8th best-selling game in the US for September 2017

>8th best-selling game in the US for September 2017
>second best-selling Nintendo game behind one that came out at the end of August as opposed to middle of September
>estimated 500,000 units sold

We did it, lads.

She's back.

Metroid 5 will be released on the Switch, I never thought this day would ever come.

>estimated 500,000 units sold
how do ya know?

So with Metroid 5 now going to be a thing do you guys expect Nintendo to finally explain Samus’s genetic condition? Since it’s been a question that I had for a while due to Sakamoto stating she recovered her genetic condition, rebuilding is and changing its form or organization.

Maybe they'll make a great 2D Metroid now.

What is an amiibo supposed to unlock in this game

DELETE THIS

just got this.
the level design seems a bit worse than expected and there's way too many statue stations. also ive got ice/spiderball and even a scan ability and only beaten like 2 metroids so far.
the new aiming sucks dicks though. and i really wish you could remap controls and at least switch to dpad.

the melee move seems a bit silly

>yfw they shit it out on the 3DS again in 2019

I’m fine with that. It doesn’t matter which system gets it, as long as it exists I’m happy.

He must be shitting in his diaper after seeing the news.

Funnily enough, just yesterday he was bragging about how Nintendo hasn't revealed any sales information yet meaning it was obviously a huge flop. He's been awfully quiet since the info came out today.

Apologize

The ice beam doesn't seem to have much use for anything but fighting metroids

The items are pretty orthodox overall

You can use the ice beam to one shot most enemies

But they're easy to kill anyway

Sakamoto must be kicking himself every day for not putting a 2D Metroid on the Wii.

He probably is, he wanted to make one really bad back then.

considering im not using melee the ice seems pretty useful (although shit damage). seems everything wants to blink white and then charge at me

>this shitty weapon is useful because I refuse to use the mechanic that enemies were designed around

Florida is a faggy state.

He wanted Other M to be 2D in the first place but Team Ninja wanted it to be 3D.

If he had his way, the story still would have been dogshit, but at least it would have been a little more enjoyable to play.

who is this faggot and why should I care

idk the melee feels like a "fuck you" to old fans
it adds nothing to the game

How's replayability?

Sequence breaking possible at all? Different loadouts or something? How short/long is the game?

I'm interested but I hope it's not a "one and done" affair, this is Metroid after all

This

There is an ending animation that can only be seen if you get sub 3 hours so yes, there are ways to speed up progression.

I should also note that an average play session for the first time is around 8-12 hours (I believe I clocked in at 10-ish).

thanks user, sounds like Metroid to me.

silly question, but did you go physical or digital?

Physical.

Pic related.

oh nice. i may go digital myself, I like having all the games with me and it's not like Nintendo's gonna put this game on sale anytime soon
