Gamespot give 7/10 to A Hat in Time because of VO

7 sounds too high for me, played it for a couple hours before I got bored
I will buy this game
when it comes out for ps4
"""Reviewers""" gave almost every call of duty and battlefield of the last decade an above 8. How you can take any of them seriously is beyond me
damn a 7!?! the devs must have bought the review!
Yooka Laylee has a 6/10 on Gamespot and it's a much worse game.
5 points for the game launching and plays fine
3 points for being an average game
5 + 3 = 8, that's how reviews work idiot
>game journalism
>journalism
When will those useless fucks realize that nobody cares about their """"score"""".
They are not qualified to rate anything. Gma "journalists" are just a bunch of cucks who are too stupid to get a McDonald's job.
>trusting reviewers in 2017
y tho
just pirate it first and buy it if you think it's fun
More proof than Voice Acting is more of a hassle than the benefits it brings.
"first world"
but there's only one world, do they have insights on DLCs or workshop mode?

But that's not how product quality works, silly user.
Normalfags care alot about their arbitrary score and they make up the majority of the market user
Am I right in assuming that you're whining about a game you like getting an above average review?
Are you one of the retards thinking 7/10 should mean average?
Yeah I hate women too
7 is more than fair, it's an 8 at best and that's not bad
Apart from mustache girl the vo is great, they apparently don't mention the bugs and sometimes iffy jump detection. A 7/10 is right, but clearly didn't play the game longer than half an hour.
Probably some communist retard fuck who got triggered over the fact that Jon "6 million more" Tron was put in the game
They must regret keeping Jontron in the game now.
>7 out of ten
>2 points above average
>bad
I have always hated this shit. I have pointed this out for years and will continue to cry about it until "journalists" get their shit together.
0-5 points for art, technical stuff, music etc
0-5 points for gameplay
Add the scores that's how it works
>reviewer thinks there's more than one world
That's an easy way to discredit yourself.
5 isn't average. It's utter shit. I would never waste my time on a 5/10 video game
As you can see, this retarded community reinforces the "7 = shit" "9 = decent" meme by completely overreacting to what should be an above average score.
The reviewers are just giving these dumb fucks what they want.
>being in the middle isn't the same as being average
in what world?
>5 on a 0-10 scale isn't average
Please never post again.
Behold, the dumbest post on the dumbest board.
5 isn't average on a 0/10 scale, when the scores don't follow the normal distribution.
>The VO is over the top
[ANGRY SCOTTISH YELLING]
>i'm only right under these specific conditions
thanks for proving yourself wrong
They gave Nsane Trilogy a 6/10, why are people taking them seriously again?
Why would I ever waste my time on mediocre entertainment for tens of hours? A mediocre movie is bad for 1.5h hours. You have to suffer for 20 hours for a mediocre game
Why the fuck would I ever do that?
in a world where median and average aren't the same concept faggot
>implying that's how any gamejourno review that uses 1-10 scale has worked
ever since GI got popular they only use the top half of the scale, and anything 5 or below might as well just be a 1. This is why 10 point scales are retarded.
in this one, where the "average" score has been sitting on 7 for a decade now
>Sup Forums can't read more than the summary from the review
You're right, when retards like yourself force an unnatural distribution on the scale due to not understanding that 5 is supposed to be the average, 5 ends up being below average.
Truly a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Despite that, no reviewer has to conform to the metacritic score inflation. Any rational human being will rate something 7/10 only if it's above average.
thank (you)
These aren't specific conditions, these are the only real ones.
You seem to have trouble understanding that "average" only applies to existing data points. When there are no points below a certain value in the set of data, the average is offset higher.
In this world nigga, if you consistently got 50% on every test in class you'd be the retard kid. An "average" kid gets B's, which is ~70%. It's 2017, the market of both AAA games and indie games are oversaturated as fuck. Being "average" or "good enough" won't fucking cut it, it's just as bad as being trash. There's too many good games to waste time on a 5/10 when there are so many 7's, 8's and 9's to play.
im sorry i dont have a 165 iq like you
maybe rick and morty fan forum would be a moresuitable palce for you
I'm not a "professional" game reviewer, you retard, I don't force anything. I'm just explaining how things work in the real world.
Are you implying that above average is synonymous with mediocre?
You're not actually that stupid, right?
4/10 is not a real score. Nobody cares how terrible the game is. 4/10 is terrible. Waste of time. 1/10 is also terrible. They are both useless scores
>5/10 is average
>thus 7/10 is above average
Huh, do people not know what average means in a mathematical sense? It's the thing where you add a bunch of scores and then divide by how many you added. It's not always 5, not if the majority of games got more than 5.
>american civil war the second will allow you to shoot these people and get awards for it
based commies undoing themselves at every juncture in time.
That's a nice way to avoid answering the question.
See
scores 1 from 6 are terrible entertainment. I would never play terrible games for 20 hours
cringe
That's still wrong in a sense. In a vacuum, 5/10 is supposed to be a "so-so" game. But we don't live, play and buy games in a vacuum. If the majority of games coming out are 7/10 "pretty good" games, then a 5/10 game is still below the average.
>the first world is uninspired

>IT'S CURRENT YEAR GUYS
post discarded
No he's right and you're wrong. There's no law the median on the scale (well 5.5 if 0 is a score) should be the average score. What do you do if a bunch of games come out that are as good as the curren point 8 games, do we all gather up and decide which games now get pushed down in score to make sure 5 is still the average score? There's nothing unnatural about it.
The statement would still be the same if I said "it's the 21st century guys", but I guess a retard like you wouldn't understand the whole sentence in the first place.
>IT'S CURRENT CENTURY YEAR GUYS
post discarded
My initial post and reply stands since your only rebuttal is to ignore the statement for unexplained nonsensical reasons.
>it's 2017
and?

>>trusting reviewers in 2017

Underrated comment, it's what I do.
I wonder how this guy feels when his shitty Sup Forums infographics don't have the intended effect for the 100th time.
And what? Can you not read? Were you being literal when you said that and you are unable to read whenever your eyes come across any mention of the year?
My statement is that the contextual climate matters when talking about whether a game is good or not. A 5/10 game is still a below average game if most games coming out at the same time are 7/10 or 8/10. The point about the year is that thanks to the rise of the indie scene and such, there's more games than ever so it's harder to justify playing a shitty game over something that's less shitty.

There are 4 worlds.
Shit nigger is this your first post?
>5 out of 10 means it would be an average game and since no one would want to play an average game we'll make 7 be the new average
Meaningless statements ignoring the content of an argument.
kys faggot
i mean why not just get rid of scores keep the rest of the review the same but get rid of the numbers? this would fix so many problems
>look at me, I have so many games to play
something someone with no taste would say
you lost kiddo
How does this person even know if communism was involved? This shit is so stupid, people go through experimental periods in college, try new things. Over half of these pictures are just girls with different haircuts, is that really such a threat?
Pathetic.
>t. commie
go back to your antifa rally kid
what did he mean by this
same reviewer that said "too much water"
move along and ignore
But I don't want to read the test, reading is hard, I just want to look at the pretty numbers to see if I buy the game of not.
To be fair, this is a huge knock against Freedom Planet as well.
It does matter.
>men turning into drag queens and getting pozzed is just a "phase"
you let it happen, it's just a slippery slope
Then Sup Forums wouldn't make threads about them
>you can turn it off
>still take points off for it in the game
Gamespot has always been shit but Jesus Christ
Really? Too much water? Literally only the first level has a body of water in it. Jesus christ.
good these threads are a pain in the ass
Wow people don't remain a static personality throughout their life thanks Karl Marx
Well that to a lesser extent obviously, but things like girls growing out their armpit hair and getting weird colors, or whatever, yeah that's a phase, and I know for a fact that MOST people grow out of it.
Regardless, if you think this is about communism you're fucking deluded, it's about american college culture.
>gave almost every call of duty and battlefield of the last decade an above 8
Ever stop to think that maybe its because they're good games? There's a reason why they sell
turn what off? is this about the blonde girls VO? cause she is the only one i have had a problem with
It's butthurt about JonTron, guaranteed. No journo of their ilk is going to give this game a fair shake.
newfag
They'll stop once they notice girls are still only interested in Chads and other outgoing people.
>Implying Sup Forums doesn't bitch endlessly about features that can be easily avoided
Fuck off. You guys have been shilling this game way too hard.
Or maybe it's not as good as you shills keep saying.
you're right, it is about college culture, and that's why colleges are hives of commies and fruitbowls
Here's where you expect me to qualify my taste in games to refute your insult. I could list any game and you would turn the conversation into criticizing my taste in games, but I don't need that to prove my point.
Some of the games I play are pretty long, maybe 50-70 hours total. I'm a busy guy, not some loser NEET with no life, I rotate between 3 or 4 games I feel like playing. Not all of them are brand new, sometimes I'm getting around to stuff I missed or retro shit.
So if there are 5 or 6 games out there and some of them are shitty, I'm not going to play them. There's been maybe 4 games that came out this year that I actually want to play and between them, that'll keep me fairly busy for the rest of the year. All those games are between a 7-9/10 on most people's scale. So a game comes out that is a 5/10, compared to what few games I'm currently playing, it still may as well be shit. It's below average, below the average of games I'm playing and below the average of all games that have come out this year. 5/10 is not a score to be proud of.
By all means, try to derail the argument by insulting me some more.
>lag spikes
I see no problem with people trying out new things, your sense of identity is only strengthened with each discovery.
>being able to customize your gaming experience is a bad thing
>this is what neo-Sup Forums ACTUALLY believes
awwww the pedophile community of Sup Forums are upset Memespot gave their beloved game a 7. Fuck off.
Wow people turning into hideous homos and trannies and getting shitty dyke cuts isn't pozzed degeneracy at all
thanks obama
>Movement snapping feels like a hindrance
???
What?
Safe uninspired review. Big review sites always have Game Social Status as an unmentioned metric: Ninty gets +1/10, big budget gets another +1/10 and indie gets -1/10.
I really really like aHiT, but it's not a perfect game and 8/10 is fair, 9/10 is pushing it. 7 is clearly too low but it's an indie game so other than their standard bias gamespot got it right.
>implying they care about women at that stage
these people are hopefully all gonna die off at the ripe old age of 30-35 from all the STDs they contract
