How the hell am I supposed to beat this boss? Pic very related.

To be fair, you need to be pretty skilled to play Cuphead, the game mechanics are made only for the most hardcore gamers out there. I could easily say it's one of the hardest games on the history, rivalling DarkSouls, maybe harder. But it's not only a fast paced Darksouls level game, it's a masterpiece of humour and storytelling, you need to have a good grasp of dark humour to fully understand and appreciate the experience that this masterpiece gives, if you are not a child from the 30's you will probably not be able to get all the references and will not understand the magnificence of Cuphead.

A ingenious person will never be able to fully enjoy the game. And yes I have a Mugman tattoo, and YES I have a undertale tattoo too from the last fandom, and no you can't see neither of them, they're both for the ladies. That will literally take you through 3/4 of the phases. The last one is a bitch and I only beat it because I got lucky with a few angled charge shots.

Yeah, I'm doin' all that. The first phase is ez-pz. The rest is horse shit because every time I parry the mine cart, I bounce up into the gay ass skelly's fuckin jaw.

Rape train is gery easy with homing shots. He doesent have hard to dodge attacks but the key is decent parrying pumpkin "bombs",

I had more problems with robot.

the final form is the easiest, just fly through the spaces.

It's the last level until I get B&W mode.

Why was the best designed/looking boss the easiest?

just use charge shot.
1st phase you just shoot the pumpkins to keep the cart in place and shoot any eyeballs that are going to hit you.
2nd phase is easy mode, the head never does anything so if you're in front of it you're safe.
If you're not, you can still be at the side of the cart and the hand won't hit you.
3rd phase use your super and then two charge shots to kill the closest lollipop man.
The furthest lollipop man won't be able to reach you now, so just chip away at him while keeping the cart still.
Final boss you parry his tail and hit his heart 3-4 times.

Smoke dash a lot. Also you can parry on the face walls at the end.

I was really confused with this boss because I got to final phase and I was grinding that but I used my super on the robots heart which actually one shotted him. I kinda wanted to beat him the real way, I might as well be super pansy mode homing shots + extra heart

The easiest boss was the pirate, though. I did really shitty on Isle 1, and was surprised I could beat a boss on Isle 2 in two tries.

no joke this was the first boss i beat without taking damage for the first time i beat it. Super easy boss.

He was also one of the easier ones but the boat always gets me.
Is homing shots even useful besides some very specific bosses? I always found it to be way to weak to be worth it.

Honestly surprised so many people had trouble with this guy.

take a look to the OPs image and you'll realize that his first 2 phases have the least amount of health, kind of gives you a clue in when you can play risky and when you have to be consistent.

it's because he mixes up the formula.
You can no longer spam any part of a bosses body and the patterns can back you into a corner if you're not careful.
Then you've got to chip away at the flying head while dealing with those fucking skull bombs.

I'd say he's at least harder than everything up to that point in the game.

Shoot his head antenna first, everytime that the lazer comes go dowm and destroy the little ships and the pink spining thing (aways, or thye will give you problems later). Once you have destroyed the antena you will have a special, used it on the chest of the robot to destroy both his chest and penis at the same time. Then shott the heart

In the secound phase, just trown bombs from above

In the third phase aways use shrink in the last moment to dodge the flying walls

I get it but im still confused as hell.

I'll have you know that after countless trial and error I defeated this boss with ALL 3 lives AND got the perfect run achievement on him.

I just baited his laser out then immediately went for the stomach clearing out the little things he shits out then going for a parry, rinse and repeat. I do tend to feel at home using the shrink mechanic though, I have a feeling people don't use it enough.

Just spin the joystick around really fast, you break out of it in 1-2 seconds. Then transform into a little plane really quick if you have eel pellets flying at you.

the heart is not the second phase, the heart is the first phase still, you destroy his 3 parts so he exposes the hearth.
