctly. I'll have to find a crt.
Why can't it display? I have a LCD and it displays everything fine
>Red and Blue
>no mention of Green.
nobody gave a fuck about the third gen tbqhwy
I don't know. I tried playing rogue squadron and the colors were inverted and stuff was all fuzzy and weird.
Red and Green is Japan version
Actually Japan has red, green, blue and yellow
Where 2 play?????
don't you have some rice to eat or something
>3d pokemon
why even bother if it would be turnbased anyway?
I think the visuals in modern pokemon games are actually pretty great, it's just a pity the framerate and resolution are so fucking abysmal.
