Game has multiple endings

>game has multiple endings
>game has a sequel and only one is canon

>Game with choices has sequel on the same platform
>Choices in last game don't carry over

>multiple endings
>changed only by a binary choice in the last 5 minutes

>this happens
>people bitch about ABLOOBLOOBLOO WHY WASN'T MY SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE ENDING THE CANON ONE REEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Bonus points if the thing they wanted was to kill a character that isn't dead in the sequel.
These legitimately rustle my jimmies.

>mfw they do

But it was really dumb to bring back that ginger girl in Dragon Age 2 when you have the option to cut her head clean off her shoulders.

>game has multiple endings
>sequel doesn't follow from any in particular and shit doesn't make sense
>other sequels follow from the bonus joke ending of the original

I cannot wait for bravely third to show us the canon choices in the Edea sidequest

I considered inb4ing that specific example, but eh.

>game has multiple, mutually exclusive ending
>all of them are canon in the sequel

what the fuck was ion storm thinking

>multiple endings
>decided by a random number seed each time you load a save

FUCK

>game has conclusive true ending
>still leaves open stuff that will never be resolved

>sequel follows the ending of the last game
>the bad ending of the last game is canon

>Game hacked your election

>game has multiple options
>still yields the same result / only one choice is allowed

>game has 6 different endings
>game gets 6 different sequels expanding on each ending
Oh wait that would be retarded.

Drakengard 2 is so shit

>game has multiple endings
>none of them are canon

>game has multiple endings
>every ending is canon
>LOL IT'S JUST MAGIC I AINT GOTTA EXPLAIN SHIT
Kirkbride is a hack

>game has multiple endings
>sequel makes an ending you couldn't get canon

>game has multiple endings
>none of it matters because the sequel takes place in an alternate timeline

>game has choices
>are locked to dialogue options that are exactly like normal dialogue options

CHIM makes perfect sense user

{[][¬€~##@#||@|@\\\\ZZZ

Dragon Breaks are not CHIM
>CHIM makes perfect sense
yeah if you're on drugs

>not making 15 sequels at the same time
lazy devs

>game has multiple endings
>sequel follows from an ending that got cut during development
>remake plans to include said ending
>remake is vaporware

>being too much of a brainlet to understand zero-summing

>Game has multiple endings
>In the sequel they spend 2 seconds recognizing your choice then regardless force you down one path.

>game has sequel baiting ending

That can be a good thing though

XCOM 2, what else?

no

>game has multiple endings
>all are canon

>>game has sequel baiting ending
>it was a game full of TECHNOLOGY and gameplay experimentation
>it doesn't sell
>trilogy dies with the first game
Heroes of Annihilated Empires

>something happens in the sequel that makes the first games ending all for nothing

>he doesn't realize that life is about the journey, not the destination

Shit destinations can really screw the journey.

What if the journey is utter shit

>game has multiple endings
>you kill a nameless goon in self defense
>get the bad ending
At least MGS1 let you kill a few people to get Big Boss rank.

name one (1) game

>game has multiple endings
>defending yourself from violent threats gives you the bad ending

>last game in a series
>multiple endings each with their own distinct effects and implications

>Game has a Chuuni edgelord sniper and a loud country girl sniper who can end up together if you do a sidequest where you set them up on blind dates with eachother.
>If you do this there’s even a small extention to the epilogue where everyone takes a group picture at their wedding
>In the sequel not only was this canon, but they had a qt daughter who has both her father’s chuuni traits and her mother’s country bumpkin tendencies.
>If you have a save from the previous game they also have the wedding picture framed, and the appearance of the MC from the first game carries over in the picture.

There's nothing wrong with this and people need to get over it.

Not that user but CHIM is fucking lazy explanation for whatever bullshit happens in the game. It's the same as all these "reality warping" characters in comics, who are just there to change continuity when writers need to resurrect some dead characters or whatever.

Is this shit real? What game does it?

Please sauce

It’s not real.

dammit user

...

Sorry, I’ve been on a roll lately with making people want games that will never exist. I really should learn to just stop posting shit like that and stop giving people false hope.

No I enjoyed reading about. It's more interesting than 95% of posts I read here. And frankly I enjoyed the brief ruse cruise.
