the only thing i didn't like is that you can't play whichever hero whenever you want, first come first serve.

It got old fast, enemy variety was this games largest flaw, also shitty weapon progression didnt help either.

What I really, really want is for there to be other characters in the world, or in the maps.
It feels like you're the only 4 people left still alive.

As an example, it would have been good to go into the guard house in the Tower of Magnus map, and have a dying guard tell you to sound the horn. Or later in the same map, you see townspeople trying to flee.

I get that the skaven are insanely good at just wiping cities out, but it'd just be good to see some other people in the world every now and then.

yeah, I hope progression will be handled differently. playing 50 hours just to get that one last gun I want gets boring.

l4d2 may have better enemies, but its just hitscan guns and gimmick melee, the combat: the means of engaging those enemies: even if they're better ones, is worse and devalues the experience.
if vermintide does a better job at what valve did right, then with its combat system, it could be better.

- melee combat system lacks depth (spam basic or power attacks, depends on weapon)
- fail aids loot / progression system that gates your friends off from being able to join you on harder difficulty levels
- shitty netcode
- no competitive mode where other players get to control the special rats

They need to fix at least 2 of those negatives to get me to buy this. Or just add a damn versus mode with players taking on the special rat roles already.

Kruber's a practical soldierman of the empire. Why would he ever be a flagellant, or a bretonnian questing knight for that matter? Him being some kind of imperial knight would be cool though, like a Reiksguard-esque guy or maybe a knight of the blazing sun. Flagellant sounds like something Saltzpyre might be up to though.

And why would Kerilian turn into different races? She seems to be either a Waywatcher (default), Wardancer and maybe Eternal Guard.
