Can VR save the lightgun genre?
Can VR save the lightgun genre?
...
It's fun to play lightgun roms on NewRetroArcade but I think vr motion controllers are their own thing.
Hopefully.
Farpoint was pretty great with the Aim controller.
Until VR FPSs kill them just like they did non VR.
I want a Star Wars republic commando remake for the vr, i feel it could be good
I'd say remove the teleporting. You can keep the moving from point to point thing but have the character actually run there like in Light Gun shooters
>Time Crisis VR
>House of the Dead VR
MY FUCKING DICK
Honestly I'd love to have something like PUBG or Stalker with the vr setup of games like Onward. Walking with a stick isn't so bad so long as it's not too fast or there's static elements to anchor the player during motion.
Game?
ARKTIKA.1 I think. Just came out.
>VR replaces arcade cabinets
>more people go spend money on them since most people don't want to fork over the cash for a headset and high end computer
>Arcades become alive again and see a resurgence
more like lightgun games are going to kill VR
That's quite the opposite of lightgun games. You know...fast paced, non stop action, being guide through some lead-heavy adventure. Instead you got fancy graphics, flashy effects, watching useless animations, presumably cutscenes, slow walking segments, arbitrary puzzles cause we build by checklist design etc.
Wake me up when something in the line of HotD or Point Blank comes along.
>watching useless animations, presumably cutscenes, slow walking segments,
None of those things are in VR shooters.
>watching useless animations, presumably cutscenes,
That's the player directly interacting with things with his hands/controllers. Not animations.
Shit, has the reason so many shit on VR been that they think it's all cutscenes?
>putting on shit helmet worn by dirty fat McButterHands and Tyrone Niggero
God I wish that'd happen, the only arcade around here just has arcade machines of mobile games and an air hockey table
Wet wipes, user.
Why cant they animate arms in any of these games
It's hard to predict where the elbows go with just controller detection and it looks bad when it goes wrong, so many just leave them out. Lone Echo has them though.
Holy fuck please yes. I loved time crisis but I'll need a gun that has feedback. Not the same without it.
Lone Echo's hand stuff is great.
I'd prefer the hands stopping on things instead of passing through but they'd need to do the individual fingers to get that right.
>Went to an arcade for the first time since I was a kid
>Played Point Blank again
Holy fuck I forgot how good that shit was.
>no torrent
>same with lone echo
Is that difficult to pirate oculus exclusives?
I can pirate everything else
Honestly I think that the only good games that could be made for VR are lightgun genre games, so yeah I do beleive that VR could save it.
cs.rin.ru, that's where I got it from.
Raw data does it too.
lemme just wipe off the bubonic plage permeating this foam insulation
namco museum?
Wear a ski mask then
