Hell the Blood and Wine expansion alone is a better game than 99% of all that is on the market right now. The amount of content alone and the price/content value is simply unbeatable. Over-hyped? Not by a long shot it's a great game with great value mentioned mostly because of the graphic fidelity that is still somewhat unmatched to date. Of course it gets mentioned a lot. But if you want an example of an actual over-hyped game look at Bloodbore. THAT is the perfect example, it's overblown, mentioned every day in literally every thread even if it's not even remotely related to the topic.
And the console versions are vastly inferior simply due to the fact they all run at retard

To compare at same caliber, if you were to be using a $400 PC for 4K Medium setting visuals on Witcher 3 you would be struggling to even hit 20 FPS at most times. The Pro version runs at 30fps 4k pretty consistently, much more than a current $400 PC could. If the argument was you could get better results with a same price PC, it's easily refuted.
