As per the usual, we will be sharing our poems for critique and admiration. Before i begin, I would like to point put that while writing this particular piece, I had nothing but one person, who shall remain unnamed, on my mind. Without further ado, this is my story;

Natsuki calls me an idiot when we get really close together, but I don't mind! Not at all!
I want to tell Natsuki why I ate the icing the way I did even though I knew beforehand what it would do to my stomach!

There is barely anything to discuss about DDLC though. I can't imagine that the general is going to last long, but if it does it just confirms that the lot of you are degenerates who will cling onto any waifu and create copious amounts of fanfiction and fan games and eat it all up. That's not to say it wasn't a fun ride, but god damn it needs to end already. Same with Katawa Shoujo.

And that is to say all these Cuphead threads are any better? It's a simple platformer with shitty basic mechanics. If it weren't for the music and artstyle it'd be literally nothing. It was just a breathe of fresh air that got lucky.

Do you guys think it was intentional that the disclaimer at the beginning (disturbing content etc) kinda spoils the game's intentions? Because if not, it sure ruined the bait and switch because I was playing spot the foreshadowing for the whole first act. But if it was intentional, it's actually kinda brilliant. The first few hours had me tense as fuck because I was waiting for the twist, but it held of just long enough to make me think I was getting reversed baited and let my guard down before hitting my with Sayori.

Unfortunately this is the case, its a cool concept of a game but it lacks pretty much every other lovey vn element. You start off with that but it quickly goes away

Dumb question: do the poems affect in any specific way on the story? Or do the choices you make more relevant to the game?

What content you're shown. If you write a poem Natsuki likes, you see more Natsuki content. Same for Sayori and Yuri. The paths all ultimately end up in HAPPY THOUGHTS but you can see some different stuff for each girl. If you unlock all CGs by saving and loading before Sayori kills herself, you get a slightly different ending.

Cuphead is getting tons of threads because it's an actually good game with an interesting art style, there are still things to do after finishing the game like speed running, no death runs, just getting the highest rank possible on all stages, and it also has all the shitty memes like Dean Takahashi and shit. DDLC is a 2 hour visual novel that doesn't really delve into the characters much and has pretty much been completely dissected by now.
