Finally got around to selling my old Vita that I haven't touched pretty much at all.
With that and a little of this coming weeks paycheck I'm planning to grab the PSVR and some games. Played around with it at a friends and really enjoyed it. Already know I'm getting Resident Evil but what else is worth it?
Is Valkryie solid? Would love some VR space flight.

Would have gotten a PC headset but I've still got a good bit of upgrading to do on this old clunker before I can start looking at that.

I haven't played Valk in a while so I don't know how big the new update that just dropped is, but it wasn't worth it imo, definetly fun but not worth the price, if its on sale go for it.

I have heard the new Gran Turismo is good.
Tiny Trax is supposedly also really great.

Got it, will keep an eye out for sales then.

Really hoping Ace Combat 7 on VR turns out good.

Buy VR
Get a version with no porn
Does not compute

Theres a new better headset coming, i'd wait

Damn, I didn't even hear about that.
We got a release date?

I've seen the new Gran Turismo in VR and looks AMAZING.
Too bad it's only a 1v1 race against AI.
But the game itself looks absolutely nuts, the graphics are really good

Do we know how much of it is VR?
When it was first announced we thought it was the whole thing, but then I think they said its only some of it.

Oh its only 1v1? Too bad. I thought they would decrease the amount of cars on track but not that much.
I believe it has already been launched?
It isn't a new model. It is an updated SKU. In other words it is almost exactly the same except for some optimizations, built-in headphones and HDR passthrough.
It was a seperate campaign for VR i believe.

Not build in headphones, I think the plug for earphones is just on the headset and not the cable as well as coming with a short wired earphone so it don't dangle as much.

Yeah it's only a 1v1 race.... and to make it worse it's with only a few cars. Not every car is able for VR mode apparently.
Good thing I'm not getting GTS for the VR but the Car porn

Last I heard it was it's own separate campaign from the main story

Oh thats cool.

Right not built-in however it does come with earphones that attach in a special way to the headset.
Honestly i was worried about this game for a while because the track detail seemed off. But they really did some updates to the visuals and now it really looks a ton like real life racing.

WARNING. PSVR is not real VR. It runs at 60hz with frame doubling.

It runs up to 120hz natively. Many games utilize 60hz with frame interpolation that makes it look smooth enough to not have the problems that 60hz VR has.

The Demo is going to be on Fire.
A lot of people has it plugged just because the Visuals.
GTS looks SO GOOD. Literal Car porn.

Literal CAR porn.
I really want to see if they fully implement VR so I have a reason to get the PSVR.

Yeah PSVR is pretty cool, it obviously not up to the standards of the other headsets, but for giving the average family a taste of what VR is its super cool.

I got mine and enjoyed it for a while but then gave it to my 2 nephews, plan to eventually get a Vive, I'm waiting cause they are about to come out with new controllers right?

I see it as a give and take between the headsets. Psvr has some pros like higher refresh rate, lower latency, full RGB pixels and a type of built in foveated pixel pattern in the headset that makes the things you look at sharper due to denser ppi.

Vive however has higher resolution, front facing camera, much better roomscale VR support, and a better more solid tracking solution for Z-axis tracking.

I'm thinking about getting a set just for Thumper. If I didn't know better I would be surprised to not see it mentioned here yet.

Eve is a multiplayer game. Don't expect much of an space adventure.
People say Farpoint is great with the Aim but mediocre otherwise. I find it hard to justify 80 bucks for a mediocre game and a doubtful support of the accessory.

There are a bunch of games that people say good things about, such as Solus Project, Superhot or Robinson, but I haven't got around playing because I find them either overpriced or uninteresting (or Move only).

Aside from porn, the few games I've tried have been really not good enough, except RE VII that looks amazing but I only played a few minutes of the demo because I'm not a fan of horror games.

I'm hoping Skyrim VR to justify purchasing the PS VR in the first place.

You can watch VR porn with the PSVR, I've been doing it last night actually.

I found the demo to be terrible. It's just a noisy, colorful rythm game based on some sort of QTEs. It was extremely boring and pointless to me.

>360vid
Ew

Is cinematic mode as shitty as it looks? Only reason I'd get one.

I said VR, not 360. They are 180 videos with 3d effect.

It's functional, definitely not worth getting a PS VR for. Furthermore, it has a problem where the screen slowly moved to a side and you have to recalibrate it every minute. Regular videos look ok, 3D videos (like those in the cinema) are just ok. Flat games are a bit or miss (for example, Overwatch to me is unplayable because the resolution loss and the fast face that makes you sick with an emulated big screen. On the other hand, I played Breath Of The Wild on it and it looked actually really good since the game is low res to begin with. The emualted big screen doesn't make it lose any detail). Flat games, just like regular flat videos and 3d videos need to be recalibrated because of the screen moving to a side.
