Where are my Survival Horror Fans?

Where are my Survival Horror Fans?

What new and up and coming games are you anticipating? What games have you been playing recently?

Been playing dead by daylight, I really enjoyed it cause I felt super tense.
I also enjoyed the evil within but 2bh I can't seem to enjoy any horrror game released on the last 5 years.

I would mention PetScope if it was more a title rather than some overrated meme.

Need more modern Survival Horrors..

What's supposed to be the tone of this game?
Overture was pretty serious and ended on an incredibly chilling note. Then I move onto Black Plague and I'm getting Portal levels of black humor and a cab driver cracking jokes while I'm begin chased by a floppy penis.

I think people play it for the multiplayer aspect rather than the Horror.

I don't know, Micheal Myers is just kinda overdone. The ONLY respectable title I've seen in years is probably Agony. But then again, I haven't got a chance to catch up with Sup Forums in a while.

>trying to leech off FNAF

??

I will say this, FNAF was a good series and It's gameplay/story writing style stood out.

BOO

>tfw Silent Hill will never be good again

Just beat SH3 and holy shit it's fucking good
Now i don't know what to play next

SH4

That game used to scare me until I realized you can kill the floppy-dicks

I don't know man, i love the apartment and the whole HOLE thing but that backtracking just puts me off

Is Dying Light any good? I'm interested more for the parkour mechanics than the zombie shit but that sounds like an added bonus.

playing sh4 now, currently at the station 2nd visit...really losing interest in the game after the hospital

it's the main problem of SH4, it's half baked

It's excellent, can be very tense at night

I didn't really mind going back through the levels again, except the building world, ugh. The second visit to the Apartment world was actually really good in my opinion, it felt like a brand new level with all the changes

It's going to be a bit dull until you reach the building world round 2

Can someone post the silent hill guide? The one detailing why the HD remaster is bad.

Really want to try playing SH1 again, does anyone know how the Mednafen/Beetle support for it is?
I usually use that with PGXP enabled to emu my PSX games, always see other emus recommended for SH1 though, is there a reason for that?

I'm gonna give SH4 a third try this year. I want to like this game but it is really fucking boring. I've never even made it to the escort parts, it's just so dull.

I liked DL a lot, the parkour is really natural, much better than other shit like Mirrors Edge.
The story is pretty neat too, though if you're playing co-op you'll probably just end up mashing through all the cutscenes and shit, it's still pretty fun playing solo though.

Yeah the apartment is actually GOAT
Fuck i don't know, maybe i should replay it
In the other hand i've been meaning to play either Siren 2 or Fatal Frame 2

pretty fun little game
Didnt think a top down 2d pixel game could ever give me a spoop but it did

I really liked SOMA, what other games are like that?

Series/Games I've played:

- Dead Space
- Penumbra
- Amnesia
- SOMA
- Resident Evil
- Fear
- Evil Within
- Condemned
- Outlast
- Lone Survivor?

What I want to play:

- Silent Hill
- Fatal Frame

I'm not really anticipating anything at the moment. Scorn and Agony might be worth a play.

What's with survival-horror games turning into crap during their last chapters? Like Dead Space 3, Condemned 2, Outlast 2, Evil Within do.

Lone survivor is a gem

Why haven't you played any of the SH games? they're pretty easy to get, links to download them are commonly posted here.
Play the first half of SH4 before the level repeats, then play either or both of those games, come back and finish SH4 so the levels seem fresher
