How do you like your 100GBs games?

thats why i play phone games instead

go digital, gramps......

My storage and internet speed is about 300x increased from ye olden days. 100gb doesn't phase me.

I already am. Still doesn't excuse the lazyness of devs with these absurd size of games nowadays.

30 minutes?

That shit took hours.

this

no because i bought it for the xbox 360 and i was playing the first mission five minutes after i got home from the store.

I remember waiting only to find out graphics were bugged and I couldn't see beyond few meters. Lucky nvidia fixed it next day.

no I played it on a real system about a year prior like everybody else

Get with the times.

>at console resolution
>at console draw distance
>at console limitations for number of cars or peds
>without a mouse

"played it", technically

same, good times.

>5 minutes

Nigger, it took fucking FOREVER to load into the game.

Jeez man, I still remember the music.

>>>/neogaf/

Yea and then one of the DVD was broke

youtube.com/watch?v=GQLJhUGb-iQ
it takes 70 seconds for the game to load up, any other lies you want to make up?

Maybe after you install the game on your HDD.

>100gb
>start up download
>go to sleep for the night
>wake up at 12 in the afternoon
>start playing
wow, so hard

>70 seconds
holy shit console cucks

post specs

I actually own this

>dvd format for a 2013 game
jesus christ, why?

My internet isn't very good, so I didn't want to download a game that's like 40GB+ in size. I also thought it would be a novel thing to own. It comes with a map, like physical versions of older GTA games.

On one hand, 100 goddamn gigabytes.
On another hand, at least it installs itself with barely any input from me.

Also, that's nothing compared to playing a multi-disc game in the PS1 era and finding out one of the later discs had a scratch that prevented you from continuing the game.
I lost both Grandia and Final Fantasy VIII to that.

>PS1 era
you mean n64 era

Nah, my PS3 loaded up the GTAIV 50gig bluray just fine.

Digital is for cucks

>buying GTA Shit V
>buying GTA Shit V in physical form

end your life cuck

is compression a pain in the ass or are the devs just assholes?
serious question

Can you cuckolds run the game at 4K 60 fps with all settings maxed on your decade old consoles too?

>mfw

GTAIV still runs like runny ass on PC.

hurrdurrr not having fiber internet in the current year hurrrrrrrr not having a 2 terabyte ssd in the CURRENT YEAR DEEEUHHH

I remember when you could edit the xml files that provided the configuration values for everything and run them in multiplayer.

High speed dump trucks and pistols with automatic firing of rockets was the best

The thing about consoles is that the rules are very clear. Consoles can only be compared to other consoles because PCs can only be fairly compared to PCs. Only digital fags are getting cucked since they don't own their games.

On your PC maybe. I can play at 4k max settings and 60 fps almost all the time on mine.

No but that didn't stop me from enjoying the game and finishing it.

Im guessing you downloaded it booted it at at 4k on your ultimate gaming rigged played it for 10 minutes before installing a bunch of nude mods and downloading a completed save game? Fucking pc gamers

It's natural progression.

Physical > Digital

>Only digital fags are getting cucked since they don't own their games.
You technically don't own your console game either nigger. All you have is a licensed copy of the game printed on a Bluray disc.

>it's year of our lord 2000
>just got home with Diablo 2
>pop the first disk into my computer
>installer says it's going to take up one point six GIGAbytes of space
Fucking absurd, no game needs to be that big

>cuck
>cuck
>cuck
>cuk
>cuck

holy shit how hard you can fag it up

Sup Forums is reddit now, get used to it

cuck

>You technically don't own your console game either nigger. All you have is a licensed copy of the game printed on a Bluray disc.
hahaha seriously nigger? Faggot, I don't even need to connect to play my games, fuck, no one is stealing my physical games.

>Implying you can't play PC games offline too
I don't even need to pay to play games on PC unlike you console niggers subhumans.

Remember that retarded Rockstar Social Club

>install shield
takes me back

The largest game I own is Star Wars Galaxies. I think it has 4 DVDs. Regardless, that doesn't make 100 GIGS okay.

You're a pirate? No need to start shit with me piratebro, consoles are not PCs they don't compare to begin with. I have a PC too retard, fuck you.

>Be poorfag
>Really excited for this game
>Buy it for my shitty PC
>Would run at 15fps at best
>Still beat it and enjoy the fuck out of it
Ah to genuinely enjoy videogames

I enjoy video games too, but when something runs at literally sickening quality; I just don't enjoy having a headache from my entertainment.

I'd probably not enjoy it today, but I had more tolerance to poor framerate and shitty graphics when I was younger. Maybe because I was so accostumed to play every modern game like that.

CRTVs probably prevented a lot of those issues from really affecting us back then.

The PC port of GTA IV was complete ass and you know it.

Runs fine on my Ryzen 5 1600 and GTX 1070 system.

Got to love people who haven't been here for over a year that try to fit in by using buzzwords

>nine year old game runs well on modern hardware
color me shocked

Well you said it was complete ass yet it runs fine for me, your point is therefore disproven.

>was
>runs

I take it that English isn't your first language.

Is it yours? You're getting your past and present tenses mixed up.

Tense is irrelevant when you're quoting something.

...

Are you okay? Are you having a stroke?

are you guys retarded? hes right

...

Okay, so tense or when something was said is relevant when quoting something now. If we were to quote Martin Luther King Jr. "I have a dream" speech according to you dumbfucks from now on we have to correct it to "I had a dream" since the guy is fucking wormfood and is after the fact.

...

youtu.be/5Yd7hawQPpE?t=18
>six gigabytes? videogames don't even take up that much space!
>2006

...

btfo

I'm just posting my anime reaction images, I have no horse in this race whatsoever.

i hope your father finds it

>hope
>finds
I think you mean "I hoped your father found it" since the thought you just expressed has already been had and is now in the past.

>hoped
you mean hopped dumbass

Legitimate purchase = 100gb
Pirated Repack = 25gb

Just stop supporting these fucking Jews, simple.
Fuck wasting your time and money downloading uncompressed audio in languages you don't even understand.

>mean
>hopped
Corrected for you: "You meaned hoppeded dumbass"

make them 1k at the very least in the next 3 years please, with more aggressive drm and some other anti consumer shit so all normies leave and industry dies. Everything bad happening is for a reason and it shall escalate

Not all computers have Blu-Ray drives.

Underage ban. World of Warcraft took like 10 hours to install from like 8 compact discs + the patches.

>2004
oh wow you sure are an oldfag

No, I played it on a console like most people.

GTA4 was also 2008, ten years ago.

In 1998, ONE gigabyte was almost too much.

In 1988, 100 megabytes was unfathomable.

Technology moves on. What of it?

Do you people want 4K or not? 4K means you put up with huge download sizes.

>live in shitty country and the fastest internet I have is 10mb
>only bought a 1TB HD for my PC cuz I thought it would be enough
>that was 5 years ago
>now games that I like to play like GTAV, ESO, Witcher 3, Ghost Recon Wildlands, The Division, etc all need 50GB or more of space

Not counting the fact it takes me like 3 to 5 hours to reinstall them.
Still better than download and installing games on consoles though.

I used to think San Andreas taking up nearly 5GB was a lot.

Seven discs. Fucking seven discs.

Holy shit, user.

It runned like ass in my PC trough steam, so I decided to install some performance mods, but it always crashed. So, I downloaded it pirate, and it worked with the mods. After that, I decided to make a test, and started the pirate version without mods:

It ran alright. The pirate version had a better performance than the original, and unlike steam version with GFWL DRM, it didn't crash when I tried to reload a save after dying.

After that, I now understand why people on Sup Forums see DRM as a terrible thing. It indeed is.

Fucking this. It's mind boggling how a pirated version of a game is so often dramatically better than a genuinely bought version, assuming the torrent is a quality repack of the same version.

I still think that 15 GB is too much for a PC game. That's why I haven't downloaded it yet.

What is that thing?????

Is there a version of this game on PC that isn't riddled with decade old half broken drm or malware?

And you think that's too little?

Holy fuck, user. That's time enough to go take a piss and come back, any load screen that takes time enough for you to distract from the game, is too much.

Like, hell, even my older PC, who had 2GB ddr3, GT210, and a Dual Core 2.4, loaded the game in 15 seconds.

Yes, the piratebay one. Way, way better performance than steam version with gfwl, I can assure that to you as someone who has the game on steam but only plays pirate.

...ok?

And how long did it take to download and install?

At least lose with some class.

maybe actually read the previous replies before you go full autist. the other dude thought it took 5 minutes for the game to load.
