I'd love to see the new playable characters from Tropical Freeze added, Dixie and Cranky would both bring something unique to the table with their abilities.

As for the Fire Emblem situation:
While I'd be sad to see Roy and Lucina's unique properties removed, I think it would be for the best if we had them mashed into a single sword fighter (marth) with them as alt costumes, along with other FE characters. And at the same time, have 2 new FE characters repping Axe wielders and Lance users. Basically Bowser Jr. but with FEs across most games. Inflates your roster by a shitton and pleases all the fans.

A redesigned link based on BoTW. Give him more stuff to differenciate him from Toon Link, who currently does his moveset much better. Or just make BoTW Link his own character.
Make him something like:
Up B- Paraglider
Neutral B- Cycle through/use runes (kind of like Shulk), give the non-bombs relevant effects
Side B- ?
Down B- ?
And have all his Smash moves use durability-based weapons (have him start out with high damage ones, then transition through to the weakest ones as they break), and make one smash and one tilt fire arrows.

Link is one of those characters who has an absurd amount of moveset options, and he has been "shit" since 64, even if I love playing as him. An overhaul could do him good.

I don't know how popular TLink is still in Japan, but I would like a Zelda 1 inspired Link to take his place which had the traditional moveset, and a new BotW Link as you said.

RE5 was very flawed, but has several cool aspects to it, Wesker being one of them.

Cranky is hurting for moves but he does have barrel throwing. In fact they could turn his entire move set into an homage to the original Donkey Kong.

Why not, play BoTW Link like Robin, durability based weapons are stronger but break and require a cooldown before obtaining a new one.
