It's pretty different from mainline Pokemon games. Try building your team around the double battles. Certain shitmons can be useful in XD because they learn better moves than other options. Seel gets Surf and Helping Hand for example.

Helping Hand is usually used for spread moves like Earthquake or Heat Wave in doubles to boost their damage.

Reading Serebii now, Seel comes in at lv 23, so it's about halfway through the game.

I liked Colosseum better. New game in the series when?

I thought XD did better with the pool for pokemon you can pick from, although it did feel like they were budnling too many on you at a time in places

It's better than the first overall. The main character is less cool, and not to spoil or anything, but over half of the shadow pokemon are in the final 'dungeon'.

Colosseum's writing, pacing, balance, art design, soundtrack, etc were all worse. All of GS's games have short dev periods and are incremented on in sequels.

They really dropped the ball with Pokémon OwO

If you're a turno autist like me be sure to catch the mons in that game with the proper nature. They possess moves they can't learn in mainline games. Serene Grace Tri attack Togekiss remains my biggest trolling tool when I battle my friends.
