Best hacking minigame ever
I like Prey's.
What's it like? RUINER's is about pressing a long string of buttons fast. It's not challenging in the slightest. Enjoyable as fuck, though.
Human Revolution.
Investing into hacking was such a massive payoff.
Ruiner's hacking "minigame" was pure shit.
Game itself is 6.5/10 at best, they really need to work on new content because what's actually in the game right now is completely forgettable
I wouldn't rate it that low but I do also want more content
Wrong.
Whenever I open Ruiner it just says no file on his mask.
How do people always have these webms of him from the menu pose with shit actually showing on his face?
>tfw cant adjust to the angled movement system of ruiner and keep running the wrong direction
You have your brightness cranked. You shouldn't be able to notice that. Stop being fucking retarded.
they're working on updates. not sure how long they'll last but they just released the first one and said there will be more
Pushing a sequence of buttons is the best hacking mini game ever?
What the fuck?
It's the best I've played. Simple. Satisfying. I always do it extremely fast.
Dex had a better hacking system. It's also a better indie cyberpunk than Ruiner (though that's not saying much).
Come on, it's a gimped quick time event. You don't even "press x to awesome", you just "press x".
Red pill me.
So? It's fun. Most games fuck it up completely.
It amazes me that after playing Ruiner the only thing you bothered to compliment was the oversimplified hacking sequence.
Just use a gamepad, shooting is not as important as movement in this game.
But it's literally the only enjoyable part.
Oh come on, the combat is fun. And weapons are pretty cool too. It's just that whoever designed the actual enemies and bosses really dropped the ball. Level design was kind of neat.
Whoever decided to put in the Mother and Trafficking boss fights needs to be taken out back and shot. Same with the repeating golem boss fight or whatever those things were called.
Yeah Trafficking's gimmicks were bad but (actual spoiler) the Sicksisters making him fight again and again even though he was nearly dead was sick. Plus, that fight was fun.
...
The Trafficking fight is a total fake out, I actually liked it. Just calmly run inside the box while hitting the pillars. No tricks needed.
Alpha Protocol had good ones
...
I hated that one since it was obviously designed for consoles, so you had to use the mouse to move 1 set. Then the other hacking minigame was better but still. The biggest issue with minigames is that they need to remain fun after 20 times. With AP I really hated them after a couple of times.
