Upgrading your character
buying into the hype culture "its a mastapiece!"
really your shitt bossrush with average gameplay and good art is a mastapiece? You think in 15 years people will still talk about it as people talk today about FF7 or baldurs gate or unreal tournament or quake? a mastapiece really?
yourself
Pepe the clown or those two frogy fucks
>baldurs gate or unreal tournament or quake
Is your point supposed to be that literally no one talks about these games?
The clown for sure, I’d also throw the pirate in there too.
Isle 1 - Frogs
Isle 2 - Dragon
Isle 3 - Robot
Is this correct?
I'd say flower in stage 1
Honestly, none of the bosses are really that hard. Even the dragon is really easy once you get the hang of dodging the flamethrower in the final phase. I'd say Expert mode is the closest thing there is to a casual filter.
I've heard most casuals giving up on Bon Bon, so I'd say her. Flower has low health and can be lucked out on.
Nah people seem to have the most trouble with the candy land lady
We're talking about isle 1. Beat it, kid.
Oh she isn't on Isle 1? I guess Isle 1 is just that forgettable. I breezed through that shit
the tutorial
>Honestly, none of the bosses are really that hard.
The game is insanely easy. Just die 10 time while memorizing everything and you win
the blue guy
Completing the game.

Congratulations, you've figured out what makes "hard" games "hard". The human brain is good at patterns. Figuring them out is stimulating, and a major reason why so many video games incorporate them. Why Dark Souls gets the credit for this when it's the most common facet of game design, period, is beyond me. Lack of perspective, I guess.
Does anyone have a screenshot of the giant laughing cuphead you get when you use super art 2?
I fucking love it so much, but I can't find a picture of it anywhere.
...
RGN out the ass and thats the only boss that has it
You have to have all of the upgrades.
You must gets them all.
You must.
>. Why Dark Souls gets the credit for this when it's the most common facet of game design,
What? DS gets credit for not being artificaly difficult. If you master the game then you can beat a majority of bosses in your first attempt.
>The human brain is good at patterns.
youtube.com
tried this fucker for like two hours yesterday
jesus fucking christ I want to die
that third phase rekts me every time, too woried about the dividing flames to remember that the fucker turns into a flame thrower
fuck the dragon man, dying at 95% of damage is hell
So, why does he have animes in his eyes?
>fuck the dragon, man
Well, if you insist.
...
>mfw vinny beat the dragon in his first try
launching the game, followed by one of the bosses on the first island
Not on Sup Forums they don't
That goddamn Octopus
only time will tell, the game has all of the charm to be remembered fondly
Sup Forums has moderately grown up of hype culture, believe it or not, Sup Forums actually has the decency to remember and treasure those games that actually have more value. that's why I somewhat trust this board about their videogame choices, when you learn to read through the shitposting and the ironic talk. Sup Forums knows their shit
Dragon final form for me. No bullets upgrade of course
>The goddamn octopus on a pacifist run
Literally impossible.
>pacifist run
nani the fuck? what is a pacifist run in this game?
This comparison is insulting to the pigeon.
Pigeons are intelligent birds, you can't compare them to something like a game journalist.
>didnt beat the game
Run and gun liberal edition
Phase 2 was way harder than phase 3. He only has two moves, and one of them has a 2-3 second long audio cue.
Like in undertale
This.
Does the dragon blow fireballs at you in the second run and gun stage on the first island?
when you jump on those fly things?
This is an English language imageboard
Please rephrase your question
sorry! I still am trying to get my English perfect!
Okay, so in the first Island on the second run and gun stage, when you jump on flys does the dragon shoot fireballs at you?
Do I sound right now?
It blows fireballs at the flies, not at you.
Everyday I become more convinced that the people complaining about Cuphead's difficulty have never played a Metal Slug game, let alone tried to 1CC any of them.
So Dragon men hates flys?
Awesome, thank you so much!
lurk more
flames only divide if you shoot at them, just be carefull and dont spam shoot
What? I've been asking this question since the day that picture was drawn, and no one has been able to give me an aswer.
...
The Zeppelin Moon was the hardest on isle 1 imo
Then again i sucked at all airplane levels
you stupid fuck, it's a reference to another macro with the same dialogue
you could easily google it and get some stupid kym article about it
Holy shit finally. Thank you so much
The flower or frog slot machines in isle 1. If you can somehow get past him then either the baron or the clown.
Charged shot helps a lot on him. I think charged shot has the highest DPS in game if you time the shots right.
Spreadshot has the highest, but that's only if all 5 shots are hitting. Charge is better either way since you don't have to keep your aim fixed the entire time, you can simply aim and shoot when it's done charging.
>tfw played most of the game with smoke dodge
am I casual ?
People actually trouble with her?
Bar the Cupcake who has more reach than expected, all her attacks are pretty simple.
Just move in a place where you can keep guiding her head and parry the peppermint for a instant super and boom done.
Isle 2 hardest would most likely be either Red Robie Williams or Dragon.
As a youtube commenter put it.
>Keeps dying over and over in Planet Robobots boss rush
>Does extremely well in Cuphead; a boss rush game
>what
>Not the genie
That faggot gave me way more trouble than the dragon.
He's the same fuck who's somehow bad at Sonic 3
This is the cutest boss in the game
You...
for s-ranking
isle 1 - hilda berg
isle 2 - wally
isle 3 - robot
fucking hell those plane levels are hard.
That's not the Devil, how dare you
Sally Stageplay also a cute
Robobot's True Arena is a boss gauntlet with little to no healing between each boss and each boss in Cuphead is separated and can be redone independently from each other. Imagine if you had to do the entirety of Cuphead without dying once.
There's nothing good about FF7. Weeb shit that only nostalgic faggots praise it.
Last time I checked you did get healed between bosses.
Plus there isn't really a power in Cuphead which lets you avoid people attacks like Archer does in Kirby.
...Well until you fight this bastard.
...
>Last time I checked you did get healed between bosses.
You only get one quarter of your health back between each boss, and one half before Star Dream EX. Even without accounting the last 4, it's really probable most people aren't gonna be at full health if they do reach Star Dream, which has 4 incredibly long phases with one of them being completely new. You *can* decide to cheese the game, sure, but finishing it powerless which I did is definitely insanely harder than just finishing Cuphead.
>tfw used archer like a pussy
>tfw hid in cover while it did it final attack
>tfw the final attack ignores your cover and kills you anyway
>tfw those 25 minutes gone to waste
hilda berg
genie
robot
isle 3 is surprisingly easier than most, or maybe i just got better
>patterns
Except there very few "attack patterns" in this game. Just phases. You have to kite the projectiles and manage dodging space. Memorization only comes with remembering what possible attacks the boss has and the telegraphs.
Agree with Frogs. Dragon is not hard by any means, the Genie is harder...hell even the roller coaster boss is harder. Get Charge shot and the Dragon is trivial.
The way I did it, I parried all his pink mindrays and managed to get a super right at the first phase. If you manage to do that, you should be able to get enough meter for another super by the time he gets to his final phase. I used a chaser for his second phase and just focused on dodging. Having a super for the final phase immensely shortens it. Less time spent in that phase = less chances for mistakes. Charge + homing.
I found the balloon clown to be the hardest so far after clearing Isle 2 plus the first three bosses of isle 3.
>the run and guns make me rage far harder than any boss
who else has this problem?
clearly you haven't tried s-ranking bosses.
After all the talk about the dragon I was expecting something harder to be honest. The first two phases are completely trivial and easy to get through. Final phase can be tricky, but once you figure out to not spam your shooter and hit the flames you're golden. Hardest world 2 boss for me was probably this smug fucker.
Charged shot
The first run and gun. Couldn't beat it for the life of me last night. It feels like my controller on my PC has such large input lag that I can't even get those parry jumps.
The first run and gun is actually the hardest desu, at least the others don't throw loads of shit at you.
Yes. Yes I am.
Couldn't get past the fucking frogs
>giving up
Casual filter: Hilda
Tryhard Filter: Dragon
Speedrunner filter: Robot/Pirate
Past 3rd filter you are god. King Dice and Devil aint go no shit for ya
The devil phase one is bullshit, his dragon form is completely broken and no matter where I stand, I get his by him.
Stop trying to make me feel good, user.
I beat the game and I'm still a filthy casual.
It's a glitch with his hitbox, apparently. Jump as he's pulling away and you won't get hit
I know there is a glitch with weapon swapping that I can destroy phase one very quickly. I'll just use it phase one only and do the rest legit.
Have you tried ducking when he leaves?
I think so, but usually a little imp spawns when he does the dragon form and I'm not sure if the imp is hitting me or the broken hitbox is.
Ok let me rephrase: you are god compare to the fags who got filtered on previous 3 filters
>good art
Are all Supers useless except the first one?
Yes.
