Panther and Monhun should have been in the base game. All we got was 4 new characters. And the thing that really gets me is that they could see the anti-X-men backlash immediately. It would not have been hard at all to put, say, Wolverine, Magneto and Deadpool in between now and E3. It clearly would have fostered some good will.

I'm a huge marvelfag and even I couldn't justify this shit, especially when I got UMvC3 on PS4 for only $15. Why did they even release this last month? What the fuck was the rush? The new Thor movie doesn't even come out till next month, if they wanted a tie-in, they could have had another 2 months of dev time.

No, it didn't. It's still in the game. It's just banned in tournaments because Capcom are a bunch of fucktards. MVC1 and MVC2 had infinites that never got banned. MVC3 had 100% combos that never got banned.

It, literally, got patched. It was banned only until they got the patch out.
And "previous games were shit too" is not an excuse.

The patch notes for the October 17th 2017 update (this one) explicitly notes how the properties of moves such as Spider-Man's Web Ball are changed so that it wouldn't work.

I think when literally every marvel game is busted as fuck you have to accept that this shit happens.

There is no excuse to not fix the most stupid shit on this god's year of 2017 where the concept of patching and fixing games post launch is common practice.

MonHunW and SFV after the AE update all look pretty good, RE7 was good too, Dragon's Dogma was probably their only in-house game before that which was also pretty nice.

The core of MvCI is good too, it just lacks new content and sadly it won't get it for free like with SFV unless they are planning to do some big "apologizing" free update.

The game still sold and the only time it gets a shoutout is in mockery. Giving it a costume, that actually looks pretty decent, is only massively insulting to crybabies who think that this means DMC is dead and Capcom hates them for delivering content to fans of a game they don't like.

You don't have to like, or buy, every costume that comes out. You can also just buy the ones you like and ignore the rest like a normal person.
