Why is Arthur Morgan front and center

in the Red Dead Redemption 2 artwork

even though its Dutch's gang

interesting?

because he's the protagonist

He's probably the one that actually leads the gang while Dutch sits on his ass and gets all the credit

I refuse to believe that this Arthur Morgan guy is the main protagonist considering how he is completely unlikeable. He's clearly gonna be a more realistic Trevor or some shit while there's gonna be 2 other characters you switch between.

he's probably the "on the field" commander while dutch is the "le epic strategist smart man"

You'll be playing as Arthur so maybe that's why.

-Rockstar pretty much quoted "The story of Arthur Morgan and the Van Der Linde gang"

- Arthur is front and center of the artwork

we can pretty much infer that he is the main protagonist

and what is this deal that a protagonist has to be likable to be good?

rockstar's description of the trailer pretty much infers that Arthur is the central character

why do people assume Arthurt is the only protag? They still got plenty of time to reveal more protagonists with more trailers.

because the description in the Rockstar trailer highlights it

"The story of Arthur Morgan and the Van Der Linde gang"

also the fact that he is front and center in the artwork

So what?
>second trailer
>"Follow the story of [Insert character name here] and Arthurt Morgan as their paths cross in a life of crime in the old west."

When Rockstar showed the second trailer for GTA V, they specifically showed that their are 3 protagonists

the fact that they specifically said the story of Arthur Morgan and highlighted him the whole time pretty much shows that he is the main protag

I think its possible that we can switch too different characters in specific missions since the game tends to be "gang based"

but Arthur is still the central protag and the character you play in free roam

until he gets killed by John Marston as his initiation rite. Then you play as Marston from then on.

>until he gets killed by John Marston as his initiation rite
That's so fucking retarded

>implying it's not what's going to happen
Arthurt Morgan is going to be exposed as a fed plant and Dutch is going to have Marston kill him to prove his loyalty to the gang.
Do we know when Marston fell in love with or married Abigail? They could also have Morgan attempt some extreme violence on Abigail and Marston goes nuclear.

If they develop the heist system of GTA V to allow you to create your own single player heists, it could make sense. You play the end game as John Marston and it's endless heist missions for however long you want to do them.

>everybody talks about how great the ending to RDR was because John died
>the next installment of the series is a prequel in which you play as a character never seen or mentioned in the first

Gee, I wonder what happens to him at the end?

I know about that line, it's literally the only way they describe the game on every video or article about it.
It still doesn't make sense because again, the character is unlikeable. On purpose, I might add.

they're gonna kill him off my dude

He'll get a redemption arc

Could just be that he betrays Dutch and ends up parting ways with the gang. Won't necessarily die.
