metacritic means nothing no matter what. same for sony games same for nintendo games. metacritic means nothing.

journalists dont know shit and neither does the masses. YOU matter. make up YOUR mind.

>implying mouso games will ever be good
Huge Zeldafag here, I got bored of Hyrule Warriors in 30 minutes. I tried really hard to like it because of all the fan service, but I just couldn't do it.

That's 93 with the Nintendo Bonus. Better than Odyssey.

>he doesn't like mouso games
Nice shit taste bud

Can someone remind me why Sup Forums cares about "critic" scores again?

If it was a good game, no one would have a bad opinion of it.

I think the only reason I would play a mouso game is if it were about the Power Rangers

People will always find a way

Fuel to carry on & sperg out. The same goes for people desperately trying to disregard reviews as well. Just insufferable faggots zilching out.

That's just tumblerina's being pissed that they aren't attractive.

Bayo is a thot.

fpbp

This is par for the course for musou's man, relax. The games aren't for everybody and it generally shows in the reviews, Just play and keep it moving.

Critic scores for Musou games tend to be low, because "muh braindead grunts", which is a complaint that misses the whole point of these games.

Now, if one gets a really high metacritic score, then that's generally worth taking notice of. More practically, you should see the opinions of people who like Musou games generally.

That would be tits

Good, I'm glad that trash is bombing in scores.

Fucking DLC shitfest with nu-FE characters only garbage

Well metacritic has meaning for industry people tho. That's what decides how high your bonus will be or if you simply get to keep your job in many companies.

So yeah for us it means nothing, but it does mean something for people depending on it.

More like musou games aren't for Metro.UK with his 40/100.
He is just a Musou hater and not only with this games but will all musou games. They should delete their review based only with hate

It's a good game, at least.

lol

Just out of curiosity, what is the point of these games?
I mean I love Musou games don't get me wrong.

The game deserves that score, weebshitter.

Based

What's the point of the games then, legit curious.

>Even musoufags understand their games aren't that good
>Nintendo related musou gets bad score
>*autistic screeching*

That kinda happened.

>Nintendo related musou gets bad score
DW 8 and others on ps4 got 4/10 by MetroGames.
They just hate the genre. Of course Musou and Nintendo fans are angry.

Well the grunts aren't meant to be the challenge. Bosses and the changing field situation are. Grunts are just to get your score up and to clear out fields in a certain amount of time to help with objectives.

i want one but of Kamen rider but made by the Sengoku basara dev team

Yeah sounds about right. Worth the exception of maybe Attack on Titan, these games all play about the same. So what becomes the draw? The franchise, of course. Good thing FEW was based off of a long-standing franchise with a wide and beloved cast of characters that drew in all of its fans!

Oh wait

>JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE A GAME DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET TO WRITE A BAD REVIEW FOR IT

stop me

No thanks. Just play Battride War.

>Defending 20 Swords:The game

I don't understand why MetroGames keeps reviewing Musou games

It's obvious they hate them all, yet they always have to say 4/10 each time.

Everyone already knew it was going to be shit, this is old news. What we should really be talking about is Nintendo's awesome idea to release it a fucking week before Odyssey launches.

ign.com/articles/2010/10/12/sengoku-basara-samurai-heroes-review

That's nothing. Try some real rage.

So I actually looked at the score breakdown on the Metacritic page. It looks like this

> Handful of 8.5's
> A whole bunch of 8's
> A few 7's
> A 6 from Gamespot
> A 4

So I get the impression more that this game is around an 80 in quality, but a couple really low-end scores drag the total score down. There's also an unscored Eurogamer review that seems to have glowing praise for the game.

>buy the game, goy, your favorite characters will be *reasonably* priced DLC eventually!
>lmao jk fag here's another , just buy the game and maybe we'll make another game with the characters you want

It's a musou game. You should not be giving a crap about the score in the first place. You know exactly what you're getting way before the game is released.

If it makes you feel any better GT Sport is getting shit on too.

>JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE A GAME DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET TO WRITE A BAD REVIEW FOR IT

But user
That's literally what reviews are.

FE fans are starting to become as whiny as Metroid fans.

>2010

These were the pre-Dynasty Warrior 8 days, when major review sites were pretty much required by law to shit on Musou games, no matter what.

All the reviews can be summed up as 'A great musou game, but unfortunately it's still a musou game.'

this fucking game
I got it after i finished the Anime mfw it was one of the most fun experiences i had in a hacking slash, fucking Ieyasu boxing everything with the power of friendship

I’m tired of Musous playing the niche genre card when the exact same flaws are inherent in every Musou game and they’ve never evolved the formula past button mashing monotony and awful map design. Games like DMC, Bayonetta, and MGR have made the Musou genre obsolete. I’d even say I prefer Arkham style combat to Musou because at least you’re engaged to the point of reacting and counteracting whatever the game’s throwing at you. Musou combat is like mowing a giant lawn but with other guys yelling at you to mow the north lawn as more grass grew there while you were mowing the south lawn. Then you run over a dog turd, then the dog turd says “I must leave the battle, for now...”
>Dog Turd temporarily retreats!
>100,000 Blades of Grass mowed!
>John Deere Mower: “Haha! Looks like these old blades of mine still got it!”
>Koei Lawn Service Morale has improved!
>Leafblower-Chan: “Wow Mower-san! Your technique is unmatched. I’ll try and do my best too!”
Leafblower-Chan proceeds to run in circles in an empty base for the rest of the battle.

If haters review should be removed because they are biased, then same for those of lovers, it goes both ways

Pretty much. Nowadays, unless it's a reviewer that has been known to enjoy Musou games, I generally add a point on to the score for my own personal tastes.

You say that like Lawn Mower Musou wouldn't be GOTY.

it's a Musou game, it's obviously going to review like a Sony First Party exclusive

The games are shallow mediocrity. Good for nothing more than a quick blast

>game is bad
>get low score
baaaaaaaaaaaaawww if u hate why du yu reviuww the bidio geim????? staaaphh! ò.ó!!!

Fanboyism and "MUH ROSTER" aside, what mechanically was the worst Musou?

Shit man, I'd play the game you described

So does that mean you can only write a review for something if you like it? That's fucking stupid. Of course people who don't like something write bad reviews about it. Stop being so insecure that you need critics to validate your opinion.

Roster is literally the only important thing about a modern musou. Gameplay has been fossilized in an acceptable form forever. If your roster is shit, your game is shit.

Basically this.
The closest any musou ever got to ACTUAL innovation was when you had to throw bombs into the dodongo's mouth in Hyrule Warriors.

Otherwise, there's basically zero engagement. It's fun for the first half-hour until you realize that the game never deviates from that formula, ever, and then you move on.

Either Hyrule Warriors or Pirate Warriors for me.

DW6

i would play this

You stupid white boy.

ken rage 2

S my D, N.

Post face, faget.

Well, they're trying with the weapon triangle and the pair up elements with this. More tactical decisions about where to send your units is was my biggest desire for a new musou, so hopefully they pull it off

I'd agree with this. Mechanically best, though, I would say are Gundam 3 and Reborn. Adding boost and air juggles helps out the gameplay mechanics a ton. And I know 1 and 2 had those, too, but they were really at their best in 3 and Reborn.

That one had a bretty gud roster though.

>The Three Kingdom descendants open rival lawn services in modern day rural Asia.
>The final level is a 18 hole golf course. >Lu Bu’s descendant uses a double-sided weed whacker.
>”For everyone to know the smell of fresh-cut, dew-tipped grass in the mornings, that is my ambition.”

These games are objectively bad

>Mouso game is shit
>FIRE EMBLEM mouso game is shit

what a surprise

The dlc will release over a year or more so it won't really matter when it releases

Leafblower-chan is my waifu

Metacritic is useless for gauging actual quality though. Reviews themselves are only good for showing if the control scheme is usable, and even then that's suspect. Forming one's own opinions rather than substituting in an amalgam of other's opinions is something that should be more prominent.
Game still looks like shit though, not really a musou fan.

even nintenbros think this game was a mistake
you're not btfoing anyone

Kamen Rider is the F-Zero of Sentai.

Mad nintenpleb. Learn to understand that when a niche game like musou gets a Nintendo license doesn't magically make it 10/10, musou games are treated like garbage here.

Unless you know a reviewer who has the same taste in videogames as you reading reviews is pointless for the most part, given nowadays you can just go to Youtube and see for yourself if the game is for you or not.

Didn't mean to reply, sorry.

Sorry nintenbro but I'm firing up my vpn's and sock puppets to bomb that user review score into the ground

They just want attention and some idiots right know are defend them about this. Porbably musou haters all of them.

metro.co.uk/2017/10/18/fire-emblem-warriors-review-almost-mediocre-7009245/

Heyyy, for a mouso 73 is actually alright.
Considering they're never popular with Journos this might be just as good as Hyrule Warriors.

Fuck off faggot a musou game doesn't deserve a good score.

to be honest what drawn me to the first musou was the over the top rock music coupled with insanely retarded dialogue and absurd animations and movesets

fire emblem musou takes itself way too seriously desu

a 73 for a musou game is like a 85 for an indie game

It would be better if Metro never review musou games..

Essentially if you're open to the idea of a Musuo game not being awful it's pretty good, if not then it's another Musuo game trying to destroy your life and the world of gaming (good job metro reviewer).

>Buying/Playing any 'Musou' that isn't their flagship ROTK/Dynasty/Sangoku musou title

KEK

>Games like DMC, Bayonetta, and MGR have made the Musou genre obsolete.

Any idea how this game is on the 3ds?

Also, im pretty pissed they didn't include Alm, Roy, or Ike.

I mean what the flying fuck?

>this is what musoutards actually believe

musou to DMC/bayonetta is like super smash bros brawl to fighting games

Can't wait until the next few hours roll by and I see a post with a random game with an 85+ green score with the title "Apologize right now, Sup Forums"

maybe if they had characters from a good Fire Emblem game it would have been better.

>I came to whine on Sup Forums to say this instead of saying this to the number of journos who do this
So you're whining, basically
Good job on being a whiner

I see this opinion all the time. It’s wrong.
Cheers!

Why are people defending this game? It IS really bad.
It has
>awful graphics and frame rate compared to HW which is like 4 years older and only on wii u, seriously, compare Camilla's hair or Celica's to Ganondorf's. Also, there are the infamous stock image backgrounds. You can argue about ""style"" for the other points, but that is just jarring as fuck.
>awful animations, game seems unfinished.
>an awful roster with a ton of clones, which really sucks since roster is one of the only reasons people play these games.
>even for a musou, the movesets are uninspired and boring.
>terrible story and voice acting
>terrible OCs
>History mode exists to pad out content but is all the same shit, glad reviewers have been seeing through this
You have to really force yourself to like this game in order to like it. You seriously have to constantly be thinking, "damn, this is the Warriors spinoff we have been waiting for! Damn it's so good I promise! It even has Fates and Awakening" in order to actually like it.
It deserves a 65.

nigga it's a musou, did you expect anything more than a 80?

Anime shit doesn't deserve anything above 5 so be happy with that score

I thought blue ranger used a spear?

>JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE A GAME DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET TO WRITE A BAD REVIEW FOR IT
Literally "stop saying mean things about Nintendo"

Ehh, but it's fun which is honestly what matters to me. I still baffles me that people cling to reviews as a way to purchase a game since everyone has different experiences. Harping on every little thing and whatnot gets old I bet, I can't imagine what else you tear apart to the point nothing is enjoyable. But hey, everyone has a right to say whatever.

>include ever Fates royal
>make some of them moveset clones of other characters or each other
