Despite precure being conceived originally as an all-ages thing, toei has always wanted for it to be focused more towards little girls, it is believed and feared that eventually all action will be removed, but nobodys sure.
That is why all precure games are or rhythm or puzzle games or really simple platformers. A fightan or a musou are waaaay off the image the suits at toei want to give the series.

A scientist creates suits of armor out of fragments of Odin's spear and a Japanese sword of legend that is the only thing that can fight against these ayy lmao looking monsters that are popping up more frequently than usual. During a concert that's also an experiment on another ancient relic shot goes wrong and one of the girls dies protecting the MC. 2 years later it turns out parts of the girls armor got lodged in the MC and couldn't be removed via surgery and over time merged with her so the armor is part of her now. She sucks at fighting though so she trains in martial arts with the commander of the whole group who's also Akuma by watching Bruce Lee movies. By the end you learn that the majority of events in the show were orchestrated by the scientist who's actually the reincarnation of a Sumerian priest that wants to fuck god that designed the armor system to fund construction of a giant rail gun that's built in the secret base underneath the MC's school so she can blow up the moon.
And that's just season 1
