I really do not care.
How is ICEY though?
but then you have a steam link
As someone who got a Steam Link for $15, Steam Link is fucking worthless and is already collecting dust in my attic.
i'd rather have $1
>implying they'd actually give it to you
That
I don't see any use for it
can you refund the game afterwards?
Am I alone in seeing this as a better deal for Icey and not the Steam link. I actually doubt this is an error.
worth a shot
With shipping you basically earn 5-10$ on eBay at best
What the fuck is Steam Link?
>Steam
Fuck off shill. I will never use cancerous "services" like Steam or GOG.
EU here
23e in total
it is a good deal, IMO
i paid with card money, though
t.consolenigger
The fuck is a steam link
Are there alternatives to Steam?
is that to me Steam sucks and Gabe Newell is a son of a bitch.
He probably pirates; which is just stealing, so he's just a regular nigger.
I really have no idea what Steam Link is.
I don't know what the fuck Icey or Steam Link is but I bought it anyway, I doubt it'll actually go through, expecting an email later today saying I was refunded my order.
Nope, PC only.
I buy the few games that get a proper physical release, I pirate everything else.
I don't even know what the fuck that thing is
it don't work on my machine
Doesn't work. Checkout asks for like $17
try GOG or Origin.
That's shipping and handling.
It's only a good deal if you actually want to use the Steam Link for yourself
>There's also shipping costs though (~$7.99)
Im glad you know how to read
>steam link connects to a TV and your network so you can stream games from your PC to a TV in another room
What a useless piece of shit
the Origin looks good.
by the way, Steam is shit for motherfuckers
Buy proper physical releases and pirate everything else or just pirate everything. If you pay for digital distribution you are voting for cancer.
shipping is $7.99
same. just used up some of my steam wallet anyway so who cares. a 50 dollar item being sold for $1 lol
>shipping is the same price as the product
obviously I bought it because I want the steam link
>Origin
>better than Steam
I think it's stupid PC gamers, idolize in Fat Bastard as Newell
You're dumb user. 7 bucks for the game, 1 buck for the useless box, 8 bucks to ship the useless box. Undiscounted, the box is 50 bucks.
>the Origin looks good
>using shit from EA
>ever
Where do you even go on Steam to view your purchases and receipts?
Is this actually a good deal though? I don't really need the damn thing.
>Steam Link
for what purpose?
Seriously, what the fuck would I want that thing for? Steam controller I can understand but a Link?
If you don't want the game, it's basically half off after shipping.
I was mildly interested in ICEY so for $16 I get a steam link with the game, sounds like a decent deal.
Well I'll buy it and then resell it for a little profit of 20 to 30€ I guess, the thing seems pretty useless.
Cool, what else you do not use? We really need to know this, because we at Sup Forums really want an all-inclusive environment for our users! Fuck off, shmuck
good luck with that
It may cost $50 bucks but no one actually pays that much for it
On eBay they are sold at $30 new with included shipping
>he doesn't play games on his living room tv
>$7.99 shipping
I can't even gift the game. Steam Link was selling for $10 on Amazon, with free Prime shipping at one point.
I would only get it if it came with a steam controller.
>Pricing error
>Implying they aren't trying to dump that piece of garbage.
How many of these Steam Link things did Valve make that they're dumping them for $1 each? Also, why the hell did they make it in the first place when no one wants it?
Heck, it's an actual ad when you start Steam up. They know exactly what they are doing.
>Mfw I use the Steam Link to play a relaxed game on my living room TV in the morning while I drink my morning coffee
I dont want to lug my tower downstairs and replug it in every time I want to play my games on the big screen TV.
Also you can stream Steam between devices now and I use that with my Surface to play games in bed, shit's cash.
Steam Links kinda finicky though and I find it goes to shit if there's multiple devices in the house using the internet, also you want both you PC and your link on a wired connection. Otherwise it IS garbage. If you're living situation can't accommodate it like mine used to not be able to it's totally ass, but if you're living situation can accommodate it it's pretty fucking fantastic.
Do you remember Steam Machines and Steam controllers? They were branching out into the gaming hardware market, but relied on third parties to make the computers. The only people that stepped to the plate were swindlers selling outdated pre-made computers for top prices. It fell apart.
yeah, you know what, I'm actually refunding, don't even want this shit with a 99% sale
I sort of understand its purpose, where if you like to play certain games on your big tv out in another room, maybe just for coop/multiplayer, but also want your pc to stay in your room for other games. I guess? It's nearly useless but people will pay for convenience.
>Caring about a service based on the personal opinions of it's executives
How much of a buttblasted bitch are you?
A hdmi cable works well enough. inb4 neo-Sup Forums doesn't have the muscle strength to lift the tower box
>EA shit
>Bitching about steam
People use steam out of convenience
Not everyone is a whiny fucking cunt like you
I do remember the Steam Machine which was another thing that made no damn sense. "Hey guys we're going to make a console standard for PC." Like WTF, if I wanted a console I'd buy a console. Valve literally has no idea what the fuck they're doing any more.
Link doesn't work here (Norway)
>wanting a computer tower destroying the aesthetic of your entertainment center
Take some pride in your home, user.
Link doesn't work!!!
only usa 8====D
to think pc gaming couldnt get worse you morons find a way , feeding a fat bastard and doom everyone to get their games in a ass fuckery dmr platform
reminder you need a samsung TV to play this chinese bootleg garbage otherwise your TV bricks, don't fall for this guys. It's not a bug and valve wants your money
is true cat got aids stay away!!!
Who says I'm buying shit? Just because I shit on stupid faggot who screams shill in every thread doesn't mean I suck Gabe's dick. Goddamn when will you fags finally learn.
>USA and canada only
fug my ass
Hungary here, link works
>Implying any modern console looks better than a built PC tower
Holy fuck, like, how pleb is your taste.
>Taking pride in your "entertainment center" aka the place where you sit on your stupid ass and burn time
I can almost guarantee nobody visits you anyway you stupid faggot.
Steam is for gays and losers.
any alternative is much better than that Steam crap
and Gabe Newell is a fucking
The Steam Link works perfectly if you don't have a shitty router. I dunno why you guys are freaking out.
And where can I get physical PC games nowadays?
And where can I download pirated PC games without using uTorrent?
>muh $200 tempered glass with embedded LEDs GAYMIN tower totally isn't a cancerous eyesore guiz.
How do you justify your existence?
What's the problem with GoG though?
Fucking leaf here and it doesn't work. I guess they fixed it.
yeah or you could just simply stream your games via wifi or ethernet or hdmi without needing that shitbox
I can even stream at 4k via wifi without problems
I bought mine new at gamestop for $15. Rarely use it.
who are you quoting?
>buying ricer shit
Sasuga, user.
>Steam is shit
>recommends Origin
There's such a thing as making your bait TOO obvious user.
Stream it to what? If you don't already have a HTPC on the TV you're connecting it to, the Steam Link is a steal.
That's nice, but why would I want a Steam Link?
to TV
Your inner thoughts
Says the guy that wants an enormous space heater that doubles as a Sony/Microsoft advertisement sitting on their entertainment center.
>A discrete box sitting neatly on a shelf underneath your tv
>versus a foot and a half tall tower with seven different cables coming out of it
I wonder which one is more offsetting.
Battlestation thread? Battlestation thread.
>supporting valve after what they did with half life
>supporting valve after what they do with their "games"
>enjoying streaming your game licenses
This is NOT a pricing error. It's Volvo's way of shifting off a ton of worthless plastic.
Gaben pls go. No one wants your shitty hardware.
>discrete box
>discrete
>DISCRETE
Just wanted to chime in to say I have SteamLink and it works great over WiFi for most games, just not super graphically intense ones because video compression still sucks
It won't let me buy it.
When I add it to cart just ICEY shows up. Can't even continue to the checkout.
>the actually useful to me because my computer room is across the house from my bedroom
Thanks, OP.
Well it's not a continuous box, is it?
It's not a pricing error, it's a sale. With shipping and handling, you still end up paying like 15 bucks for the bundle.
I'm confused, if you are already streaming via WiFi then why would you need Link? Can't your TV just connect to your PC and mirror the screen?
I know mine can that's why I'm asking
