>All DLC costs as much or more than the base game
All DLC costs as much or more than the base game
trains :(
>All DLC costs less if you buy it together and it's not even that expensive
>DLC costs something
>game is multiplayer orientated
>have to buy the new DLC to play with other people
>All DLC costs literally 5x more than the base game
>All the DLC together nets you a big saving
>one or two of the DLC items are useless shit like skin packs
>what is One Way Heroics Plus
>DLC can already be recreated via a cocktail of community made mods
>DLC is free
>so is the game
>dlc doesn't exist
>microtransactions
>Game is $60, Season pass is $50 and the game still has microtransactions
>Game releases a “complete edittion” for less than half price less than a year later
>all DLC from the Season Pass gets released
>DLC still continues to come out
>Game has 2 season passes
This is why i retro game. Havent played a game more recent than 2013. Fuck the industry, anyone who voluntarily wants to get kiked is welcone. Paying to play a game online, literally gambling simulators, paying for costumes or characters, sequel has new features deliberately held back from first game. Abd the worst part is thd people your giving money to fucking hate you.
Only a moron would accept that.
>Final boss/ending is dlc
>dlc is no longer available for purchase.
pay-per-day/week on the horizon
>cosmetic item costs more than the base game
Name 1 game that does this
>DLC levels are bite sized, cost less than $5 and add to the main story
cs go
>Season pass is $40+
>Only 1 bite sized level and the rest are just shitty skins and emotes
I'm fine with it as long as it's worth it.
I hope Paradox fucking rots into obscurity some day
Blue Reflection
...
Is this the fate for every game tainted with the brand of season pass?
What if the original game is 12 hours long and costs $60, and then three DLC pieces are released which each provide a new and unique story that are 5 hours long each and cos $20?
Dead or alive 5 if you bought all the dlc it's around 1,234 bucks
>Those ridiculous prices for a costume pack containg couple of costumes in the pack
What were they thinking?
What is Evolve
Still makes me laugh. Hunting SEASON pass. By the time the second SEASON came out the 10 or so players left flipped their shit and left.
Gal*Gun Double Peace has a $100 DLC.
...
what if the DLC has twice as much content as the original game? You fuckers are impossible to please. At it's core DLC is more of the game you like. All the costumes and extra shit is just added on to that idea; it's not inherently bad
>Game has 2 season passes
As if it wasnt bad enough people let shit like season passes fly to begin with.
>what if the DLC has twice as much content as the original game?
Give 5 examples.
Dawn of War: Soulstorm
>dlc costs 250+% of the base game
>there is ANY paid dlc within the first 6 months of a game's release
Deliberately cut content can go fuck itself and so can the dipshits who reward kikery by buying it.
>buy a GOTY edition of a game
>it doesn't include all DLCs anyway
>Just buy the dlc you want, you're not supposed to own them all :^)
Have you been living under a rock for the last 6 years?
>Vanilla game is on sale for like $20
>Premium/Gold edition is still $100+
>a game gets a major update with lots of new content
>its price goes up
I never understood this. Top it off the "gold" edition comes with useless shit and a mandatory season pass.
Why would anyone buy a pair of digital shoes that nobody will see?!
>Indie games signs with a publisher
>Its price goes up
>Game has nothing you can unlock
>lol dude why are you so mad about the dlc it's all cosmetic
Trust fund babies with no concept of the value of money.
>game releases, $60 physical and $60 digital, sometimes digital is actually MORE expensive because lmao dude fuck logic right?
>6 months later, $20 physical and $60 digital
>five years later, $5 bin physical and $60 digital
Digital distribution was supposed to be the magic wonderland revolution that cut publisher costs and offer a lower price to the consumer while still making more profit than ever, but instead a bunch of colossal jews figured they'd keep the same price to the consumer and a whole lot of even more colossal retards ate that shit up anyway so here we are. The average gamer absolutely deserves every bit of bullshit that they get (digital prices, dlc abuse, micro/macrotransactions, gambling microtransactions, etc) in this current market, it just pisses me off that there isn't a different market I can get the games I want from that isn't infested with this crap nor is there a single person acting as a Font of Fuckery that I could just murder and save the market from itself.
>Game releases shitty weird DLC content
>No fucking way I'm buying that
>Bored with the game
>"user you can't be bored if you haven't cleared shitty weird DLC"
name the game
DLC THE GAME
>old DS Pokemon game is still full retail price
>some are even more expensive than they were
Fire Emblem Fates is what made me want to hack my 3DS.
>episodic releases
>DLC no longer available
>Can never play the complete game
>Dual release of a game with two versions of itself
>They are literally the same exact game except with a few skin/cosmetic differences
>One costs more than the other
Of which game do you speak?
why do people dislike DLC when its clear the DLC wasn't made during main development?
>Buy a pre-owned game
>Previous owner left the dlc codes in the case untouched
They're usually just shitty skins and shit but it's still a nice feel
If the DLC is an expansion pack, then its understandable if it wasn't made in development in the first place.
Devs nowadays announce DLC during development which is what everyone bitches about.
>Game costs more digitally than physically
>Game costs more physically than digitally
