Thoughts on the FF12 remaster? Worth it for $35?
Thoughts on the FF12 remaster? Worth it for $35?
Yes
No, XII is awful in general. Never play any FF after IX, it's a waste of time
whens it coming to PC?
The game is good, especially after that QoL additions to Zodiak Age.
People saying the story is dull. Those people are dull.
It's pretty good, I guess. For some reason, it does not feel as complete as the original game though. Also there's an insane amount input lag which makes the game really difficult in particular areas.
Calling it: late 2018.
They nerfed the story sections wau too fucking hard.
Hunts feel just as challengingvat least.
4x speed makes 12 a better game.
Still in my top 3 FF games, along with 6 and 7
I bet 2018
>Input lag
Never noticed it. Maybe your controller is effed?
Also, well worth it for another go around. I really like the addition of the dual-class system.
0/10 no GNU/Linux client
If you liked or had any interest in FFXII in the first place, it's a good remaster and makes a pretty good game much better.
If you didn't like FFXII or weren't that interested in it, the remaster doesn't really make it worth playing.
If you didn't notice it you may have actual brain problems. I can't recall if it is worse than the originals but it is 100% there and immediately noticeable.
I did 2 play through. I wouldn't have bothered with it if they didn't have the fast forward button.
Not him but there definately is noticable input lag.
It feels deliberate, in fact, to encourage use of the Gambit system
I wish you could make more complicated gambits
And also equip a second weapon.
it's great.
yes.
>Only based guest characters can hold two weapons.
Probably. FFX came to PC. I just think FF won't come to the XBOX because apparently FFXV and Type-0 flopped on the One.
The input lag is too significant for you to not notice it. Especially when you're trying to chain the mist attacks and fighting against that timer. There's so much of it that the timer is effectively smaller in the remake.
no its not worth $35 it should be about $20 since the improvements are not that great and just make the game easily broken 2 jobs per character breaks the game
Are you required to have 2 jobs?
That actually makes the game a lot harder, not that it's a difficult game to begin with. The original game had no class restrictions and everyone could do everything, all the time.
No, but you should.
expect it, but don't bank on it.
possibly soon. they've been releasing lots of ports to PC, and I'd assume it's easier doing a direct port than a PS1 remaster.
could be harder though, and there's title issues to work around.
wrong.
izjs was the perfect balance imo. i think allowing 2 jobs was their way of addressing complaints that izjs was too hard unless you chose the right classes, which is dumb anyway
Well, if you're not required to pick 2 jobs then I don't see a problem with self-limitation.
Never played that one. We didn't get it in the States.
emu, user. like nearly everyone else.
