Should I play metro with eng dub or russian dub ?

Should I play metro with eng dub or russian dub ?

english is fun, russian is the best way to play though.

Best advice I have is to play on a non-hardcore mode first because it doesn't even tell you the fucking controls which is stupid, but it does it.
Ignore anyone saying
>HURRARHURURRR REDUX IS SHITT
because it's absolutely fine.

Try with Russian, but it's not for everyone. I kept switching dubs for the entire game

Russian.
And play the ORIGINAL 2033, not the fucked up, extra-consolized Redux versions.

>doesn't tell controls
Options menu exist, and the controls are practically the basic WASD+M they've been for two decades.

>because it's absolutely fine.
it is not. Get lost.

I got into the series with the Redux collection, so why do people think that the orginials were better?

Doesn't vanilla Last Night not even include the clipboard for taking inventory, something they only added with the Redux version?

Don't get redux
Russian is best but English is fine too if you prefer it

>Redux
>absolutely fine.
Downgraded graphics, removed recoil, tons of traps removed, enemy AI made even more idiotic, etc, is ""fine"" ?

the only
O
N
L
Y
improvements were some decent mutant models and the ameboids were nerfed

...

Whats WASD+M, is that your medication lol

isn't it your naptime, kid?

play the original game

English for laughs. Russian for atmosphere. If first time playing go with russian

>that horrible screen space reflection

This shit is literally so bad why the fuck are games still using it

fucking half life 2 had perfect reflections in 2004

Yes, absolutely fine because unless he's autistic enough to go out of his way searching for the original version he'll never know the differences, and the new game plays better, despite your whinging about "worse ai" it's fine and just as retarded as vanilla.

he'll miss out on all sorts of minor controls like swapping gas mask cartridges, and using his compass and lighter and a billion other things. No reason to play on hardcore first unless you like sitting and memorizing all the controls before they're necessary/can even be used.

>Play a level in Russian
>Enjoy it
>Play it in English again
The reason why I had to do that was because their subtitle system is flawed. They only subtitle the most important conversations, so you lose out on a lot of the background noise, unfortunately, especially when it's all playing at the same time.

Russian is definitely the way to go, though. Max immersion.

Played through it in German, English, Russian and Ukrainian, Rus dub is the way to go but if you want to listen to some conversations i'd recommend playing it in english first.

>unless he's autistic enough to go out of his way searching for the original version he'll never know the difference
What's so hard about searching...
>Steam store only has Redux now
What the fuck is this shit??

>he'll never know the differences
Yeah, this excuse was used for the god-awful SH "HD" Collection as well, and it's still not accessible.

>plays better
playing even MORE like modern CoWadooteh ain't my idea of ""better"".

>even MORE like cod
it never played like cod, and still doesn't. You're just spewing memes, faggot.

>optional ""STEALTH"" sections make it "less CoD"

How would I go about finding the original? What exactly makes it better than Redux besides some graphics changes?

КУPЛЫК КУPЛЫК КУPЛЫК КУPЛЫК

English first playthrough because townsfolk conversations are not subtitled so you won't understand what they are saying in Russian.

Man I miss that old watch from the original 2033. Wish LL, Redux 2033 and LL, and upcoming Exodus gave you an option to ise the old 2033 watch instead of the watch shown in

tpb

for me

metro 2 is literally better in every way on redux

2033 is better original because it keeps more in tone with the original game. it's very hard to explain because it's an incredibly atmospheric game anyway...

small things like having night vision goggles restrict your vision, not being able to mod weapons, being able to check your ammo on hardcore ranger difficuty. I think the clunkiness of some of the menus really added to the game in a weird way.

also Metro 2033 was the first game that I ever played where it was DARK. like, pitch black fucking DARK. in LL and redux you get this gay ass light that shines on the walls near you, and there's a million glowing mushrooms everywhere anyway

It's a massive graphical difference. The original was designed to run at 720p at 30 fps (with drops) on xbox 360, and the redux was meant to do 1080p/60 on ps4, so they had to downgrade the fuck out of it. There's practically lighting left, everything is just smeared with static bullshit. Think Doom 3 (real game) vs BFG edition - ruins the entire point of the game.

Get pirated 2033 if needed

practically *no* lighting left

Also the gunplay is better in the original, and the AI is less obnoxiously stupid (even if it cheats more)

It still gives you the old watch on ranger modes
