Which one?
Which one?
Xbox fits my hands better.
you know which one
Playstation. Xbox is too clunky.
Xbox for ergonomics, Playstation for literally everything else.
stop leaving out nintendo you faggots!
Xbone with the rubber grips on the back is the best controller I've ever owned. ds4 just feels weird to me, probably because it was designed for itty bitty manlet asian hands.
Nintendo controllers are way better than PlayStation ones, playstation is only included because of its legions of braindead fans
the one but in choose your own colour
Xbone has better sticks, triggers, and a better battery life
DS4 has better face buttons, shoulder buttons, and a better d-pad
both as long as i have something to play with.it doesn't really fucking matter which i'm using.
DS4 is probably the most comfy controller of all time.
Joy-con
xbone dpad sucks and is basically unusable for fighting games.
ps4 is fine but the giant button in the middle is 100% unneeded and the share/options buttons are too close to the dpad and face buttons.
this one *unzips dick*
neither
I never liked the stick placement on Sony controllers. Ended up going back to the 360 controller from the ds4 for my pc. I'd probably prefer xbone controller if I were to try it.
I prefer the DS4. Don't own an Xbone or a PS4.
Switch Pro Controller is probably the best controller I've ever used and the day someone makes good drivers for it for PC is going to be great.
I have stick drift when I use this. Is it because of the controller or my Mayflash adapter?
Switch Pro controller and Xbox are pretty much the best.
Objectively.
Own both. Have a PS4 Pro, and use the XBoner for my PC, and it feels much more comfortable.
The one where the fucking control sticks don't fall apart.
Both, kinda.
Wii U Pro controllers often have off-center sticks but the Wii U itself has a large deadzone. Much larger than the Mayflash adapter anyway.
I've emailed them asking if they could have a separate driver or configuration tool for larger deadzones and I never heard back.
Is there any way to fix it? Windows's calibration only seems to work for DirectInput games
Xbone, it's not really much of a competition.
Xbone has better ergonomics, battery life, build quality, and native PC support. What does the DS4 have over it?
Sony controllers have always been bad due to have synmetrical sticks. Your thumbs bump into each other and all their controllers have always felt plastic and cheap.
They don't understand ergonomics and would rather stick with similar designs to the previous generations' controllers.
games to play
I thought we were talking about controllers? Plus the PS4 still only has one game worth owning.
thats 1 more game than 2 gens of xbox
Okay, but this thread is about controllers. If you want to have a gay console war thread go make one in a different thread.
>war
there is no war
PlayStation controller is for manlets. I'm 6'4 it just doesn't feel right for me,. Which sucks cause I like the PS4 but sorry I don't have baby hands.
The DS4 is bigger so I don't know what you're talking about
you enjoy stroking your fake epeen faggot?
>battery life
>build quality
Pc/xbone gamer here, kill yourself.
Manlet detected
>fake
Baby hands faggot detected, don't forget your shoe lifts.
The Xbone controller is 6 x 4 x 1.7 and the dualshock 4 is 6.2 x 2 x 3.5. They're both basically the same width, the dualshock 4 edges out a little, and the DS4 is deeper, but the xbox controller is taller and has more space for the interface and button/stick layout. It's also heavier. The DS4 has a noticeably more cramped interface. (All sony controllers are, kind of). A big difference is the edged of the controllers, especially the grips. Unlike on the DS4 the grips push out more on the xbone controller which is why people with bigger hands have a more comfortable time using it over a DS4.
The Xbone controller absolutely has better battery life and build quality. Are you fucking high or something? Anyone who goes out of their way to defend the DS4 reveals themselves to be an absolute brianlet. You really can't defend that shit when you realize that Sony fucked up and the LED light bar somehow drains a lot of battery power.
Where in my post did I defend the DS4 you fucking idiot?I was implying that the xbone controller is garbage, cheap.chinese,garbage.
What part of "better" do you not underatand?
What part of "cheap plastic garbage" do you not understand?
It's still better than the DS4, which was the entire part of my post.
The triggers and bumpers (L1/L2) are better on Playstation, but that's about it. The gyro is nice for FPS as well.
Xbox has better analog sticks and battery life by a mile. It also feels more solid.
I'd prefer the PS4 controller if it wasn't for that awful touch pad. Not only does it suck down the batteries, but it's worthless in the two or three games that actually use it. And of course the media player uses it, so every time my hand goes near the controller, it thinks I'm trying to seek forward. It sucks.
I prefer the DS4.
I've always liked dualshock better than xbox and the gamecube styled asymmetrical controller. Nothing to do with "wahhh too small" or big or whatever, just a matter of preference. I hate the touchpad on the ds4, it goes 99% unused in every single game, except the two buttons it has built in which just replaced select. I actually don't mind the light bar. It's a shame the battery life is short, though.
Xbox controller is still my go to for emulating, generally, and playing games with controllers on PC, like dark souls.
X360CE is your best bet. Or xpadder if you're using the controller for keyboard inputs. Both have adjustable deadzones you can use IIRC.
How are the triggers better on the DualShock?
>i don't mind the light bar
Lmao, you should. If there was no light bar the DS4 would probably have two hours of extra battery life..
Obviously that part sucks but really I'm almost never not plugged in with it. Bought a 40ft cable and bam, good to go wherever. I like the light bar for the functionality it has, it's neat to see it change color and stuff.
Yet the DS4 (despite being a piece of junk) still looks more of a premium product compared to that fisher price toy.
Nah man even as a Nintendo fanboy I recognize this is shit.
Why does Nintendo insist on using crappy cheap-feeling glossy materials?
Xbox one controller is best
The light bar takes almost nothing, about as much power as the sync lights on the Xbox and Switch controllers. It's the fucking touch pad that's always on despite no games using it that eats the battery.
The flat part on the top of the Xbox triggers aren't wide enough, the inside angles push against my finger when I press them, and the bumpers are way too far forward .
Xbone even its brittle.
It's actually not a joke, sony must have fucked up somewhere because dimming the light bar actually increases battery life. The dimmest setting will save almost 1.5 hours of bettery life in comparison to the max brightness. Look it up, even that sonyger shill Giuseppe Nelva admitted to it on Dualshockers.
This finger spread the Xbone controller makes you do unless you press the bumper with the back of your middle knuckle is literally the only problem.
I rest my finger on the triggers with my Xbone controller. Then, slightly adjusting my fingers is enough to get a bumper button press. It's incredibly easy.
Still shittier than PS4. PS4's ergonomics are just better in general outside of the stick placement.
Xbox
>short stubby handles and cramped buttons are better
having fingers actually on the controller is better. Your hands naturally conform to the xbone's handles better unless you have smaller hands since the longer handles account for wider palms..
Alright, can we end this now?
They are both great. The one minor downside to the PS4 controller is it's too easy to accidentally press the trigger buttons particularly when setting the controller down but the only situation this is annoying in is using Netflix or something similar.
I like the feel of the DS4 better, but it feels fragile.
Who?
>An Xbox controller with the face buttons reversed
How did MS not sue them over this?
>Your thumbs bump into each other
How the fuck can this win? The d-pad is complete shit.
He's one of those retards that tries to press L3/R3 with his fucking knuckle.
I've gotta say that this Controller is pretty amazing.
No juSt being real. Sorry bro
Xb1 and it's not even close
Pretty much this.
>How did MS not sue them over this?
I hope you're just pretending and not being completely retarded.
>The d-pad is complete shit.
I've heard it's just a few defective models. Mine works perfectly.
ds4.
This is weird but for me, i used to love the xbox controller when i was young, and now it's the contrary : The xbox controller "hurts" my hands. It's not natural.
I've reached the conclusion that MS controllers are made for Western males, which is why they are durable. PS controllers are made for Japanese girl hands so cannot withstand the pressure placed on them by strong American hands.
As a die-hard Xbox controller-guy, when I bought the PS4 Pro last Christmas I found the DS4 surprisingly comfy. Leagues above the DS3.
With that being said, I still prefer an Xbox controller. If it wasn't for the dpad, the Xbone controller would be the best controller ever made, hands down. That shitty dpad will always be its Achilles heel.
No wonder the sissy weebs of Sup Forums prefer it then
>since the longer handles account for wider palms
m8, are you baiting? Have you ever even held both controllers? The handles on DS4 are longer than Xbone. My pinky nearly slips off the bottom of the Xbox handle, but on PS4 I can grip my entire pinky around it.
It's pretty awkward to hold a Xbone controller in 1 hand but PS4 fits firmly in one hand.
>xbox fits better with bigger hands
what's with this meme? there's more space to wrap long fingers between the DS4 handles/grips. and short and stubby? you just described the xbone controller handles.
>xbone battery life
>its still using AA battery in 2017
>he wants his controller to die faster without charging as opposed to rechargeable batteries that don't cost $60.
Might as well just buy a wired controller, user.
Steam Controller / Updated Xbox One Controller mustard reporting in. All you need is a 6 pack of rechargable batteries and youre good. I had the Dualshock 4 for a while but its just so small and when playing racing games for example I always slightly pressed in the L2 button which is awful as you might guessed. Also the battery life is terrible. And its 20 bucks more expensive brand new then a Xbox One controller, what a joke.
PlayStation is more comfortable.
I don't like the grip at the back of The DS4 though
Forgot to mention the meme bar on the DS4. God what a piece of shit gamepad, almost as bad as the DS3.
Xbox the DS4 thumbstick hurt my thumbs
>bump into each other
hello grandpa.
battery life is worse on xbox controller. I own and use both
DS4 has better ergonomics and buttons. XBOX is too heavy. Although DS4 is also pretty big and heavy.
Xbox One's controller requires Windows 10 to do anything besides being a wired-only Xbox controller with basic functionality.
i use both depending on the game
>Having girl hands
Manlet
I have pretty small hands, and I can not use PS4 controllers, they feel like they're made for tiny impoverished children
360 controllers are the best
I hear Steam's 3rd party controller feature supports that.
The DS4 was not designed, no Dualshock controller was. They just took the PSX controller and slapped two sticks on it, with no regard for ergonomics and just kept going with it.
If you like the Dual Shock 4 Hour Battery Life you just have stockholm syndrome from Sony's inability to design their own controllers.
...
I have a DS4 for games that need a functional dpad and a x360 for everything else.
I'm playing exclusively on PC though.
