Don't most BRs and shit pirate the vast majority of their games

Yes

I'm brazilian and I pirate everything but japanese games :3

probably, but stilll is a relevant market

you pirate and save for PC parts in the meantime so that you can actually play pirated shit
or you play trash like LoL or other shitty f2p games that require toaster

I pirate games that run on my toaster

By pirating everything and buying it if I like it, also being super critical of the games I find fun. Not everyone is the same though, most people either just plays league/smite/doto or has a console with fifa or pes

i am well accommodated for being in mexico, i can buy almost any gamne i want, but recently decided to pirate some games because what used to cost 900 pesos now cost 1200 pesos thanks to the rise of the dollar prices and the devalution of the mexican peso.

Well I suppose they can't just pirate multiplayer games since most of those you need to hook up to the servers

you play P2W games like Gunbound and MapleStory.

or ragnarok online pirate servers.

I built a PC and shitpost about consoles.

>everything is expensive as fuck
>get pc that is a mix of dated technology and decent parts
>draw porn for paypal bucks
>use paypal bucks to buy games on steam
>leftover bucks are used to buy newer parts for my pc

I'm in SE Asia and if there's official distribution of a game console here, it would be the NTSC-J one. If the console is region-locked, we would be officially fucked because no one speaks Japanese. This has become less of an issue though these days.

Most popular multis here are usually MU, RO, MapleStory, League, Dota, SMITE and if they buy any multiplayer game is usually some car game or csgo

Why people would expose their expensive computers for playing crack games?
Everybody knows that if yoy download pirate games you have a great risk of a malware that csm damage your hardware

seems you got it all figured out , huh pablo?

You fucking cunts don't get it. You don't need to play video games and then bitch about the hobby being expensive. We've earned our right to slack off and play video games because we have built our countries that way. Instead of being lousy cunts on the face of the earth and trying to move where it's nicer you should study and work your whole life so one day your shit country could get out of the third world status and when you've put in your work then one day you can retire and play some video games.

By being completely aware it is a luxury in my country and doing smart buys whenever possible. Steam sales/Humble Bundles for PC and buying second hand for consoles and their games since they are cheaper that way. Pirating (on Nintendo platforms because I'm a Nintendork) was common for me in the past but now I have a better job so I buy them new from whatever the cheapest source is available

By not being poor.

> he buys physical releases
literally why? You're paying for the store's taxes and shit, just buy digital and with a credit card with an exchange rate below 19mxn.

Yes, BRs pirate so much that back in the ps1 days we had like 94% piracy rate on videogames.

I still pirate everything I can, but I do buy stuff if it can't be pirated.

There's no point not to pirate desu.

Video games are essentially a pyramid scheme designed to milk money off of westerners.

>be a stingy fuck
>spend only when absolutely needed
>pirate
>buy less than 5 games a year, not even full price
I can survive with 20 bucks a week no problem. Fortunately my dad is able to pay the bills with ALL the money he gets. Literally what's a job

>first world countries letting third world ones stop being shit
Every time someone tries to not they get pushed away by (((them))) so the economy cogs keep spinning

I guess? I don't really think about that sort of stuff, I just want to play games without paying.

Isn't everything in a third world expensive anyway?

Everything but labor hand :^)
Thats why multinationals come here and offer jobs to freshmans or people that is doing a career to later be threathened that completing his education and getting a degree would make him lose his promised job. Thats why everyone who has a degree now leaves the country because shit will never change

Sure, but if you're ever presented with a choice in which you're willing to spend money on a video game, the answer should be no. Because one: the prices are artificially inflated, and two: your purchase doesn't actually matter as you are not part of the main demographic.

all of Nordic countries are ''3rd world'', and we got things better than burgerland.

yes because games there are treated as Casino based games since the 80's, and it got worse after the new constitution

in fact they pretty much pay 90% of taxes because of that, and the government doesn't give a fuck, mainly because they need money to pay their sons porshes in Germany, also years of autistic indoctrination coming from crazy left teachers from Rio and Sao Paulo spreading aground the country made everyone dumb, because Being fucking miserable and POOR is good, and being rich to help your family and country is bad, and its worse because Tv novels and shows keeps forcing that up everyone's throats, in fact the latest novel is making criminals looks like untouchable superstars and gods who's life is easier because they sell drugs and steal people, and the police cant do nothing because Said indoctrination made people hate them.

in fact, everyone who lives in Sao Paulo and Rio states are nothing but a Bunch of Real life Tyrone Biggums, and most of the country's problems comes from there
>youtube.com/watch?v=4vr5PkXjLF4

>it's expensive

>work minimal wage ~$2/hr
>never eat fast food or snacks / juices
>basically always home cook
>never smoke or drink
>don't own a car (public transport is $6/mo)
>have ~1000 Steam games and 100 up/down internet for $8/mo
>any excess funds at the end of the month get saved (usually about $20-40 or so)
>at some point in savings I get more stuff
S'okay.

Why is the highest edition the lowest price?

Forgot to mention I have literally no friends outside my colleagues so I never get out, and I always refuse invites (they stopped inviting me anyway), so absolutely no money wasted there either. It's a simple life.

what awful currency is that?

Where are you?

no, just the imported stuff

California

Romania.

I just go and buy everything I want, that´s it.
Being a gamer in a third world country is exactly the same as being a gamer anywhere else.
Go get a job, lazy bastard.

with piracy

60 dollars is like a quarter of what we earn in a month

>be poor
>shit country
>better prioritize being a gamer

idiots

inb4 everyone deserves to play games. no they dont. fuck off.

Build 300$ APU system and play older and lightweight games

Doesn't really sound too bad unless you'd prefer to be social. I live in the states but I also don't smoke/drink/go out and I have no desire to.

Disgusting chileans dont buy anything.

its actually painful being below minimun wage in first world country and can't pirate

boohoo

tfw 0.8$/hr

Fuckistania

in brazil you either go pc or you go home (unless you're rich and stupid enough to afford console gaming, which is about 5x more expensive)

games are usually not much more expensive on pc, but companies like bethesda likes to be retarded and think they can sell digital shit for 200 bucks and sell more than 4 copies

yes, but places like steam and gog support the local currency, so sometimes I buy stuff

the fact this country generates over 1 billion dollars is crazy tho

I don't buy a console unless i can homebrew it. I also play a lot on steam because of the free multiplayer, cheap steampesos and huge discounts during sales. The last resource is pirate the game.

Not him, but the digital prices here are the exact same as the physical ones in stores

South America, Chile. My wage is 822 USD monthly, 2.3 times the minimum (net) wage.

I pirate every single player game and only buy multiplayer games on Steam.

Games here tend to have the same prices as in the US. e.g. a $40 game there is around 11% of our minimum wage. Ouch.

Mexico is the most important vidya market in Latin America so games are cheaper compared to South American countries

I almost never pirate cause Steam games are pretty cheap and you can travel to USA and buy cheap PC parts
