What an incredible release year, and it's not even over yet. Odyssey already confirmed best Mario since 64 by Edge magazine (10/10). Feels good to have preordered.

A few weeks after Splatoon, we got Sonic Mania. After spending time with that and getting intrigued by Puyo Puyo since Mean Bean Machine was a minigame there, I picked up Puyo Puyo Tetris and had a real good time with that.
Then I bit the bullet and got Mario plus Rabbids. With so many people saying it was surprisingly good, I just had to see for myself. Definitely one of this year's sleeper hits.

TLDR, if you couldn't find any games on Switch between Splatoon and Odyssey, you just aren't looking hard enough, if at all.

This is the best year of releases of any year I can remember. There's been at least one hit pretty much every month.
