Inti creates designed the characters but that art was done by someone else now that they're gone. Hopefully any new designs will be better. That said, the little bat in the right does remind me of the details Kojima used to put in her art.

Why do people call this porn bloodstained? It's a "metroidvania", sure, but there are already a bunch of those, like Unholy Sanctuary and Nightmare Sphere. This looks like a porn parody of the original Castlevania games, not Bloodstained. The girl looks more like a Belmont than whoever the Bloodstained OC is.

If you go back through his blog, the thing was pitched just after Bloodstained got funded. He also mentions how the design "was influenced by a recent popular project" or something like that.
It didn't start taking on more of its own identity until after Dark Souls 3 released and he switched game engines.
