What are some video games that make u think?

11 animals

10 or 11, depending on whether or not the monkeys are holding the same parrot.

Five animals.

The rabbit, the monkeys, and their parrots.

The elephants all saw the same two monkeys, and aren't on the way to the river.

when each elephant saw a pair of monkeys, is it the same pair?

10 animals
the rabbit isnt actually going to the river you fucks

Also depends on how many monkeys there were. There could be as many as infinite monkeys.

>every elephant saw 2 monkeys
This doesn't say "they saw exactly 2 monkeys" and it doesn't say "they all saw the same 2 monkeys". There could be as few as 2 or as many as infinity monkeys.

This is a really shitty variant of the classic "as i was going to St. Ives" puzzle

I always fucking hated it though because it never explicitly says the direction of travel of anyone involved, and just assumes meeting someone on the way to a location means the same as "they are coming backwards from the target location", which it FUCKING DOESNT

ARTIFICIAL RIDDLE DIFFICULTY RRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>1 rabbit saw ... while going to the river

We got an absolute retard here. It's the elephants who aren't going to the river, so the answer is 5.

>A crowd sees a man shitting in the street
Guess the entire street belongs to India by that logic

Okay, so you don't actually have any reading comprehension.

31

5 is the correct answer, brainlets.

literally impossible to know. who is to say which monkeys the elephants saw? it can be anywhere from 2 to 12 monkeys.

>shcool

No idea since it didn't specify if the elephants saw the other animals because the elephants were heading away from the river, or just moving slower than the rabbit but faster than the monkey.

I mean really we don't have enough data.
If it said "of the following animals" sure, but it just says how many animals, and there could be more than what is listed.

Five, four if the two monkeys are holding the same parrot.

Obviously you switch the door, are you an retard or something?

The question doesn't ask how many animals were seen going to the river it asks how many animals are going to the river. There could be any number of unseen animals heading to the river we have no way of knowing with this given information.

THE ARISTOCRATS!

Okay, so it's established in the first sentence that the rabbit is going to the river, and that one rabbit saw six elephants. These six elephants see two monkeys going to the river. It's never stated that these elephants are going tot he river, so we can count them out. It's then stated that each of the monkeys hold a parrot, so that's two parrots, and since they're held by the monkeys, they're going to the river as well. Thus, one rabbit + two monkeys + two parrots = five animals in total.

>Rabbit
>The two monkeys
>Either both monkeys are holding one parrot, or they have a parrot each
4 or 5

>shcool

>The Rabbit
>The 12 Monkeys
>the 12 parrots
the answer is 25

It's five, you stupid cucks.

>1 rabbit saw 6 elephants while going to the river
So 1 rabbit is going towards the river, the 6 elephants are irrelevant
Total: 1

>Every elephant saw 2 monkeys going towards the river
So that's 2 monkeys going towards the river now
Total: 3

>Every monkey holds 1 parrot
2 monkeys each holding 1 parrot = 2 parrots

Total: 5

I really like watching Rick and Morty

>ahaha retard your wrong with english lmao
Fucking educate yourselves, americucks

what if the parrots dont go to the river because they are carried? so only two monkeys and 1 rabbit go to the river and 1/2 parrots are carried there?

this

There is no correct answer the question is flawed

That's like saying you're not going anywhere when riding a train

its 31 you absolute retards

1 + 6 + 12 +12 = 31

/thread

Rabbit explicitly stated going to the river.
The two monkeys that 6 elephants saw are explicitly stated going towards the river.
Both monkeys hold a parrot, which have no choice but to go to the river.
5 animals - rabbit, two monkeys, two parrots.

And how do you know if it isn't a case of the rabbit moving faster than the elephant while heading toward the river and overtaking them?

The first fucking sentence is "1 rabbit saw 6 elephants while going to the river."
If you can't figure out the rabbit is going to the river from this sentence, your reading comprehension is awful.

Whether or not the parrots makes the effort or even want to go to the river doesn't change the fact that they are in transit to the river.
There are many flaws with this question but this is not one of them.

ON THE MEATBONE

Seeing how Larry taught us that if it has a tail, its a monkey, it could completely mess with the numbers here. Each of the 6 elephants saw a monkey, so the rabbit could've been one of those 2 monkeys. The other could've just as easily been another one of those elephants. Therefore, there were actually at least 7 monkeys, and since each one was holding a parrot, that makes the number of animals 14. Since parrots have tails, they are also monkeys, and so they themselves were carrying parrots, which they themselves are also monkeys. This puzzle cannot be solved because its impossible to have an infinite number of monkeys.

>americuck pretending to be smart
lol

1 rabbit going to the river
12 monkeys (6 elephants * 2 monkeys) going to the river
12 parrots (12 monkeys * 1 parrot) being carried by monkeys towards the river.
Elephants were not stated to be going to the river.
1+12+12 = 25 animals going to the river.

Because the riddle said nothing about the elephants moving. All it said was that the rabbit saw the elephants on its way to the river. If you're going to play semantics, then oh, the rabbits could be at a different river than the monkey. Or oh, the rabbit is going TO the river, not TOWARDS the river

Here's your (You)

Why do the monkeys have parrots?

5

I believe that's the point of the image. A balance of properly stating the problem in concise terms rather than listing numbers and hope for the best.

5

Agreed but you can make some assumptions. Since the rabbit saw the elephants, you could assume they traveled together. If you assume that the elephants traveled together and the monkeys weren't hiding, we can assume that they saw the same 2 monkeys.

but then it doesn't specify whether or not the elephants were going towards the river

a number ranging from 3 to 41 depending

4
rabbit was headin to river
saw the 6 elephants.
those 6 elephants saw 2 monkeys going to the river, each monkey had 1 parrot each
1 rabbit
2 monkeys
2 parrots
the elephants weren't going towards the river

>he doesn't hold a parrot

Your post clearly states 5

>from 3
But how?

1 + 2 + 2 = 4

i was going to say those 2 monkeys share a parrot

one rabbit saw six elephants so animals = 7
every elephant saw two monkeys so 7elephants*2 is 14animals
but each monkey holds parrot so 14+2 means 16 but the rabbit so 17

...

But what if the monkeys were both holding onto the same parrot? What then?

...

I'm too simple minded to get this, could someone explain the solution with a food analogy?

You're assuming "Every elephant saw 2 monkeys going towards the river" equates to each elephant saw 2 monkeys independently from what every other elephant saw (6*2). This can also be interpreted as the elephants all saw the same 2, and only 2, monkeys.

...

2048

It doesn't present a logical conflict with the statement, so it's a possibility.

But motherfucker, you like playing devil's advocate, you bitch.

1 burger was on it's way to the grill
it saw 6 pizza slices on its way
each of those pizza slices saw 2 chickens also heading to the grill
each of those chickens were also holding 1 potato each

how many items of food were going to the grill?

anywhere between 4 and 25, since there could be overlap between what the elephants saw.

well you don't grill pizza...

school is mispelt

you forgot chinese food
ain't no food more american than chinese food

5
>1 rabbit going to river
>6 elephants, unknown if going to river, so assumption is no
>every elephant saw 2 monkeys going to the river; each elephant saw the same 2 monkeys
>1 + 2 = 3
>every monkey (2) holds 1 parrot in their hands, so 2
>3 + 2 = 5

This food analogy is actually really good because the only food that isn't going to the grill is the pizza.

10/10 animal/food conversion

OBSESSED

1 hamburger saw 6 french fries whole going to the river. Every french fry saw 2 chicken nuggets going towards the river. Every chicken nugget holds 1 tomato in in their hands.

How many foods are going towards the river???

the pizza isn't going to the grill friend

In this board you do.

2 monkeys, 2 parrots and one rabbit. the elephants aren't going to the river

Language too unclear, can be interpreted in various ways.

b-because... the pizza... has cheese....?

5. Elephants aren't going towards the river. EVERY elephant saw two monkeys, with two parrots. Meaning 1 rabbit, two nigs, two parrots.

It’s fucking 19 you retards

I read the last part as together the 2 monkeys are holding the one parrot

minimum case:
1 rabbit,
2 monkeys seen by all elephants,
1 parrot being held by the two monkeys,
4 in total

maximum case:
1 rabbit,
12 monkeys, each pair seen by a different elephant,
12 parrots, one for each monkey,
25 in total

...

16

16
get on my FUCKING level

>for smarts only
Also my get is the answer

Whats the trick?

>16
You missed one

It's actually 17

There's a difference between "a crowd" and "every person in the crowd" in a grammatical sense.

8 at the top, 6 on the dial, 2 in the text at the bottom, which am i missing?

1 rabbit.
2 monkeys.
2 parrots.

5 animals are going to the river. It never said the elephants were going.

17.

there's actually 9 at the top

If you want to be anal about it the answer is 4.
The rabbit is "going to the river", the 2 monkeys and their parrots are "going towards the river"

Being specific to the exact words asked in question, how many animals are "going towards the river"? It's 4.

"every person in the crowd sees a man shitting in the street"

the parrots are not going towards the river, they are being carried.
only the rabbit and the 2 monkeys are being described as going towards the river.

oh fuck off that just looks like a jpg compression artifact

Are you fucking implying the letter m is a 3?

Looks more like a 1 to me.
