The integrity of this once great series fucking matters. It's personal.
They were fucking life changing experiences and now Shitthescuck has dumbed them down to nu-game artifical fun grinding crafting, shit story plasma gun upgrader bullshit skyrim ripoffs.
You literally CANNOT insult the original creators any harder, they EXPLICITLY went and created games that are about what the original creator LITERALLY said it Fallout is not about.

If they're not going to take the time to think about and properly engage in the medium, then it is their fault
I'm not saying that you should apply critical thinking to literally everything, because sometimes it is fun to just "turn off your brain", but people need to recognise that if their participation is purely passive then their opinion isn't worth shit

Sabotaged out of the metacritic bonus pay by Bethesda.

Fallout was never that great tbqh. The RPG system is nothing special, the story is really generic. It's always been somewhat mediocre and its main appeal is the setting, which is good, and the "humor", which mostly just consists of inside jokes and references. If the original Fallout were made today it would be full of memes and Sup Forums would think it's disgusting.

No excuse for the shit QA or post launch support, but the deadlines were something they agreed to and they could have had more if they need it (or cut the game down, which they ended up doing), and the bonus was just that: a bonus they didn't even expect or ask for.
Plus without gamebryo we'd never even get NV. The game being a glorified mod for 3 meant they had the time and budget for everything we got. There's no way Bethesda would have funded an entire new game in a new engine

The problem is their tremendously limited exposure. It's hard to think critically about something when you've never experiences something better to compare it to.
