How to get into Hokuto no Ken:

Anime for first time, there is a bit of filler but only at the start and half of it is actually much needed character development that manga didn't have at the beginning since it was written as a one-shot due to not expecting success.
It also rotates some early events chronology to make better sense than in the manga.
And most importantly while artwork obviously isn't anywhere near as good as manga, the voice acting, music and direction are absolutely top of the line 10/10 material.

The anime adapts all of the manga up to chapter 210 (beginning of Volume 24), after you're done with that you can either read manga from the start but mind you that the scans are mostly terrible and very rough translation, especially in the middle, or you can read the manga from Volume 24 to the end which is the portion that the anime didn't adapt.

You should also read the interquel set between events of HnK1 and HnK2 that Hara made for 30th anniversary of the series, naturally it's canon.

Children tend to enjoy moral centric protagonists. It appeals to the moral policeman freshly instilled in their young brain. Older audiences tend to enjoy characters who are reflective of real people, characters who are morally ambiguous or at the very least are logically fleshed out.

Adults who cling to black and white heroes are essentially overgrown children. It is likely they own every silly piece of plastic Nintendo has spawned and think the Nintendo Switch is an innovation.

Akagi is actually a prequel to another series, Ten, where all this stuff about Old Akagi comes from.

Akagi itself was unfinished at the time of the anime. The Washizu match is only just now wrapping up after running for 18 years straight.

I'm pretty sure Kreia would fight back if someone tried to kill her and she also had no qualms about imposing her view of the force on the Exile in addiction to stating outright that she would kill the entire galaxy to preserve him just because of how unique he was. But you know, funposting.

Neutral for sake of being neutral is bullshit.
But characters with cogent motivation that can do things both considered good or evil are better characters that are spectrum absolutes. Many interesting villains fall into this category (like Ozymandias).

The implications of it are different though. She would chastise him not because helping others is wrong, but because by solving their problems he deprived them of the possibility of doing it themselves. Most people Kenshiro went on to rescue though had absolutely no chance of survival otherwise. They would be destroyed in an unnatural fashion by insane people that are bent on destruction.

The french company/dubbers/studio said they don't like the anime because it was too violent and gives of a "Nazi vibe", so they only agreed to dub it if they're allowed to put a spin on the dubbing and change parts of the story to make it lighthearted and comedic

It's also worth noting that Kenshiro saving those people earned himself the title of the Saviour of the Century's End and only because of this was he able to rally people to him and stand up to Raoh's army.

Depends on the game, most games I play have a fairly ambiguous main character, you can only assume how he feels about the events unfolding and that works well enough because you can make the choices that feel appropriate.
That said, I don't oppose characterisation of the player character or the existence of a main character. But I think it works poorly when you want c&c.
