How could you be so wrong, stagehand?
Bachelor > Haruspicus > Devotress
What did you say about my wife?
Pathologic 2 is Pathologic 1 Remake. (((The suits))) had to fuck it up as usual.
Pathologic 2 - Jpg? What is the JPG acronym for? Is it DLC?
Are you actually retarded
Bachelor>Haruspex>>>>>>>>>>>>>Changeling
Does anyone have the compilation of all of the really good bants Bachelor has during Marble Nest?
Who /steppe/ here?
I think OP meant to write JRPG. It's maybe Pathologic the japanese role playing game? I dunno
>Is it DLC?
Yes. The real plague experience in the comfort of your own home!
comfort not guaranteed
Get outta here pleb
youtube.com
Thanks! Installing right now
Do you even have any idea what this game is?
And Pathologic classic HD is much better than marble nest
We /Odonghe/ now
>youtube.com
have the game, too afraid to play because of time limits without quest markers.
What was this guy's problem?
>ywn exlore the town at night for the first time again
Don't worry about it, user. Half the fun is learning how to survive and get everything done (or not), and once you're a couple of days in and have learnt the rhythm of the game it becomes very satisfying.
Play as the Bachelor first - only the first day has a hard time limit (that ends the game upon failure), you have more than enough time to get everything done, and all the main quest goals are relatively straightforward with only a little thinking required on your part.
>What was this guy's problem?
He missed out when all the cool costumes were handed out, so he had to make his own.
>Changeling
Yeah no.
This actor knows what's up
yeah, retarded
this
Changeling is just unfinished
They are all too old, Haruspex could pass though
Superior mother, superior waifu
Reminder that you can preview Theodor Bastard's part of the OST from Amazon.
Awesome, thanks Actor.
The remake has been worth it just for introducing me to Theodor Bastard
Steppe is my waifu
braamp
Is there even pathologic rule34?
>tfw PC too shit to run Marble Nest
I heard that it's actually gonna be a redone story since they kill off the Haruspex
What?
Dunno if this is the same in Classic since I'm not done with it yet but apparently the Bachelor's route will have him find the panacea on the Haruspex's corpse.
I always thought Marble Nest is some kind of alternative reality where everything went wrong
>tfw the Haruspex ending where he fucks off might actually be the canon ending
No it's not the same in Classic. Where did you even get this info? Then again it doesn't really matter since things happen in one playthrough doesn't apply to the whole game. If you are talking about The Marble Nest it's completely detached from the main story.
Done with Bachelor and gonna start Haruspex run soon. Is it true that Changeling got cucked from the remake?
The Guest is the best IPL player character, he is pure.
Good, if true. Shes too supernatural for my taste
Nope.
pathologic.gamepedia.com
Sorry, not directly on his corpse but still,
why was the panacea there?
I had more fun with Marble Nest (Pathologic 2 Demo) than any other game I played in the last few years.
I literally put around 10 hrs in the demo.
Like I said The Marble Nest is not connected with Pathologic 2's storyline. (Of course this is what IPL told us, unless there is a Kojima level ruse going on)
I see, how is the demo? Is it fun?
Also >tfw
youtube.com
According to it is.
For me, I just can't use words fun and Pathologic together. It has some bugs, mechanics-wise it's bare bones but it sets the game's overall tone perfectly. You can get it from
drive.google.com
More partial the music that plays when you enter an infected house. If you stay there long enough you hear screams.
It was descent and in my opinion if they keep the new inventory its going to be way harder as you have to go Deus Ex on items that take up slots.
So no carrying around 20 bullets, a pistol, a rifle, a knife and millions of anti-plague shit.
Hell even money takes up a slot and I think gets bigger if you have more money so you cant just run around with a shit ton of money.
Game also likes to 4th wall break a bit more often with the Executors sometimes talking as if they where the sand-pest and accusing you of failure why waxing on about the utter pointlessness of your actions and existance itself.
best track coming through
>rewarding people who are minimalists i.e. playing the game correctly
Good.
>not putting the names under the pic.
Who is that grumpy as fuck director.
This, I beat the game with only the Revolver and the knife. Always had enough money for the rifle but never ended up buying it since it felt pointless and headshots killed instantly anyway.
Are you ready for Pathologic 2: Early Access with day one Plague Rising DLC?
>Pathologic 2 will have checkpoint based saves.
We're fucked
Bela Tarr
>Bela Tarr
Which one of his movies is the most pathologic-esque one.
Tarr's style does not fit at all, it should be crushing and constrained.
Pathologic's greatness can't be put into a movie
I don't like the new executors look. Whats up with skeletor masks? These are supposed to be for breathing
"Werckmeister harmóniák" (2000), the mysterious and sudden appearance of a whale causes chaos in a small, unremarkable town.
>Bela Tarr
>Not crushing
youtube.com
Yeah well, I'd still watch the hell out of it.
Well I consider it in the dimension of time, his films are timeless and almost static.
Time is a gameplay element in Pathologic and cannot convert that to any other medium. What you can do though is to show feeling of urgency, hopelessness and depression. Which Bela Tarr executes perfectly imo.
Do you have another director in your mind?
I mean, sure, "Impostress" isn't a word in English, but it would actually sound less retarded and 100% correct original transcription of her character.
>still months and months left till Pathologic 2: The Remakening
>will have to start avoiding anything related to the early access like a plague soon
God fucking dammit.
I tried playing Pathologic HD a while ago but couldn't get into it
any advice to make it more palatable?
the movement speed, difficulty of finding things and just getting knocked off in the first combat I got to kind of ruined it
>Movement speed

>Finding things

>Combat
AI is very exploitable, you'll get the hang of it.
Keep in mind that these changes are very detrimental to Pathologic experience in general.
increasing the walking speed is the ultimate way to ruin the whole experience
wait for the remake is your best option.
With the original one you either get mesmerised by the strange city and its ambient and intrigued with the story progression from the get go (i mean, as a Bachelor, you have a task of scientifically defeating the death itself which already should capture your attention and get surprise plot developments further down the road) so much that you would ignore long walks between spots A and B (which will bring you more and more challenges with every new passing in-game day) or you'll immediatelly get turned off with much of walking and not enough of action.
I did skip the game two or three times before actually getting really into it and after successfully finishing the second day the game starts to spinning faster and faster and it was the best gaming experience i had for a long time.
Try to see the Pathologic as a visual novel game with excellent story, with an open world, primitive action mechanics and very elaborate survival economy.
also this.
I think in the original you could use an old FPS exploit of going faster by moving diagonally (like forward+strafe), but iirc they fixed it in classic hd re-release
I can't describe with words how much I love this game. Bachelor playthrough was about fighting the plague, Haruspex and Changeling playthroughs for me were just about the town itself and just learning about it and living in it, the plague was unimportant
>wait for the remake is your best option.
that's pretty much what I decided on, but I just want to play it now, since I do like the games atmosphere and setting etc. not so much the gameplay. I kept dying and had to do the walk to the graveyard on the traintracks over and over because I forgot to save.
think I started doing this in HD, but I wasn't sure if it actually increased the movement speed or if it was my imagination
thanks
They didn't fix it, you can still use that trick. Difference is like 1-2 seconds.
Is there anything more disgusting that playing the remake without playing the Classic HD first?
Also I doubt any remake of this game will ever be able to capture the Classic HD's greatness because the game has what I call the System Shock 2 syndrome which means the old, crappy textures and graphics actually had a great impact on the atmosphere and feel of the game and with better graphics and textures the atmosphere is lost
The Classic HD graphics fit the game perfectly, modern graphics don't fit the game
>movement speed
Take your fucking pills. It takes about 5 minutes to cross the entire map
I think The Marble Nest captured Pathologic's overall atmosphere perfectly if not better.
youtube.com
The soundtrack in it is too "disturbing on purpose" .
Pathologic's ost was disturbing but in a unique way, it was mostly a mixture of hip-hoppish beats with chants but it wasn't your typical horror soundtrack which is the direction that I think Marble Nest and the remake are going
For me the marble nest ost sounded too "obvious" or borderline generic, I just felt like I expected exactly this soundtrack to be in this kind of game. Pathologic's ost was completely unique and something that you cant even describe properly with word.
If you just listen to the main themes of Marble Nest and Classic HD you can instantly see how different the types of soundtrack they have
