Japanese companies were hit the hardest by this and then it got even worse in the following gens with the advent of huge budgets for HD gaming with little return Nipside since nips took a fucking eternity to transition from SD to HD so they looked to try to appeal to "western" tastes with their games and fail to understand that they can't actually compete with western games in that regard and the only thing that made us buy THEIR games was the japanese quirky uniqueness.

And unfortunately the mobile industry prints money because new-gen gamers have shit taste and will settle for mindless grinds where they flick a button until they get stuck and be willing to fork over hundreds of dollars to get unstuck, they found that nostalgia pandering works wonders with FFXIV and they don't give the faintest of fucks about "integrity" as far as their games plots are concerned anymore if it even holds a tiny chance of printing them money.

That's already done at the end of X. Beating X-2 just gives you a longer version of the cutscene at the end of X. It has no reason to exist.

Anyway I got permabanned from Mobius for buying cheap magicite from mag sellers back in August when they did the first ever ban wave since launch and haven't really cared about Mobius ever since, since you've got to be clinically retarded to buy the magicite legitimately considering what a ripoff it is.
I plan on watching all the cutscenes from all the story and event content on Youtube though eventually, probably once Global gets to the ending with Chapter 8.

10 was a great turn based game. 10-2's system, while the best in the series, would not fit in a game with multiple characters and would obliterate the importance of other characters as you just dressphere your favorite team to cover weaknesses and change strategies.

Amazing how SE finds even more ways to fuck up X story, which wasn't even good in first place. A shame because because X and X-2 offer some of the best gameplay and content in the series, except for the cloisters of trials, fuck that shit too.

It's a mobage but it's not actually bad for a mobage. With actual gameplay which already sets it far apart from most popular mobages right now.

It's gameplay is admittedly just a less active Lightning Returns, as is the customization.

I had Aerith supreme, all jobs including legends and pretty much all event and normal cards worth having, it was a Day 1 account.
So as you can imagine, I was pretty fucking pissed when the banhammer happened and I sure as fucking hell ain't dipping into the game ever again. I can still enjoy the parts I liked about it (visuals, story and music) thanks to YouTube and OST.

Final boss theme with Chaos and Chaos straight up going Feral on 4 legs like in Dissidia 012 is some damn cool shit, shame I won't be able to play through it since I was looking forward to that.

its stamina system is pretty generous and at worst it makes you stop long enough to go play something else in the meantime. youll only get pissed if youre literally a poorfag who got nothing else.

There are multiple endings. The 100% completion ending implies that he and Yuna live together in Besaid, and then the scenario writer wrote a bunch of post-canon stories about what they do together. In one of them he dies and is brought back to life by Yuna's feelings for him, but that if he ever learns about that he'll disappear again. In another, it's just a slice of life story where he becomes a famous blitzball player in Spira.

Like whoever mixed for the remake had no fucking clue what he was doing and fucked everything up from instrumentation to percussion. Not really a problem seeing as you can select OST, but I thought I should let you know. Just use the original for the first 3 hours again, once more for the first fight with Seymour in your party and against Yunalesca, and again for the final fight with Seymour, and then ever again.


Aside from that, to answer your question directly, yes it's worth it. And no you don't need to use the classic-style Tidus face mod since in motion it actually looks alright. When taken with screenshots is face looks weird but you'll never have time to linger so the entire thing ends up looking better despite being somewhat worse. It's weird.

Mobius in general really wasn't bad when I played it. Best way to describe the game is that it's a reimagining/sort of prequel/remake of Final Fantasy 1 with Lightning Returns styled mechanics but completely turn based rather than ATB based.
The 4 Warriors of Light are Wol himself, Meia (basically a female black mage figure), Princess Sarah of Cornelia and finally, the Heretic Knight - Garland himself.

FFT Cloud is just someone that could be but 100% isn't the cloud from FF7. Balthier in WoL is actually Balthier and that's now as canon as Revenant Wings despite nobody wanting it to be. Post Matsuno Ivalice Alliance had no clue what they were doing. Which is why they ended up bringing Matsuno back when they finally remade Tactics Ogre: LUCT for the final time. Just a shame that they brought back O Smith as well. What a timeline this is.

the card based combat with elemental orbs is completely new, while LR had traditional weapons and skills

Omega and Gilgamesh are the same Omega and Gilgamesh across every game, the same Ultros from was summoned into FFXIV, and they pulled Cloud from FFVII into Ivalice (probably when he was a vegetable)

The story works as a mystery, feeding you just enough to keep you wanting more without telling you too much at the same time, but it works well.
If I hadn't been banned on that day 1 account of mine I'd still be playing since I was really enjoying the game. Now I just don't have the motivation to start over, having lost everything I have worked for in 1 years time.
But yeah, the game is pretty tight.
