Bad excuse for a shit thread. You can just remap the buttons in the controller menu
i use a ps4 controller but it's a microsoft exclusive so people are more likely to use xbawks controllers, I need to distinguish between sony's Cross button (which maps to microsoft's A) from microsoft's X button (which maps to sony's Square)
The default control scheme is important. It determines first impressions and, for a lot of players, the control scheme they will use for the full length of time.
Demanding to use the thumb for both jumping and shooting is objectively terrible with a fire-and-forget shooting mechanism in a game with constantly spawning enemies.
jump - A
dash - R2
Weapon swap - L1
shoot - R1
EX shot - Y
Lock - B
Using Hori Fighting Commander
Fuck the Devil
r2 feels like the most intuitive button for dash, for me
WASD to move
Up arrow to shoot - Right Arrow for super
Space for jump/parry
Shift for dodge
Never used lock
dude, 1 finger should be on shoot all the time and 1 can tap swap button(for speedrunner or normie style lobster-spread spam)
jump- x
dash- circle
aim - square ( i hardly use it, still square is a good button for this )
super - triangle
l1 swap r1 fire. no reason to use triggers
>Not playing it like Megaman and Bass
X: jump
Circle:Dash
Square: Shoot
Triangle: Ex Shot
L1: Weapon swap
R1: Lock
Christ plebs everywhere
shoot: pg up
jump: gas pedal
dash: shift 5 times in a row
lock: turbo on joystick
>using a controller
hello ______!
based
I rebinded dash to a shoulder bumper, so I could jump+dash more easily
Z, X, C: dash, jump, shoot
A, S, D: switch, lock, super
the true redpill
used this for hollow knight and ori as well
reminder any bindings where you have to move your fingers from button to button are trash and the reason why you're bad
Why not play it like megaman zero instead?
Jump: A/Cross
Dash: L2
Weapon Swap: R1
Shoot: R2
EX: B/Circle
Lock: L1
Jump = A
Dash = B
Weapon Swap = Y
EX = X
Shoot = RT
Lock = LT
>Walt Disney edition
Don't you mean Mark Fleischer Edition?
I really like the idea of the game. I just hate the art style they went with so much that I can't play it. It's weird, because I can appreciate how successful they were with the aesthetics they were going for. I just can't stand how it looks.
It's like hearing a well made country song. I can think it's good on a technical level, but it's still disgusting.
megaman games have limited bullets so you actually have to fire them with timing, so it's fine to have difficulty pressing 'jump' and 'shoot' at the same time because you rarely benefit from doing that. Cuphead very rarely gives you a reason to stop shooting so having 'shoot' inhibit movement abilities is a big deal.
