25+ year old club, what are you guys playing lately?
/25+/
thinly veiled blog thread
Turning 25 net month. Probably still counts.
These days I've been switching between Dorf and WC3. Some mates convinced me to pick up stellaris again, and gave me a list of mods that make it pretty alright. Dabbling in that atm.
Ruiner. Game is adept at proving I'm shit at fast paced video games.
Xbone
Frotnite, Destiny 2, (haven't played BF1, Gears or Tintanfall for a while)
Prey and Farcry 4.
And I'm 35
>Turning 25 net month. Probably still counts.
It doesn't, plz delete post.
Trying out mods for BL2, really breathes new life into the game. Waiting on the Grim Dawn xpac to come out wednesday, gonna try my hand at either a necro/soldier or necro/shaman, maybe make an inquisitor/demo afterwards.
>25+
Cutoff should be 30. Late 20s isn't any different than early 20s these days, unless you have a wife and kid or something.
Games on fightcade and katamari forever.
Could anyone recommend me colorful games? The vivid colors help me feel a little better about my place in life.
Call of Pripyat with the Complete mod because I've finished Ruiner and I really don't know what to play next.
Sure, if you are into jRPGs try Grandia 3 or Rogue Galaxy.
Emulate Sheep Raider (aka Sheep dog n wolf), excellent ps1 stealth game with cell shaded graphics and looney tunes universe. And its challenging and just overall fun.
Cutoff should be 40. Late 30s isn't any different than early 20s these days, unless you have a wife and kid or something.
I haven't found any joy in playing video games aside from watching CS Go matches. The only past time hobbies I do now is make webms.
26
Nice to get out of work and jump on some factorio or minecraft and add a little here and there. Host a server so friends jump on when they arent dealing with work or life.Weird how careers and friendships dim down in later 20's and its refreshing to catch up every other week.
Playing Grim Dawn. Haven't completed every area despite pumping near 600 hours in the game. Playing HC doesn't help but I can't stop it.
Also playing Darkest Dungeon and Cuphead. Feels good.
not OP but it was around the time I turned 25 that I got much more nitpicky about the games I play
I also got much less tolerant to games wasting your time
can't enjoy open world games
whereas I used to read every book I came across in Morrowind, nowadays I play most games with the subtitles on so I can skip lines as soon as I've read them
I get angry if a game doesn't let me start playing within a 30 seconds of clicking New Game
28 here. I'm at work, mad I forgot to charge my Switch after playing Rabbids, so I left it and read a book instead. Besides Rabbids, I try some Pokken and Golf Story, but I slowly realize maybe I'm growing out of games and buy them more as collectibles. I think I'll just talk to my co-worker and we'll make our own game instead, I have some art and design documents already.
23 playing overwatch
Muh nigga. Ashes of Malmouth looks amazing.
Thats, user. I've played grandia 2. Is 3 anything like so? I remember playing sheep raider on a demo disk. The colors in that game are vibrant. I'm gonna try and find a rom of it rn actually
Mostly enjoying my mini SNES.
Mainly Secret of Mana, Super Mario World and Starfox 2
Nothing lately. I'm 30, busy working, and when I'm not working, I'm busy thinking about work.
I've been learning Japanese for a year, but even that's not keeping me motivated to play anything.
30+ here, just finished getting my S rank on the bosses of Isle 1 and feeling a bit burnt out after that nasty Hilda Berg S rank fight.
I'll probably go back to working on my Rabi-Ribi achievements for variety.
But you are supposed to kill yourself after 25.
Why do the mods keep pruning these threads?
I feel ya, I think it has to do with stressors and that feeling of accomplishing something. I play a game for over an hour and have to re-evaluate what i just did and how productive it was towards my day, but when i was in my teens I really didnt care at all what i accomplished.
>Late 20s isn't any different than early 20s these days,
You know nothing, mate.
I'm 29, and the current ~20yos seem and sound like total kids to me nowadays.
They feel intimidated by threads they cannot participate in.
Witcher 3, FFIX, Eternal, your Mom
34, rimworld, xcom 2 and DOs2.
Waiting for grim dawn expansion and forever waiting for M&B bannerlord; think i'll die before it comes out at this rate.
30 here. Currently playing destiny 2, will play MGS5 because psn game of the month and planning to pick up talks a kiwami soon. Also, very hyped for Battlefront 2
Anyone else been here too long? I still cant believe ive spent over 9 years on this site.
why not?
Games this year:
Hollow Knight
Divinity Original Sin 2
SteamWorld Dig 2
Older games:
Starcraft: Brood War
Renegade X (a remake of C&C Renegade with some changes)
Master of Orion 2
PSO2, Divinity OS 2 and debating on buying A Hat In Time, also MH:G
I'm 28. Seems like GD is a 25+ game. What is your current build? I'm playing a gunslinger sorcerer and thinking about switching to 2H ranged build with brimstone set.
>25
>middle aged
I know it feels like that but cmon man, that's not even 1/3rd even if you die 10 years earlier than average lifespan
not opening that.
>Witcher
OP said 25+, dude.
Oh nvm i'm responding to bait.
The waiting game.
One thing I really want is pretty much sure to happen, but I'll only know in 2-3 months and there's still a miniscule chance of failure that keeps me up at night.
27, Golf Story, Destiny 2 and Divinity OS 2. In between kids and work.
Hob, Steamworld Dig 2, Cuphead, Battle Chasers Nightwar.
Ruiner soon, probably.
Dishonored 2 that I have yet to finish. Styx Shards of Darkness after it.
is 25 considered old yet? 23 now, when is the cutoff for being officially not "young" anymore? fucking terrifying.
Need to pay to see the page. Archive?
This is wrong. 25 is very different to 20 if you're not a degenerate.
Who here prefers short, but daily gaming sessions to long, weekend ones?
Today is my 27th Birthday. I will be played Alice: Madness Returns and Mass Effect Andromeda
28
Been playing a lot of PUBG with friends once we're all off work and I've been enjoying MvC:I a lot even though it gets me too salty at times.
Want to grab a switch, but I feel like I should wait until an upgraded version comes out.
28 here. I have a shit hip starting, a shit knee on the other side, and carpal tunnel in my right wrist. You know you're getting old when you wake up and hurt for no good reason.
literally what
20 is "young adult", 30 is officially "adult" and closer to 40 is "burnt-out".
30.
Arms and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy. The first Ninja Storm's story mode is kinda lame compared to later entries, yet it's really addictive. You did get all the support Ninjutsu, right user?
Happy birthday. Alice is a good choice. The original game is very good too if you're into older (at this point) games.
Sheep Raider is also on PC but models have black outlines and kinda ruin the aesthetic so upscaled ps1 emulation is far better.
Grandia 3 is disliked by Sup Forums but I personally love it. Grandia 2 was great but a bit too linear and visuals were murky and washed out. Grandia 3 is super vibrant, aesthetic visuals, colorful vivid greens, there is variety to dungeons and environments. Story takes a bit of a nose dive near the end but that's said for any game in the genre. No random encounters, smooth, fast combat system, awesome OST, its truly one of the better games in the genre as far as I am concerned.
I can't even remember the last time I had a long gaming session.
Trying to make an aether ray pure arcanist build work because i really really like lasers.
I's not very good honestly but it's fun.
Being obese is a good reason.
Sup Forums hates witcher
Thank you, I actually still have my original CD of AM Alice.
I like a solid 2 hour stretch. It's long enough to get immersed but short enough that I don't really risk becoming a sedentary turd.
I recently got bored of constantly playing Doom wads, so i picked up Saints Row 4, and it is pretty damn fun. It has everything i want, short bite size missions, superpowers, wacky sense of humour... it's just fun, not sure how to put it. I'm 27 by the way.
I am also getting into Psychonauts, but i have only played like 2 hours of it so far, i just don't have the time.
I don't really play games anymore.
Well I have trouble with my sorc too. Lvl 72 and only 6800 HP. I have 18000 DPS though but I know that people can make build go way over 50000 DPS.
How sad
I'm not obese though. It's probably because my teenage hobbies were BMX, skateboarding and ATV riding. I've had a lot of wrecks.
I have mine too. Extremely under rated game.
The first time a night of drinking results in an actual hangover is the day you are officially old. When you start thinking things like "I have to make sure I get enough sleep tonight, I don't want to be tired tomorrow" you are officially old. When you have a big meal and feel a little sleepy afterwards you are officially old. Basically, when you have to start worrying about the way your body will react to abuse you are old.
Everybody’s golf, I don’t even try to pretend to be hardcore anymore
That doesn't help. But carpal tunnel syndrome should be treated with ibuprofen and wrist splint for the night.
25 and going to off myself soon but before that I need recommendations.
Just found a dusty old PS2 slim in a box my neighbour left me. What are the most obscure good gems on that console?
I picked up Ecco Defender of the Future, and SOS Final Escape (Disaster Report).
Oh and Shadow of Rome is coming in the mail soon.
Thanks in advance have a nice day.
25 and all I have been consistently playing for years is Bemani and Monster Hunter.
>tfw aging like shit
>tfw have some wrinkles under my eyes
Methodically doing Killing Floor 2 achievements
Prey and Mankind Divided dlcs in backlog
30
>All of these things began when I was 16.
Shit.
Staring at the void of my desktop PC contemplating how I slowly lost all of my 8+ year online friends in the past year due to normie shit getting to them and tried grooming a few new couple 18 year olds to do it all again but now I'm so bad at games I can't keep up with them and my brain is too fried to sit up from this chair
It's not acting up right now. I've been going light on the guitar playing.
>25+
so why are you here
Played some hollow knight, cuphead and a hat in time
3 great indie games.
Also played some battlefront 2 and I got sick of it within an hour.
Divinity 2
sank 70 hours into it before burning out but I didn't finish it yet.
>magically losing interest in things because expectations and age
nah
Grandia 3 is kind of horrible imo but whatever
Webm would've been better if it was Rom instead
Been trying out a 2h vit/chaos occultist/shaman build, focusing on totems and converting damage to health. Maybe not the best build but I have fun with it.
I'm going into the xpac mostly blind, wanna learn all the new stuff organically as much as I can. I'm hoping I can recreate my old unholy DK from WoW in the game, big heavy armor, 2her, poison damage and minion focused. I figure I can make it work, games got a lot of flexibility as to what you can do, and the changes to respeccing will help that even more.
dont group us glorious mid-late 80s kids with you faggy early-mid 90s kids
It's a very bad game that got meme'd into being le 10/10 GOTY.
Objectively though it's written like babby's first adult and edgy novela (omg the adventures of raspy voice badass sex god uncensored!!), the combat is utter and complete shit and it's just plain boring and bloated.
More power to you if you enjoy it though, i wish i could.
Turning 31 soon. Been playing Crossout alot lately. Its grindy as fuck, but I like building things I can actually use in vidya.
31
I'm playing Cuphead while poking FFXIV waiting for the server to come up to buy my house
Fuck I feel sad when I read posts like this. Before you decide to kill yourself, please give me the gift of you listening to this first:
>spend more time deciding what to play than actually playing it
sc2
for all the memeing about daed geanm i was surprised at how fast you get games even in the middle of the week at like 3 in the morning.
...
DAYUUUUMMMM DISASTER REPORT
i'm playing metroid samus returns, some cuphead, sonic adventure, KSP and NiGHTS journey of dreams
Don't be sad for me user, I tried everything couldn't turn the tables. I have the strong believe that some human aren't fit to live. Just like some animals are left to die behind the others.
It may sound extremely childish and edgy, but trust me when I say I may be the most down to earth person browsing this board right now.
Thanks for the video man, any ps2 game recomendation tho?
Completely overwhelmed by the amount of unfished games I have. Been playing just a little bit of Cities:Skylines, Batman: Enemy Within, Danganronpa V3, Y's VIII, MVC:I, Tekken 7. Can't wait for my Switch to get here so I can start playing that imported Monster Hunter.
I feel you dog, time to start looking into those single player games and casual as shit MMOs
Ever played Armored Core? Theres a ton of them to go through, and they are all good.
>tfw Disaster 2 (Raw Danger) is expensive as fuck where I live
Welp I got to finish the first one first
I went full autismo and just repeated act 1 with different builds for 80 hours until i found one i like then stopped playing 1 hour into act 2.
Can't bring myself back to play it again for some reason.
Played the PS3 ones and had real fun with them, thanks I'm going to check them out.
