Over 15 years later and it's still the best Zelda game.

I'm not used to people having a valid opinion on this board, well done user.
>15 years later
>some people still dont realize skullkid killed deku butler's son and fused his soul into link's body
And is better than the remake
but that's not OOT ?? !! !?

Contrarian who lets other people determine his opinion

I thought everyone already knew that
They do, but le lore fags need an excuse to post their "deep" images.
I find it pretty crazy how such a great and unique came out because they wanted to RUSH out a sequel to ride the success coattails of OoT. Sounds like something that should be doom to disaster. Instead the exact opposite happened.
You mean 2nd worst
Because Aonuma didn't have time to fuck it up with pointless shit.
What do you consider the worst?
But who is the one playing guitar in the credits meant to be?
thats no ocarina of time though
this guy gets it
I finished the Deku dungen and got to Goron one but i just stopped playing.
Game is not really hard or something but i'm just not autistic enough to play around the diary and three day cycle etc.
Its not even top 5.
I always have trouble getting into this game.
Played it release in 2000. Coming off of OoT I grinned through my teeth telling myself it was great but something felt off.
I attempted to replay it various times, I even bought the remake on 3DS, promising myself "this time it will click" but it never does.
There's alot of things I love about the game. The vibe, the atmosphere, the music. But the time travel mechanic always grates with me.
I like to play Zelda games at a leisurely pace, taking my time to explore as I please. But MM's design forces the player to focus and get shit done before time runs out. I know you can slow time down but there's still a literal ticking clock onscreen - it unnerves me and robs me of fun.
But here's the thing - I objectively know the game is good. The problem is just me. I'd rather play BotW any day because it gives me what I want; leisurely exploration.
>tfw always felt free to explore Termina.
link, and the band thinks its Mikau
in majoras mask, the gorons think Link is Darmani and the zoras think he is Mikau.
But the deku butler knows that link isnt his son, although link reminds him of his dead son
>presents clock
>feels time pressure without any actual time pressure
life scarred you.
you never had a chance.
Agreed desu
iktfb
>that entire hour+ segment where you're forced to play as Deku link
no thanks
>youtube.com
>youtube.com
My favourites.
I have no recollection of that scene in the bottom right.
It's one of the scenes that plays during the credits
Do you freeze up and panic at 2D Mario games too?
I really don't understand the psychological problems people have with the clock. You can reset it at any time.
Not him, but I'd guess it's to do with losing all the progress that you've made. Which screws over the denizens of Termina.
There's generous milestones and checkpoints that you retain through the reset though. I don't understand being afraid of a time limit on principle when you're never going to run out of time.
The time element is there to add an extra dimension to exploration.
Literally every single person who's ever played this game knew this.
>hour+ segment where you're forced to play as Deku link
>not skipping time with the grandma and scarecrow, then doing a gainer to reach the Clock Tower platform
Faggot
shut the fuck off
If they ever make a BoTW 2 it has chance to beat majora's mask. Until then, majora will remain the king
Botw is one if not the most flawed zelda game out there. So many things are wrong with this game but at the same time, a lot of it is sooo good. For me it ended up being an enjoyable.experience playing it but it was far from being a master piece like many claim. If they continue in the same direction for the next zelda, chances are the next one might be a mster piece.
