Anything I should know before playing this?

use a widescreen fix

and have fun

You're playing for the story, not for the gameplay

Just be you'reself
there's no wrong way to play this game

First game is fine vanilla, but like that other guy said you may want to snag a widescreen fix. There's also some restored content out there for this one but it doesn't really amount to anything. You can pretty much build your character however you want and use your party members however you want, even if you don't optimize you're still going to be carving through people.

Alright, thanks everyone.

Lightsabers are for idiots. Baragwin Assault Blades are for many men.

Oh yeah, don't pass up the opportunity to visit Yavin multiple times, that guy sells KILLER items and later on he restocks with even better stuff

that its going to be the best thing ever if youre a brainlet

if you arent its merely a warmup to the real kotor, kotor 2

How the fuck do I get this to run on Win10

Save often, it's not exactly stable on modern systems

One

>Google the answer so I can make fun of you
>First hit is steam forums
>Everyone is shitting on OP for pirating the game and telling him to buy it
>Not a single employee that made that game still works for the company that would be getting the money
I made myself extremely mad

PC or console? It's actually kind of important. In the PC version (Xbox had this as DLC, but it unavailable now as far as I know) there's an extra place you can visit, a space station orbiting Yavin 4. Make sure to visit every so often. Right at the end of the game there will be two lightsaber color crystals that affect the stats of lightsabers, and they're neat (I don't think they're necessary to complete the game - the final boss can be beaten with Force powers alone).

Also, if you're playing the PC version, you may want to get the mod that removes the random turret minigame chance (for whatever reason, KotOR has a dumb turret minigame, it's not hard, but it does get annoying). There are still points where you'll have to play the minigame that are hard coded events.

Aside from that, enjoy yourself.

The game uses d20 for combat, so if you'e never played d&d or any d20 rpg before things might feel a little strange to begin with.

Knowing what 1-12 (19-20x2) actually tells you helps ect...

Nothing wrong with me

Don't open it ;)

LEAVE RIGHT NOW BEFORE FAGGOTS SPOILER YOU

this fucking asshole

We've made it a pretty good length of time without any being posted, I'm impressed

Revan's pants are stolen from his corpse in the future

I haven't been following it closely but I think they steered TOR back towards the original plan and Revan is involved again.

Don't be one of those cunts. Both games are great, just very different in their tone and maturity.

you motherfu

never said it wasnt good, I said he will enjoy it far more if he doesnt have the capacity to truly enjoy the second one

kotor 1 is "objectively" the better game since quality writing, themes and story is hard to objectively measure, especially in the case of a broken game like the sequel

>Giving a (You) to an Obsidiot

it's boring

Using any weapon at all is completely trash.
Go unarmed.

you're Revan

Watch all the Star Wars movies and play the sequel after you're done.

user, Revan was killed. At least try believable spoilers.

Go away Kreia. I'll use any weapon I damn well please.

I was waiting for this one.
