A very distinct and memorable video game.
amazing presentation
good story
okay gameplay
horrible puzzles
Jacking off five times a day
Something you'll remember forever whether you love it or hate it.
best suda game
I didn't play Killer 7, but I bought Killer is Dead yesterday because it was cheap, and I got curious about who Suda51 was after seeing devolver digital E3 show.
Should I play wich one first? Are they connected?
They are unrelated games
god-tier boss fights
youtu.be
One of my favorite games of all time
Thanks, senpai!
Killer is Dead is totally different from Killer7 in tone, presentation, and gameplay nor do they have many connections with each other aside from some vague stuff. Just for the love of god don't let how you felt about Killer is Dead prevent from checking out Killer7 because I seriously can not stress how totally different they are from each other.
The greatest game of all time.
Not joking.
It's /ourgame./
One of the most kino games in existence.
Kino
A bizarre acid trip involving deep philosophy, symbolism, politics and power rangers.
I started it a while ago but the gameplay just feels so stale. I stopped playing at the start of Cloudman's level because it just felt so damn repetitive. It's a shame, other aspects of the game seem great but it's just that without fun gameplay it all falls apart.
The graphics and the artstyle are great
The plot isn't as good as most people think. They're messy, unfinished, filled with fillers on the middle act, and on top of that it's confusing as hell. The best parts of the plot is the individual moments which are indeed great.
The gameplay isn't as unique as you might think it is too. It's essentially RE4 on rails with some fixed cameras.
The way I see it is that plot cohesiveness is a necessary evil that Suda uses as a joke.
No More Heroes is the same, people have motives, but they are just there to emulate B-movie twists.
It's all style no substance but in a good way.
An interesting, but not especially fun game.
If it's a joke then I thought it was a bad joke. Ambiguity and abstract surrealism is fine, but in Killer 7 most of them felt like genuinely unfinished and uses the "it's whacky and weird bro!" to mask its unfinishedness. Like the handsome men level where it legit felt like there's an episode they didn't put in the game, because the ending is just abrupt. It's confusing and frustrating.
Suda does able to make good weird shit and use the weirdness to poke fun of video games tropes and its players (just see Flower, Sun, and Rain). But Killer 7 is just awful plotwise that only managed to stay afloat because it looks really great.
YOU'RE FUCKED.
