It's a game for literal babies, what do you expect.

Good.
I would prefer it be fun.

>fun is a game without challenge

We know who the minecraft babies are

You're not even trying anymore.

You had to finish 3D Land/World before the challenge started. Just a note.

It's Super Mario World all over again.

No Mario game will top SMB3.

It's a fucking 3D Mario game, of course it isn't hard.

>He hasn't played Super Mario Sunshine

Super Mario Sunshine also isn't hard, it's just annoying.

What gave it away? The giant "Nintendo" logo?

Sunshine isnt hard its just bad

what mario game does?

I have. Good game, but it is not hard aside from Corona Mt. boat controls, sand eagle level, and the leaf insta death river level. The rest of the game is piss easy.

SMB3 is only 'hard' in the last world because the majority are auto scrollers

>a game needs to be challenging to be fun
it's sad that so many people think like this. they are not capable of enjoying video games as a form of art. they miss out on so much pleasure in life.

Supah Mario sixty four

wew

The only thing challenging about that is the camera.

kaizo mario

haha, god damn.

No shit? It's a mario game.

I personally prefer world, it controls nice and levels themselves are really good. 3 is great too, I wish I could force myself through the e-reader levels though.

John Numbers struggled with it, so it must be the hardest game known to man.

not an argument

Source on "Miyamoto doesn't think it's a good game"?

>Hates DKC
>Hates Yoshi's Island
Is this guy supposed to have no taste?

but a game without any challenge could still be fun.

With platformers, it isn't always about difficulty. Sometimes, it's about self-imposed challenges. In particular, speed running. Sure, you can go about the game slow as fuck but safe and never die, but the real fun is beating a game of this caliber in an hour through speed running techniques and the occasional glitching.

Jak & Daxter 1 is so fucking easy its almost impossible to die in one playthrough, but speedrunning that game is an absolute blast. Honestly, I can't think of a single 3d platformer which I would call "difficult." Ratchet games can be hard, but that's less about the platforming, and more about the action and gunplay.

...

My four year old nephew can beat bowser, but loses to the secret levels
Can do a few levels of the original NES version too

speedrunning is autistic, but platforming quickly and recklessly does make those games more interesting a lot of the time

Literally who?

that literally is not true

neither is OPs post nor saying "not an argument"

Mario games are testaments of their console's hardware. They're not meant to progress in difficulty unless the player aims for 100% completion

World is a casual piece of shit that was made cause Nintendo didn't want to make challenging games anymore.

Those aren't games anymore.

Mario Games are never challenging until you've unlocked the world made specifically to fuck your shit in. That's what you 100% it for.

And? I just want to explore a unique, inventive area with a fluid and satisfying move set. The real 3D Marios were never really all that challenging.

I hope it's good because I know several people who are severely hyped for it and refuse to play Hat in Time because they think it'll be too similar and don't want to get into it until they finish Odyssey.

Tell those people they’re retarded. A Hat in Time is waaay too goddamn short to burn you out on anything. It’s a fantastic appetizer and you should tell your friends to stop being faggots. It’s made the wait much more bearable for me.

I think Miyamoto once said something in an interview about how there are some aspects of SMB3's design that he looks back on, wondering why he thought they were okay at the time.

Of course, Sean Malstrom sees the issue in black and white, so he interprets this as Miyamoto hating his own work.

I fucking hate this board

What are horror games for 500, Alex

mario game have never been super challenging till the secret levels you just remember them that way cause you where a kid for SMB through world

>auto scrollers
>hard
ill take shit only casuals say for 1300

More like you had to tediously clean up the entire fucking game before you finally got that one challenging level.
I swear, fuck anyone who uses Champion's Road as an excuse. Unlocking the level is harder because it's so fucking boring collecting all the stars, stickers and gold poles

Not for long though. And a game with a bit of challenge is always better.

Not him. Super Mario 64 isn't the hardest game in the world, but it is far from easy. You just probably grew up with it. If you've ever seen casuals play these games you'd see the difference between a game that is just challenging enough to be engaging, and casual trash. You can even watch game grumps, I don't think they could finish 64, but Dan fucking Avidan got to champion's road

the one with the parallel universes

casuals think cuphead is hard, so your point is invalid.

Miyamoto is a cuck. Fuck him.

I guess the challenge comes from not being a pussy in some cases.

Otherwise resource management, exploration with powerful enemies, and stealth mechanics are usually go to horror game shtick that gives challenge.

The speedrunning scene is gonna be great

Pretty much all SM3 worlds felt the same, this guy just has extreme nostalgia goggles.

>implying mario has ever been challenging

not an argument

Ill probably get it but it does only look ok. I’m less hyper for it then I was for 64 sunshine and galaxies

Outdated :)

They refuse to listen to logic or reason because mario has turned them insane.

Yet you probaly won't pass the part they did at the world cup.
Fuck you probably coul't pass the flower in cup head.

God damn. If people can do this with the 5-10 minute demo, just imagine the full game.

Could probably just be waiting to play Odyssey first. Can't blame them really.

Mario games are always decently easy until you beat the game and go for the hidden/special worlds/stars.

challenges are only boring if you're too dumb to overcome them

>being too dumb for bing bing wahoo challenges

>you had to go through a bunch of boring levels to get to play a few decent ones
