Never. If the delay was to fix it on consoles and add it to PC, THEN I could maybe excuse this bullshit, but it never is. In fact, I doubt Halo 6 will come to PC in the end even though MS said it would.

Nothing yet, but 343 recently said they are going to add 4K to the game for Xbone X as well as "fix the issues" the game has in 2018.

Not joking, I bought an Xbox One Elite to play this (and also to get the controller for my PC)

I bought the Xbox One and then got Rare Replay and brought it home.

After literally an entire day of "updating" before I could even use the fucking system at all, I finally got in and stuck in rare replay. It took 50 minutes to install Banjo Kazooie.

When it finished installing, I booted into it, and it said it had to do a 1GB update.

Then I learned that Master Chief Collection was 50GB and like another 20GB you had to download.


Nevertheless, I still have that Xbox One elite. about 1 hour of use. Sitting in it's box. Never to be used again.

What a complete fucking piece of shit of a console. PS4 installs my copy of BB in like 20seconds, and then I'm playing.

Xbox One spends fucking an hour installing ANYTHING.

Halo online fucking sucks. Glitches all over the place and all 20 of the playerbase are diehard neckbeards who memorize power weapon timers.

There's no such thing as an Xbox one elite. I could play mcc as soon as I put the disk in within like 5 mins. The time between ps4 and Xbox one installations is the exact same to me and I own both consoles.

Thats one good thing about concole shooters. Most people are casuals, so I can just pick it up and have fun without trying. Fucking pc shooters are hard as fuck because of hacks and actual robot people flicking headshots like putting butter on bread. I'm not interested in being the best at a shooter, so it fucking sucks playing against try hards for me.

I literally own an Xbox One Elite, you retard. It was called "Elite" and packaged with the elite controller when it first came out.

This was AGES after Xbox One even released, it was the new 1TB model.

you can get the same autoaim experience from (bad) PC games. For example, the Halo ports all keep the aggressive autoaim intact.

i cant even play call of duty 4 remaster because its like bf1, spawn die repeat, i take a step out of spawn and already theres 3 enemies with their guns already firing at me.

wtf is this bullshit this never happened in cod4 on the 360 there was never this amount of spawn die repeat, this fast!! its like they upped player movement and damage for the remaster...anyone else experiencing this?

MCC worked on launch for the campaigns and most of the issues with the networking were fixed a few months later.

People vastly over-exxaggerate how buggy the game is now. It's been functional and only abut as buggy as most games on launch for about 2 years now. Also I played MCC litterally a week ago and got fairly fast matches in matchmaking.

My time is valuable. When a system out of the gate shows me how much waiting is going to be involved, it's not worth it.

I immediately cut my losses and put it back in it's box in hope that someday later it would get some magical patch that just turns it into a useful windows 10 pc box.

It's only getting fixed because MS realised they're bringing out a new console with zero decent games. Their exclusive line-up at the moment consists of a bi-annual Forza reskin and a Crackdown sequel that's forcing 'Games as a service' bollocks and loot boxes.

I literally just got some assassins creed game on the Xbox and I could play it within a matter of minutes. Only Xbox 360 games can't be played until fully installed but that's a thing with 360 games and how they're stored on the disk. With current gen games on both Xbox and ps4 you can play start the game pretty much within 5 mins of putting the disk in as the game files are structure that you can start playing the first bits of the game as it installs. The only game I've actually had to wait 30+mins to play was fifa 17 on the ps4 where you can only play some demo match with like 5 teams whilst the full game installs.

But Act Man told me it's broken as shit to this day

why i got my xbone s after i got my pc built and had a ps4. i only have like 4 games outside of the games for gold shit

i quit around the time halo 5 came out because some system update broke the game. perhaps i'd get MCC but i already have halo 1/2 pc and halo 3, 4, and 5 which all work on xbone due to backwards compatibility.

God forbid you ever have to wait for patch day on a multiplayer game where their servers are fucking up. I can't imagine all the many titles that have been uninstalled on your system. Fuckin get over yourself ya nerd.

Nothing. Some of my most enjoyable experiences this gen were playing mcc with Sup Forums and I could match up with Americans/euros no problem. I've never actually experienced matchmaking problems ever since the initial ~1st month when the servers were broken. All of this is new to me. I have about 5000 kills in online matches iirc.

there is no huge match making issues anymore, the issues are still huge because a lot of the features in the old games do not work in this game. You can even have games start before everyone loaded in the map

Consider the following:
Not everyone at microsoft and 343 is a piece of human garbage, and might have something of a conscience, and might feel somewhat rueful about selling a broken POS after hyping if to high heaven.
The fact that it took so long is probably because someone at 343 was allowed to do it on their own, if the studio had actually comitted any resources to fixing it, it would not have taken until now.

Whomever thanks are owed, it is not the dev nor the publisher, it is a very small group of people.

No? In games like bf4 or even cod if you have a slow connection the game starts before you load in. This has been going on for ages. I play bo2 in back compat and the same happens with that and it came out like 3 years before halo mcc.

Take the Sonic Mania approach. I bet there are fans out there who could make a better Halo than 343; that's not saying much, but it's a start.

I really wishyou wouldn't push your anecdotal experience over everyone else's and claim the game is fixed based on that. Over the past year I've tried to play it dozens of times and consistently run into hilarious frame rate and slowdown issues in coop, as well as most multiplayer matches taking 7+ minutes to load, by which time the game is almost over. It's pathetic and depressing how poorly MCC was built and I despise the idea that the game is okay in its current state just because some people don't have problems

The game is still horrendously broken. To say the least, they're still running the gold code of Halo 3, which was patched multiple times after launch

For Halo's "plot" it was never a deep introspective into a character like 343 has been trying to do, it's just good and memorable dialogue and decent setpieces that hold up each campaign of the main trilogy.

Attempts to spice up the weapon sandbox with dual wielding creates too much clutter and weak weapons when not dual-wielding but at the same time using two at once doesnt make them viable either outside of maybe 1-2 combinations.

Because it's one of the most successful franchises of all time and associated with Xbox which everyone hates all of a sudden.

Literally everyone had a 360 back in the day and a Wii too. Only asshurt PlayStation fans who refused to buy a 360 or Wii were the ones who hated Xbox simply because it was cheaper and more popular with better performing games. Even Sup Forums used to love the 360 and Wii. Only now do people hate Xbox but that's mostly for the exact same reasons people hated it last gen and that's because they own PlayStation now. I have both consoles and don't shill for either and I love my Xbox and play it all the time. Halo mcc is one of my favourite games of the gen. On the ps4 side I'm currently playing yakuza 0 which is also pretty good.

You can just not install the patch but you can't play online without it. Same goes for PlayStation. They both give you the options to play games without the latest patch but you lose access to online features.
