enjoyment
because I have no friends
Because I only enjoy playing multiplayer games with friends.
I think the word you're looking for is autism
just to make you mad :^)
how?
2 here.
Why do you play multiplayer games?
because they have a better superior taste
Because developers have decided that multiplayer games are better as being vehicles for microtransactions than actually being fun video games.
There literally isn't a single really good multiplayer game out there at the moment.
This but unironically. Multiplayer games are always uninspired. Online play was a mistake. Not a single good game made with the intent to be played online has ever been created.
Why do people play games?
>not as repetitive as multiplayer games
>multiplayer games usually have no stories
>multiplayer games usually have mediocre soundtracks
>big multiplayer games have cancerous fanbases
>instead of trying new singleplayer games you are secluding yourself into playing shitty multiplayer games that are probably not worth your time and effort
>multiplayer games expiration date is pretty short considering that you can probably use all game mechanics and see all maps in just a few hours if not less
>multiplayer games are for people who constantly need to stay social because they are completely alone in real life
slither is pretty good
if i can't be the best player i want to be the player that beats the best players
May have something to do with the fact that multiplayer games are only as good as the community, and the gaming community is total fucking shit.
mostly for fun
I'm too good for them
i don't have internet
single player here, what exactly is wrong with the "gaming community"
because in 9/10 cases playing with strangers or my 'friends' decreases my enjoyment of the game
What games do you play OP?
Is Gen Z even capable of enjoying single player games? My 16yo brother barely plays any single player games, but loves typical new age games like minekwaft, 7dtd, Rust, shooter games, etc.
While me as a 26yo faggot have been playing some old school games on the playstation lately and they are still enjoyable. Single player is the standard for older gens while online play is the standard for these kids.
I tried to get him to play some single player rpg's but it doesnt captivate him like Rust or Ark does. It could be the lack of patience or he just likes to play with friends or be competitive.
I'd rather be immersed in a fantasy world in a way that I want to play it.
I second this again.
>consider playing a multiplayer game
>realize that Sup Forums also plays multiplayer games
>will be damned if i ever connect to a server with a Sup Forumsirgin on it
pretty much why i stick to single player
Why are Asian males so fucking unattractive? I just feel sorry for them.
>I'm bad at multiplayer games
Not an argument
this reads like roger ebert criticizing video games because they're not movies
having stories and music are detrimental to multiplayer games
In order to avoid hackers/griefers.
>and music are detrimental to multiplayer games
Most stupid thing i read all week
Why not?
you'll find that out once you have to interact with them in games where that interaction is required
Fighting games
do you want to hear the same track play over and over again when you're playing a game for hundreds of hours? most people just turn it off
is that the hottest meme around right now
>Why do people only play the good games?
God forbid people having fun by themselves.
Fucking this. Was anyone complaining about stage themes in Unreal?
Because I can count on Mario more than I can 70% of the human population.
Because not every game has to be a competition, some single player games offer great experiences and mechanics you can not achieve within the multiplayer versus format.
does he still sit on his opponents to tenderise them before consumption
The quality of a games community depends on the game, even if it sometimes comes down to which flavor shit you want.
This just kinda reminded me of when I had a group for co-op RPGs that actually paid attention to the story and didn't rush everything.
I miss it, that shit was so comfy. These days I really do prefer just playing solo
If the tracks are good enough why not
Occasionally I don't feel like murdering people in multiplayer. Usually play them when I don't have an internet connection.
even the best song gets really fucking tired if you're listening to for that long, especially in long consecutive gaming sessions
>so mad he claims he's just making others mad
kek kekkers
is this a athlete?
>
youtube.com
I've listened to this track endlessly for days on end
Then the song is not good enough
Do you think if he was a chick, and looked genderbent version of himself, would he be constantly hit on and/or laid?
Because I don't give a fuck about playing with other real people in the same areas again and again?
>he goes to dinner alone
>he goes to movies alone
>he watches TV alone
>he plays games alone
i used to love playing fantasy games and getting really immersed but now it feels like a waste of time. a lot of people play video games for the "social" aspect nowadays. if you find a group of friends you really like these repetitive multiplayer games don't get boring.
To me games are singleplayer.
I never had interest in mltiplayer except for splitscreen with people on the same room.
But all they play is shitty sports games so fuck that.
...
Because I want a gameplay experience that doesn't depend on how retarded others playing with me are, or even if I'm retarded I don't want to bring everyone else's game down.
This.
>”I’ll always Bing-Bong-Be there for you”
people are terrible to coexist with
yeah
because you're a mouthbreathing fucking retard and i don't want to interact with you at all, much less hear you mouthbreath into the mic or god forrbid actually hear you speak
You ever see people discuss multiplayer games? 90% of the time it's complaining about something in the game being broken or unfair or about the shitty fanbase ruining everything. And whereas shitty fanbases for a single player game can be avoided entirely, the same is not true for multiplayer.
I suppose it's silly of me to even need to consider that, since you could be a girl juggling bowling pins near videogames and autists would flock in droves.
If I could blog really quick, I'm a chubby chaser. Thiccfag. I suppose the idea of a moon-faced asian pig who plays pro vidya sounded pretty hot to me.
Whatever floats your goat.
Because not every multiplayer game can be as good as Rocket League is. I'm in my late 20s and, as such, don't want to waste massive amounts of my time playing mobas, mmos and shit like ark and rust. The core gameplay is almost always mediocre, there's no story/atmosphere/art design to make up for that fact and it's just not worthwhile to repetitively play the same thing over and over again. Unless it's Rocket League.
That's the weird thing with teenagers today. If you talk to them about games they ask you 'what do you play' and expect you to just say one or two online games that you've pumped hundreds or even thousands of hours into. They can't seem to wrap their mind around consuming games like any other form of entertainment. The idea of just playing it until you beat it or get bored of it and moving onto the next game is alien to them. They don't seem to have the capacity to get bored of braindead repetition.
Time issues you dumbass. Stupid virgin fuck
I don't know if I should be suspicious that Nintendo put a Shiba Inu that looks just like that specifically because of Doge or if I need to chill out.
You ever see people discuss singleplayer games? 90% of the time it's complaining about developers being greedy or lazy or about SJWs ruining everything
Titanfall 2 exists
Because they want an aesthetic experience and to enjoy a game for what it is. Multiplayer video games are literally just a surrogate for sports for people who are too faggoty to actually play IRL sports, it gives online dweebs that dopamine hit normally reserved for when you actually accomplish besting someone in real life. Multiplayer gamers are just failed normies who need the ego boost because they are deficient of any successful competition, it's like game-ified facebook where a bunch of crabs in a bucket all rush to step on each other for their five second endorphin moment in the sun.
>the virgin multiplayer e-sport
>the chad single player experience
Everything that happens in multiplayer games is literally throwaway garbage.
Remember that kill you got 2 days ago? No one cares, no one will ever care, but everyone remembers the stories in singleplayer games.
>everyone remembers the stories in singleplayer games
I dont I just fucking skip through them because they're fucking awful and you have to be 12 years old to find them interesting
I enjoy both :)
Guys, how do I into single player games?
I was playing Divinity Original Sin for like 20 mins, got bored, and started a game of Dota. This happens all the time.
To stay away from fags like OP
I'd ask why people play multiplayer games, they're mostly boring as shit in my opinion. Oh wow I kill random players for 1000 hours, that was fun.
>skip skip skip
>what the fuck am I supposed to do this game is shit
Confirmed 12 year old/Arin
howbout you just tell me
Why do people read books alone?
nah, you learn how to skim-read so you know what to do without listening to the cringeworthy story
Play the retro classics before playing modern games, explore libraries and find games you like.
Seriously there is nothing better than finding out a game that you will love through searching.
thats a cute snake
It's because your taste is so bad you play Dota habitually
you can't have things such as atmosphere and exploration in a multiplayer game
But I love Ck2 and Lucasarts adventures so my taste can't be that bad.
MMOs have both in spades, look at all the faggots who cry about vanilla WoW
>not as repetitive as multiplayer games
I feel the exact opposite. Once I beat a single player game, why should I continue playing? There's nothing left to do except to replay the game. In multiplayer games, the experience is always different because you're playing against different people of different skill levels, leading to different interactions.
>multiplayer games usually have no stories
Well, yeah, stories are for the campaign mode. Mulitplayer/PvP is for battling against other actual people.
>multiplayer games usually have mediocre soundtracks
Doesn't have any importance in terms of multiplayer experience.
>big multiplayer games have cancerous fanbases
This isn't exclusive to multiplayer games.
>instead of trying new singleplayer games you are secluding yourself into playing shitty multiplayer games that are probably not worth your time and effort
That's like the people who hate on sports, but watch tv shows and movies 24/7. They're all a waste of time and effort, but you don't look cool or smart for hating on one or the other.
>multiplayer games expiration date is pretty short considering that you can probably use all game mechanics and see all maps in just a few hours if not less
Again, I feel the exact opposite. Once you beat a game in 10-15 hours, the game is done. Meanwhile, I still play games like Dota, CS, Smash Bros, and Halo every week because the multiplayer experience is still fun for me after more than 10 years in all those games.
>multiplayer games are for people who constantly need to stay social because they are completely alone in real life
I only talk to my friends. Not interested in getting to know others.
Umm, yeah, it really is, sweetie.
try playing your current favourite multiplayer videogame in 10 years you fucking faggot
>MMOs
>atmosphere
LMAO
>Once you beat a game in 10-15 hours, the game is done
maybe you shouldn't play shit games. DF never ends, a lot of games have replay value, I will never get tired of playing arcanum or fallout or elder scrolls or many rpgs, various simulators can be played constantly, racing games, sports games etc.
by "15 hour game" you mean action adventures and FPS. stop playing bad games lmao.
>single-player
>gives you a hand-crafted memorable experience that may go down in history as one of the greatest games ever made
>gameplay is designed to be fun on multiple playthroughs and be enjoyable enough to play without any need for competition
>will always be the same experience, even 100 years into the future
>multiplayer
>vague online trash where your only hopes of having a good time are dependent on a good community, which is near impossible on the internet
>gameplay is unimportant because the only thing keeping you playing is desire to be better than other internet users
>ages like milk, unplayable after a year because nobody else is playing
>tries to squeeze as much money out of each user as possible
Gee, why the fuck do people play single-player games, huh?
I only play R6 Siege, and that's about where I draw the line but yeah, I agree with you other than that.
It's amazing how strong opinionated you can make people by inviting them to argue something so meaningless
Simulators and procedurally generated games have replay value. Fallout is a terrible example. It's only challenging for the first playthrough, and only has enough content to remain interesting for a few more - once you know what to do the game is solved. It has a fixed lifespan
Because the multiplayer game I want to play has really shitty online and crashes a lot
shut the FUCK up you cunt beige is a timeless classic and I will NOT repaint my walls just because some retard on Sup Forums claims otherwise
