FUCKING HALF LIFE
Mario Odyssey ;)
you mean opposing force
Gears of War 2
Serious Sam the Second Encounter
Fucking this, the final boss was lame as shit. I was hoping for a interesting boss like Jack of Blades, but nope you just one shot this fucker.
Breath of the Wild. I'm sure there are worst final bosses out there but BotW's is so anti-climactic, especially if you did all the divine beast stuff and they shoot a giant fucking laser at Calamity Ganon and literally take away half his health. And then his final form barely even attacks you. You have to be a real scrub to die at all during this fight.
Resident evil 4, literally what the fuck, if they had to put Salvador instead it could have been better
Metroid fusion
RAGE because there wasn't one
Dying Light comes to mind, a fucking quick time event
Tales of Symphonia
Anyone that doesn't say Mass Effect 3 is a dirty liar.
Never forget Marauder Shields.
From a gameplay perspective, Demon Souls.
Borderlands 1
FFXV
honestly, Nier Automata if you excluding credits bullet hell
This.
Boring and tedious.
Gears 2
>the final level in the game is recycled tutorial level
>not "returning to where you began" level for final showdown
>you literally just play through the exact same tutorial again with zero changes
Probably Mad Max. Made even worse that you fight him before during the mid-game, and it's a much better fight
I recently completed Dark Souls 3 and the last boss was so much easier compared to Pontiff
Destiny 2
Why because you have to wait for the DLC to release to play it? Zing!
Crash bandicoot 1 2 and 3
Pre-patch fallout 3, if you kids are even old enough to remember.
Return to castle wolfenstien for the oldies out there.
Fucking this.
I was so ready to utilize all of the slate powers, armors, weapons, food, on top of all the divine beasts being complete to take on this epic final boss but it turned to be a complete joke.
Fable 2.
This.
Man i sure do love killing the boss in one hit or if i decide to spare his life he dies any way!
oh boy, that atrocity barely has the right to call itself final boss. Well, at least it actually has a final boss.
is that a mod that transforms fo3 into a furry game?
Dead Island. It's just a fast thug. Hell, that should have been an archetype.
No More Heroes 2.
alan wake
>Faced with boss that will do anything to humiliate you
>Seemingly impossible to defeat due to boss constantly breaking the rules
>At one point, boss even brings out your family members to shit all over you and talk about how much of a shut-in you are
>You never do beat the boss in the end, due to the game freezing as soon as you get your hands on a kendo stick
The Bayley game is a painful one to play
Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando
Megaman Battle Network 1.
A blemish on an great game.
Final Fantasy X
I'm not talking about Yu.
Bioshock Infinite, if you can even call that a boss.
I still don't understand why they didn't bullshit a summon or just give Kuja a second form or literally anything. Was he supposed to be the party fighting to live after Kuja's last attack?
Stormblood
Earthbound
>don't actually fight him, just guard paula lol
Let's be honest, the true final boss was False King Allant. What you fight at the end is perfect from a narrative/thematic point of view.
considering I remember pretty much everything else about all 4 games this must have been so bad I blocked it out
It's basically Zidane and the party go "NO U" to Death. It's a badass idea. But executed horribly.
Talk about teasing
Spacemarine. I don't remember ever being more dissapointed. Shadow of mordor would be as dissapointing if I enjoyed the game as much as speeeshmarune.
youtube.com
That Incredible Hulk game for the Genesis.
I'll never not be mad about it. The whole game hyped you up to fight Songbird, but the final "boss" ends up being hordes of regular enemies you've fought hundreds of already. Who thought that was a good idea?
I remember when I beat Super Mario Sunshine I was expecting a phase 2 boss fight right up until the credits rolled
You don't even fucking fight him in-game. It's a goddamn cutscene.
Any Sonic game from 2010 to now.
The dev team. Those poor, sloppy fucks rebuilt that game three times based on Levine's wishes.
do you mean ending E after the credits or ending C/D?
everyone was fawing over ending E, but with the extreme hype of the pods dialogs and credit bullet hell, I felt immensely disappointed by that 2 minute cinematic
Mass Effect 3 was going to have the Illusive Man controlled by Harbinger as the final boss, but they decided that was 'too video game-y' and scrapped it.
Demon's Souls
mass effect 3
>we didn't want to put in a final boss because it'd feel too video gamey
To be fair, it would have been stupid to do that and immediately do exactly what he wanted in their retarded push button ending.
What is Levine doing these days? Infinite came out in like 2012
it may end up like Heavensward, where the true final boss shows up a year later and turns out to be completely worth it. Thordan was cool, but was relatively easy. Nidhogg was a way more enjoyable final boss
Skyward Sword
Maybe disappointing isn't the right word, by that point I had no fucking expectations anyway
no, A2 and 9S duel
don't know why but it's just to easy
Zaithan in vanilla Guild Wars 2 was downright awful.
Lufia 2's Daos fight is easier than the other 3 Sinistrals, and seeing how you fought Gades and Amon 3 times each throughout the game, having to fight him only once is pretty weak. It doesnt help that his fight uses the same battle music as the other Sinistrals, lessening any impact that it may have had.
Everything after the battle is 10/10 tho
Halo 2
