She's kind of shit as a lawyer in all the cases she's led so far, and they tried too hard to make the player sympathize with her and her tragic backstory. I think she's a decent enough character though, she just needs to become a better lawyer overall.

Better and consistent frame rate. Spirit of Justice felt really slow at times, whenever it dipped. Better presentation in general, and maybe more voice acting.

I didnt enjoy the mood matrix since it was almost Little Thief tier in gimmicks. Athena shouldnt have been introduced. It should have worked out Apollo and Phoneix first. Athena's entire traumatic backstory has already been been solved in a single game and no antagonist to follow her in her next games.

Also Klavier is boring.

Then compate Athena to the rest of legal aged lawyers we have. Francizka who has hell of a ton of presence. Then to the cougar of a defense we already played as. Mia "Stretching Shrine Maidens" Fey. A 12/10 of a woman and 20/10 of a defense attorney. Athena "Psychology is a real Science I swear" Cykes just couldn't compete.

Nah. Her backstory isn't a rehash, she's useful in investigations(and not just Little Thief) and rebuttals, and while she does mention her being a Great Thief/wanting to steal things a lot, she does also talk about a lot of other stuff, and was the 'energetic girl' before Athena girl.

I wish AA's morality weren't so black and white. Killer's are almost always the epitome of evil framing peoplr left and right. Ignoring that there's always one way to solve the mystery and the game just railroads you along.
You have the worst and dumbest police force you have arresting you client. I understand that prosecutors have pride and want to save face but they must always care more about convicting your client instead of using evidence and indicting people based of that.

I kind of want play a game where you are on the prosecution's side. The first part is an underpaid detective who hates her work but is willing to do her duty because even in her jaded lifre she still somehow stupidly believes in justice. After the arrest you play as an prosecutor whose job is to make a case against a very affable suspect. No matter how you feel bad for the suspect the conclusion from the evidence is the sickly wife poisoned her husband after taking too many beatings.

Then Phoenix Wright takes her case.

After that, however, it's the trilogy, then the two Edgeworth games, then Apollo, then Dual Destinies, then SoJ, then never ever play the Layton crossover ever and don't even think about it.

I'm not really an expert on that kind of thing, sorry. You can always ask the general. All I know is that once in a blue moon there's a really fun case that's an absolute gem and super fun to play. Of course I won't deny there's far more shitty cases than good ones.

DGS2 conclusively wraps up plot elements introduced in the first game, and the game pulls off dozens of twists and reveals like Ghost Trick and manages to nail the resolution to each of them.

It feels less like a sequel and more like DGS1 part 2.
