Can I play as ranger necromancer?
probably not
I made pistol wielding inquisitor+demolitionist
Now I wanna make aether ray. I have 100 hours of playtime and have played through the game once. I just end up making different characters. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
You don't have to play necromancer for that, you can just take a constellation that spawns skeletons that scale with your stats.
What's the worst class combo?
I base my characters around other game characters, pretty sad. Geralt, Djura, Solaire
I've never played the game before but bought the expansion. What's a fun build to play for my first time?
>umarked Chthonic Rift is Mourndale
Post your character
pic related, my Paladin, cleansing Cairn of aetherial and c'thonic scum
is this boring like TQ?
Who is she?
my waifu
It's similar to TQ
Any other Ritualist (Necro/Shaman) summoner around? My endgame is getting Beastcaller's for 2 Briarthorns, Raise the Dead devotion on Devouring Swarm, Deathgrips and Primal Instinct for more summons. My only concern is whether or not 30% chance on Enemy Death applies to what my minions kill or if its strictly me killing, likely by finishing off whatever trash is on low health.
Reminder to click this.
so it's shit
great
so, question about devotions that have a chance to trigger on attack
how does that work exactly? like with the runes of inquisitor, does it trigger off you casting it? or the rune detonating?
KILL THE NON BELIEVER
ANOTHER SACRIFICE
SUCH WASTED POTENTIAL
YOU ARE STRONG
BUT NOW I WILL DEMONSTRATE
MY TRUE
POWAAAAAAAAAA
Can I pass through this?
you dont have to
Yes.
I do the same but around mythological figures.
I played a character named Sati which was all about burning and fire retaliation.
Yes
>Hardcore Veteran
If you weren't sure, you'd be playing with Hardcore turned off.
NO...NO..AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!
Is the main character basically Aethereal?
What's the best way to do a frostburn/burn build? I was thinking Nightblade+Demo with Firestrike as my LMB.
Any other suggestions?
Don't get Rise of the Dead.
They scale with PLAYER bonuses not pets, so they are meh for you.
Get dying god instead and put the active skill on bone harvest for double pet bonus proc.
>want to try inquisitor and pet necro
>can't stop playing my dreeg's eye build
Am I fuckin blind?
Where is that Behemoth constellation you guys were recommending me last thread?
Lower left just to the left of the Lantern, down-right from the Abomination.
>double pet bonus proc
What? Everything in Hungering Void affects the pets or did you just mean Soul Harvest + pet bonus proc?
Did they fix archer/mage skelly aggro range yet?
Nope. Nor did they fix Archers trying to shoot shit through walls for the first couple shots.
Is necro still fun if you don't do a pet based spec?
God I want to fuck her mouth 'til cum oozes from her nose and she blacks out.
Also is Dreeg's evil eye viable poison build in ultimate?
Yes. Necro is great in Melee, Caster, and Pets.
>One Toggle Skill gives you almost 1200 base HP
The latter.
You'll be spamming harvest anyway, so you might as well get another bonus bonus.
So I'm a necro/occult minion master, just hit level 35 on this character but have an old almost level 60 occult/shammy. I picked up the Deathchill relic recipe and it seems absurdly good as it's an aura that adds a fuckload of damage. I have all but the manticore eyes made on my main, so is this thing as good as it looks? I know the other relic adds a new summon, so that would be good, but all this additional vit damage is tasty.
Whats a good mastery to go with shaman if i wanna be a two hand melee
I always seem to have a problem with low offensive ability. Is this from bad items or devotions?
soldier
can you guys recommend me a build? last time I just played retaliation following a guide, managed to drop all pieces of the set I needed which was a pleasant surprise but I was using a mod so not sure how viable it is in the base game
>Now I wanna make aether ray.
But aether ray is so fucking boring.
Depends, what do you wanna do?
Don't forget, better Aether Ray build than with Demo. Necro is so fucking good in every way.
some kind of mage with huge aoe if possible
>buying an expansion for a game you've never played
I hope you have fun though
Is Bloody Pox worth leveling? I've been using it and it's absolutely worthless so far, it deals almost no damage that I can see...
I'm a necro/occultist summoner, my main damage are my summons and Bone Harvest, but Bone Harvest has a pretty long cooldown and I'd like to add another skill in-between to pad my damage. Should I dump more points into Bloody Pox or what?
>you will never wipe her carefully applied mascara smears with a babywipe
>you will never tell her that her goth poetry is lame
>you will never force her to wear normal people's clothes after hiding her black hair dye
>you will never hear her shouting that it's not a phase
>you will never force her to go to church and worship our lord and saviour Empyrion
I heard a lot of complaints of there being no build viable around that skill..
That was before Necromancer hit tho, so now I'm not sure.
Necro/Occ Poison/Acid build good?
...
Then just try and forge your own path with (if you are getting the DLC) Inquisitor Arcanist/Demolitionist/Occultist. Inquisitor's Word of Pain is some funky shit.
>Has no visual AoE or impact
>Applies a sign above enemies around your cursor that deals huge amounts, early on, of flat Fire/Cold every second for 4+ seconds
>With Demo, you can easily transition to Stun Jacks spam like in pic related
Your taste is some of the most revolting and vile shit I have ever heard in generations.
does this game not let you create more then one character?
Since the expansion dropped, there's a minor bug where new characters won't show up in your character list until you reload the list. Close and restart the game or go into a character and back to main menu.
>you will never take her on a date to the Erulan opera
>you will never farm Den of the Lost to find the perfect engagement ring
>you will never marry her and settle down on a nice plot of land outside Homestead
It's a laser pointer for constellations.
>eldritch horrors have taken over the world
>better drown them in each and every manner of explosive implements
Demolitionists are the fucking best.
What would you recommend?
To make Bloody Pox work? I have no clue, never looked into it..
>no visual aoe or impact
just
You dont see it? I think for a little Stun Jack it shouldnt even be bigger. Its not like a dynamite stick..
It's like yelling "Nigger" at your enemies and watching them fall over in agony as it burns through their very being.
>settle outside of Homestead
>have to fight off a zerg invasion every few years
The lore behind dermapterans is funny, because the game pretty much tells us that every few years a bunch of farmers with pitchforks murdered an alien fucking queen.
how many points should i be putting in to these "on hit" abilities? Enough to get the chance up to 15%?
I don't care about Bloody Pox, I'm mostly looking for a viable damage skill that I can use in-between BH waves while my summons attack enemies and take the aggro. AoE DoT would be better but even single target is good.
I'm having a hard time parsing all these skills.
Necro has 1 (one) skill that has anything to do with Poison.
He was probably referring to the description of word of pain in that post.
>path of exile
>runs well
>path of exile expansion
>runs like shit
>grim dawn
>runs like shit
>grim dawn expansion
>runs like butter
what great time to be alive
Can anyone recommend me a Reaper build(Necro + Nightblade) Something DW would be cool. I'm completely new to grim dawn and just picked it and the expansion up.
Is playing Demo as a caster viable? I was looking at Stun Jacks+Mines but really no idea what to sub class it with, nor what weapon type I'd use.
You'd need a class that has an autoattack for a DW build, a soldier for example. Reaper can work as a cold/bleed caster I guess.
Grim Dawn actually runs like shit post-expansion on older PCs, while Path of Exile post-expansion runs decently. Better than before at least.
Help!
I just got my shaman/occultist to 50 and wanted to try inquisitor spec. I just got into the game and have no idea about majority of classes. If I spec demo/inq, is it more like caster based? I'd like to have some weight in my gameplay after spamming bloody pox and devouring swarm for hours. Does inquisitor/soldier include more of that weight or what would you recommend?
no, poe runs like shit and the new "improvements" improve nothing
>introduce dynamic resolution
>theory: scales down for older pcs and makes it run well
>practice: keeps changing the scaling all the time effectively making things worse
>introduce dynamic asset loading in the background
>theory: lets you play normally while things load in the background
>practice: insane stuttering when things aren't loaded yet, dropping down to single digits in the middle of combat if whatever effect is going to be played isn't loaded/cached in yet
t. assidous poe player
That proc is from the elemental balance rings set.
That is nothing, pic related.
bump, any tips?
What build?
How do you grab it?
>I've been using it and it's absolutely worthless so far, it deals almost no damage that I can see
Wot. Dump 24 point in it and it becomes tricky because one tick oneshots some enemies preventing it from spreading, forcing you to cast it again on the beefier ones.
But really, get decent vitality damage, max it and its first modifier and watch trash mobs melt, at least up until elite, then I don't know if it holds up well or not. It's dreadful against bosses though.
I found out you could rotate the camera the other day with middle-mouse. Mind blowing, really.
Try it and see. If you are mainly doing cold and vit damage, focus on the first two on the mainline of the skill
Right mouse button.
Alright, I'll try dumping more points into it then. What's the best way to get vitality damage? I'm still trying to figure out which attributes scale with what and what weapon I should be using. Atm I'm just putting points into phys for health and into spirit to meet weapon requirements, and I use anything that gives more speed/damage/health to my summons.
Does casting speed affect channeled skills like AAR or Ignaffar or only the animation start?
So out of curiosity how would I make 2hand Ranged fun in Grim Dawn?
Why not make a general in vg? Does the general really die that fast? Also, I was wondering how you guys determine how many points to put in a skill. I usually just fill it up to half, put 1 point into certain utilities like the shadow strike skills etc.
Incorrect. I frequently play both and my statement is correct. My pc is shit and Grim dawn works better on it than PoE does.
I'm only in the early parts but it's already alot more fun than TQ was.
Probably by going deeeeep into Brimstone.
PoE runs good as long as it is on a SSD.
Everything else doesnt really matter.
One of the rifles with inherent 100% chance to pass through enemies + explosive strike and brimstone
I found this cave that had a level 21 boss guy in it but he was too powerful for me to handle at the time and now that I've leveled up a bit I can't fucking find it again. Anybody know what I'm talking about and where that is?
Primal strike Shaman
