Graphics don't mean anything to me, I can run most new games on my old 770 just fine at 60fps on low/medium. I guess games that rely on atmosphere greatly could profit from higher graphical fidelity but to me who grew up playing isometric games consisting of 64x64px textures, graphics are secondary.

The setting is always interesting to me if it's in a historical context, I've always like AC games out of the underlying historical proxy factor. Sure it's just a context that outlines the setting and doesn't really care about the actual events that went on in the time such the cult of personality about the empirical family or their ritualistic lives, but I'll still get my fill by just walking around pretending I'm in ancient egypt.

Open world games are by default worse than strictly linear games in terms of building a coherent story and meaningful character interactions, because devs who make open world games knows that it attracts a certain type of player, but due to how the AAA industry these days works it's sort of like cramming 20 flavors of ice cream into one jar to please everyone.

As far as the gameplay goes, it's an open world game. You have to keep in mind that while trying to compare it to a purely action game like the souls games.

But seeing as the game comes out on the same day as Wolfenstein 2 I know which game I'll be playing.

If they finally make the stealth decent then I might check it out, AC always has had great potential. The first game tried to merge soft social stealth mechanics like Hitman with greater mobility, and it was sometimes fun

The awful combat, shitty story and gay set pieces dragged them down. The open world was also completely unnecessary.
