ITT: Victims of Development hell
I honestly couldn't give less of a shit about Bannerlord, and the fact it releases in Early Access is the straw that broke the camel's back.
ITT: Victims of Development hell
>I don't care
>Here's my thread about that thing i don't care about.
By "don't care" I suppose I meant I won't be buying or really paying any mind to it.
Which rings true since I forget it exists until they spam another update on steam about the development, which is rarely anything worth noting.
It's just sad to see, really.
good for you
personally, bannerlord is the ONE game I'm looking forward to
I don't care if it's in development for another 5 years if it's good
Then why are you making threads about it.
Seems like thats the opposite of 'paying it no mind'.
Warband was EA too btw
STALKER was development hell. It took around 10 years and even with all that time what was released was very unstable and riddled with bugs and also unfinished. This is exactly why publishers don't give developers all the time and money they "need".
this is literally the only game I care about.
when it comes it it will be the last game I ever play.
"Let's talk about things that have been so fucked by terrible development that we've lost interest in the game"
"You made a thread so OBVIOUSLY you care"
jesus
I really used to be in the same boat but from what I've seen it's a shinier warband with some tacked on gimmick-mechanics.
The one thing I thought looked neato was the siege stuff but honestly I don't know if I want to sit through another Early Access slog just for that.
>it's a shinier warband with some tacked on gimmick-mechanics
that's exactly what I want tho
>I really used to be in the same boat but from what I've seen it's a shinier warband with some tacked on gimmick-mechanics.
I know, that's why it's the only game I care about.
>I really used to be in the same boat but from what I've seen it's a shinier warband with some tacked on gimmick-mechanics.
Thats exactly what everyone wanted.
>This is exactly why publishers don't give developers all the time and money they "need".
What does that mean? Are you seriously defending a developing company that takes 10 years to release a game? Do you have any experience with how investment works?
But I'm not really willing to shell out money for an early access to slog and further wait to get all that.
I know it's the sequel to Warband and Warband is a quintessential PC game but that doesn't save them. It's been fucking years of barely anything and I'm extremely burnt out on Warband.
The number of mods adding mechanics and flavour to the game mean that Bannerlord is probably going to feel boring and vanilla as shit on launch, with the MP being relatively fun for a while and then that'll be that.
You guys do know that M&B is just a third person melee game with boring combat mechanics compared to any other game in the genre, along with a superficial stat system and rpg overworld, right?
jfc you manchild just don't buy it if you don't want it
plenty of people DO want it
Why are you so hostile to the idea of people criticising Bannerlord's development or the developers? I'm sure you've probably slated other games for similar practices or lost your enthusiasm for them. Why is this different?
>Are you seriously defending a developing company that takes 10 years to release a game?
No, the opposite. It's well known in development circles that work expands to fill time and whatever money is given it's just not quite enough so you make sure they know there is absolutely no more money or time coming to them and all the sudden it's possible to pull off the "impossible". If you keep giving them time and money the project will never end.
Cyberpunk 2077
First for Sarranids.
>LOOK AT ME, I DON'T CARE
>too young to know that both M&B games were in early access
Have a sage.
+1
This entire thread is literally "IT'S OKAY WHEN TALEWORLDS DOES IT" as if they're super-mighty devs.
Anyone remember when the launch of NW was so horrendously fucked because of all their official servers jewing up the players despite the game being kept alive by regiments?
Anyone remember Viking DLC which was a lower level of quality than the free mod?
They aren't BAD developers but they certainly aren't perfect, I'm not going to ball-lick them just because I liked their game.
I don't think you get it, I just want bannerlord.
Bannerlord looks pretty garbo. I'd rather see something innovative and new like the previous games kinda were. Boardgames and a crafting system yay!
What I don't get is what's taking them so long.
There are fucking warband mods with more features than what they promise for Bannerlord.
TaleWorlds have done the early access thing forever. It funded the development of the first game.
>Anyone remember Viking DLC which was a lower level of quality than the free mod?
The one that wasn't made by TW but by the devs of the original mod?
>The number of mods adding mechanics and flavour to the game mean that Bannerlord is probably going to feel boring and vanilla as shit on launch
This is a legitimate problem. He's probably right, just wait for all the threads moaning about the lack of content. Vanilla has always been pretty barren.
>when warband autists and talesword ball fondlers ruin a perfectly good thread
^^^^^^^this dynast warrior does it better
I don't know, it seems like a flat expansion of content in every direction. We have to wait and see what actual content there is because boy oh boy do we have jack shit they've given us.
>that OP
>a 'perfectly good thread'
Lol.
>that camera view
if you're gonna shove the camera so damn close to the player character why not have 1st-person camera instead?
muh powrful anima hack n slash
They're zoomed in. It's got the same camera as Warband, which is pretty close anyway.
